Kompetenzen erweitern: Weiterbildungen für Hebammen

Die Berner Fachhochschule hat eine Erhebung zum Weiterbildungsbedarf von Hebammen durchgeführt. Besonders beliebt sind Fachkurse und CAS-Studiengänge. Thematisch wünschen sich Hebammen interprofessionelle Notfall- oder Skillstrainings, aber auch eine Vertiefung zur Unterstützung gesundheitserhaltender Prozesse im perinatalen Setting

Attitudes towards interprofessionalism among midwife students after hybrid-simulation: A prospective cohort study

Background: Team performance, communication and leadership enhance the quality and effectiveness of interprofessional collaborations between midwifery students and anaesthetists in obstetric emergencies. The realistic setting of hybrid simulation provides practice for interprofessional competencies in a stressful environment without putting women at risk during childbirth. Objectives: We investigated how full-scale interprofessional hybrid simulation affects the attitudes towards interprofessionalism of final year midwife students. Design: Two-centre prospective cohort study. Settings: Bern Simulation and CPR Centre of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the Bern University Hospital (Bern, Switzerland) and Zürich University of Applied Sciences. Participants: Final year midwife students from Bern University of Applied Sciences and Zürich University of Applied Sciences, both from the German-speaking Switzerland. Methods: One cohort was exposed to hybrid simulation and the other served as control. The simulation group filled in the German Interprofessional Attitude Scale (G-IPAS) before and after simulation, and then again three months later. The control group filled in two sets of G-IPAS questionnaires three months apart. Results: The total G-IPAS score increased significantly towards a more positive interprofessional attitude directly after the hybrid simulation. This increase was not sustained over the observation period of three months, although the score remained significantly higher than the score of the cohort without simulation. Conclusions: A novel interprofessional hybrid simulation for obstetric emergencies for midwifery students promoted improved attitudes towards interprofessionalism immediately after simulation. These attitudes were improved compared to a control cohort without simulation, and the difference between the two cohorts remained three months after simulation. Future studies might focus on whether improved interprofessional attitudes lead to better healthcare and safety for women and children during childbirth

Les compétences des sages-femmes selon la loi

Deutsch: Seit Anfang Jahr ist das Gesundheitsberufegesetz in Kraft und definiert die Kom­petenzen von Hebammen und sechs weiteren Berufsgruppen. Ein Gesetz regelt nicht nur Pflichten, es beinhaltet auch Rechte und bietet Schutz. Entstanden ist es in mehrjähriger, intensiver Zusammenarbeit von Behörden und Vertreterinnen aus der Berufskonferenz sowie unter Einbezug von Hebammen aus verschiedenen Bereichen der Praxis und der Lehre. Sie haben mit grosser Umsicht und Sorgfalt die grund­legenden Formulierungen erarbeitet und in den Vernehmlassungen verteidigt Français: La loi sur les professions de la santé est en vigueur depuis le début de l’année et définit les compétences des sages-femmes et de six autres professions. Une telle loi règle non seulement les devoirs mais aussi les droits et offre une protection. Elle a été créée après plusieurs années de coopération intensive entre les autorités et les représentants de la Conférence professionnelle ainsi qu'avec la participation de sages-femmes de divers domaines de la pratique et de l'enseignement. Celles-ci ont élaboré les formulations de base avec grand soin et diligence et les ont défendues lors des consultations

Studierende Hebammen der Berner Fachhochschule trainieren zusammen mit angehenden Anästhesisten der Universitätsklinik Bern gesundheitskritische Situationen im Gebärzimmer. Diese Kombination ist schweizweit einmalig und sehr realitätsnah. Sie verbessert das interprofessionelle Handeln

Vertrauen und Selbstwirksamkeit in der Schwangerschaft stärken

Für jede Hebamme ist es wichtig, Massnahmen zu kennen, welche Frauen unterstützen, Vertrauen in ihren Körper zu fördern und ihre Selbstwirksamkeit zu stärken. Eine Schwangerenvorsorge in der Gruppe, geleitet von einer Hebamme und angereichert mit Wissensvermittlung, Präsenz, Unterstützung und Körper­ bzw. Sinneswahrnehmungen, kann empfohlen werden
