    Abstract: The objectives of this research were to explain the characteristic of the newspaper’s profile of fishery and marine development, to compare the objectiveity of the reports based on the result of censuses of fishery and marine science and mass media experts’ opinions, to study the policy of news on fishery and marine development on Kaltim Post newspaper editorial staff. The respondents were chosen by using purposive sampling method and were supported by disproportional stratifed random sampling method for news sample clipped for evaluation from the panelist expert team. The data obtained was then analyszed by using content analysist method. The research findings show that the subject matter proportion frequency and volume are mainly dominated with news on marketing and the type of writing is dominated with news, it is also dominated with positive tendencies and non-headlines. The panelist expert team and the mass media expert gave much kind of opinion to the news. Based on the census result, the news is presented enough objectively. The reseacrh findings show that news on fishery and marine development is still considered as a minor discourse by Kaltim Post

    Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Belawan merupakan salah satu pelabuhan perikanan terbesar di Sumatera Utara. Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Belawan berperan penting dalam kegiatan penangkapan ikan dan pemasaran. Pelabuhan Perikaanan Samudera Belawan berada di tempat strategis, terutama di antara perairan bagian timur Sumatera (Selat Malaka), perairan di Zona Ekonomi Eksklusif Indonesia (ZEEI) dan Laut Cina Selatan, serta juga merupakan pintu masuk perekonomian kegiatan beberapa negara Tujuan Penelitian adalah Mengetahui profil dan fungsi-fungsi kegiatan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Belawan secara Deskriktif dan Mengidentifikasi peran pelabuhan dalam peningkatan hasil tangkapan`ikan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Belawan. Jumlah responden 20 nelayan menggunakan metode teknik skala Likert. Dari hasil diperoleh bahwa Tingkat kegiatan produksi sebagian memasuki peringkat tinggi dengan nilai 7,5. pada indikator mempelancar pemasaran hasil tangkap sebagian memasuki peringkat tinggi dengan nilai 7,5. Berdasarkan indikator menimbulkan rasa aman bagi nelayan sebagian memasuki peringkat tinggi dengan nilai 9. Berdasarkan indikator mempermudah pembinaan sebagian memasuki peringkat tinggi dengan poin 9. Berdasarkan indikator menunjang pengorganisasian usaha nelayan dan unit ekonomi sebagian memasuki peringkat tinggi dengan nilai 9.     Validation of Spectrophotometric Method for Analysis of Anionic Surfactant Dodecyl Benzene Sulphonate (DBS) in Catfish (Clarias batrachus) Using Malachite Green

    Validation method of DBS anionic surfactant analysis on Clarias batrachus has been conducted. The method of analysis was divided into twophase, namely the extraction with solid-liquid extractionusing Soxhlet and analysis DBS. The extraction was performed using n-hexane and methanol for 9 and 6 hours, respectively. The analysis was performed using Spectrophotometer UV-Vis based on the complex formation of surfactant-malachite green (DBS-MG). These methods are applied to determine DBS accumulation of Clarias batrachus with DBS concentration exposure and DBS concentration of Clarias batrachus in markets. The result showed that the parameters of validation methods has high acceptability as linearity (R2 = 0.99), limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) (0.029 mg/L and 0.089 mg/L), sensitivity (ε = 38.15 × 104 L mol-1 cm-1), precision (RSD = 0.10-1.83 %) and accuracy (recovery = 80-92 %). The result of analysis of DBS in Clarias batrachus with 2.5; 5; 10; 15 mg/L of DBS concentration exposure obtained 5.5; 6.8; 7.9; 8.7 mg/L respectively and Clarias batrachus from markets in a range 2.0-4.2 mg/L. The result showed that the analysis of DBS anionic surfactants using MG can be applied for Clarias batrachus.     The effect of salinity on the release of copper (Cu), lead (Pb) and zinc (Zn) in tailing sediment have been studied by stripping voltammetry. The purpose of the research is to know the effect of salinity on the release of metals with certain pH, conductivity and variety of metals. Simultaneous determination of copper, lead and zinc in tailing was done by Differential Pulse Anodic Stripping Voltammetry (DPASV) onto hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) and nitric acid 65% as support electrolyte. The limit of detection for this method 0.60 Lig/L, 0.150 !AWL and 0.238 Ltg/L for copper, lead and iMc respectively. The stripping solution of 30 O/o. salinity with pH= 7.85, conductivity= 46.62 mS/cm gives the a mounts of dreleased metals as follows :14.867 pg/L Cu, 0.976 pg/L Pb and 6.224 pg/L Zn These results are higher as compared with the results from 15 °/00 salinity with pH= 7.66, conductivity= 23.22 mS/cm that give released metals of Cu= 7.988 Ag/L, Pb= 0.311 Lig& and Zn= 4.699 pg/L. the results from ANOVA suggest that this is due to different in salinity of the solution. It also found thet the conductivity does not give any effect. It can be concluded that the higher salinity will that give higher concentration or released metals.     AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan multimedia interaktif yang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran komputer dan jaringan dasar materi perakitan komputer kelas X Multimedia di SMKN 1 Jombang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah R&D dengan model pengembangan Lee & Owens dengan tahapan; analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Sumber data penelitian ini dari uji kelayakan menggunakan angket yang diberikan kepada ahli materi yaitu guru Multimedia kelas X di SMKN 1 Jombang, ahli desain pembelajaran dan ahli media yaitu dosen dari jurusan S1 Kurikulum dan Teknologi Pendidikan, serta Uji coba pengguna oleh peserta didik kelas X Multimedia di SMKN 1 Jombang. Hasil analisis validasi ahli desain pembelajaran sebesar 92,72%, ahli materi mendapat presentase sebesar 97,5%, ahli media 91,1%, validasi buku penyerta 90%, dan uji cobasebesar 86,8%. Berdasarkan hasil uji pada para ahli dan peserta didik tersebut termasuk dalam kriteria penilaian sangat baik, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian pengembangan multimedia interaktifmateri perakitan komputer telah layak dan dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran komputer dan jaringan dasar untuk peserta didik kelas X SMKN 1 Jombang.Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, Multimedia Interaktif, Komputer, Jaringan DasarAbstractThis study aims to produce interactive multimedia that is suitable for use in computer learning and basic networking materials for class X Multimedia computer assembly at SMKN 1 Jombang. The method used in this research is R&D with Lee & Owens development model with stages; analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The source of this research data is from the feasibility test using a questionnaire given to material experts, namely class X Multimedia teachers at SMKN 1 Jombang, learning design experts and media experts, namely lecturers from the S1 Department of Education Curriculum and Technology, as well as user trials by students of class X Multimedia. at SMKN 1 Jombang. The results of the validation analysis of learning design experts are 92.72%, material experts get a percentage of 97.5%, media experts are 91.1%, accompanying book validation is 90%, and trials are 86.8%.     DAMPAK TRANSFORMASI NITROGEN TERHADAP LINGKUNGAN BIOTIK DI DANAU TONDANO PROVINSI SULAWESI UTARA = (The Impact of Nitrogen Transformation on The Biotic Environment in The Lake Tondano North SulawesI)

    Nitrogen di lingkunganakan mengalami transformasi ke dalam bentuk-bentuk senyawa antara lain nitrat (NO&#8323), nitrit (NO&#8322), ammonia (NH&#8323). Transformasi dari nitrogen menjadi nitrat, nitrit, dan ammonia akan berdampak negatif terhadap lingkungan biotic yaitu terbentuknya kondisi toksik, berdampak negatif pada biota air (flora akuatik), dominansi flora akuatik danau serta berubahnya fungsi ekosistem danau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dampak transformasi nitrogen terhadap 1ingkunganbiotik (flora akuatik) di Danau Tondano. Pengambilan sampel kualitas air dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode composite sampling pada 24 lokasi sampel di Danau Tondano yaitu 6 sampel di bagian timur danau, 3 sampel di bagian barat danau, 4 sampel di bagian selatan danau dan 10 sampel di bagian tengah danau dan 1 sampel di bagian utara Danau Tondano, kemudian dilakukan pengukuran in situ untuk parameter temperatur air, dan pH. Analisis parameter nitrat, nitrit, ammonia dilakukan di Laboratorium Balai Teknik Kesehatan Lingkungan Provinsi Sulawesi Utara. Lokasi pengambilan sampel flora akuatik adalah 1 sampel di bagian barat Danau Tondano (Paleloan), 4 sampe1di bagian timur danau (Eris, Tasuka, Ranomerut), dan 1 sampel di bagian utara danau (To1our). Hasil analisis laboratorium menunjukkan bahwa transformasi nitrogen menjadi nitrat, nitrit, ammonia di permukaan Danau Tondano terkonsentrasi tinggi di bagian timur dan bagian tengah Danau T,ondano.Flora akuatik yang mendominasi perairan adalah Eceng Gondok ( Eichhornia crassipes) dengan Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) 60-155

    Acute and Chronic Toxicity of Mercury Exposure in Seafood and Human Populations near a Small-Scale Gold Mining Area

    Gold amalgamation processes using mercury were practiced in small scale gold mining activities in Krueng Sabee, Aceh Province. Seafood (fish, mollusc, shrimp) and human hair samples were collected to assess mercury concentrations.  Acute and chronic toxicity symptoms which arise among the populations were observed as well as personal protective equipment used by gold miners. The range of mercury concentrations varied among fish, shrimp, and molluscs. The highest mercury levels were recorded in fish Puntius latristriga (172.299 ± 10.626 µg/g wet wt.), followed by mollusc, Polymesoda caroliniana (160,032 ± 0,522 µg/g wet wt.), fish R.kanagurta (149 ±2,000 µg/g wet wt.), shrimp Penaeus monodon (116.975 ± 4.807 µg/g wet wt.).  The variation of mercury concentrations in hair samples of 72 respondents were detected from 5.7 µg/g to 88.1 µg/g. The most frequent acute and chronic intoxication symptoms documented were headache, muscle cramps, cough, and aphthous ulcers. Personal protective equipment which has correlation with high mercury levels in gold miners were respirator/mask, gloves, and apparel (p < 0.05). All seafood samples exceeded 0.5 µg Hg/g MoH Food and Drug Administrasion threshold level and hair samples over 10 µg/g as set by WHO tolerance limit
