The work purpose - to study interrelation between the frequency of distribution of addictions and a state of health of students of higher education institutions. Examination of 365 students of stomatologic faculty of the Perm state medical university at the age of 21-26 years, and also 44 students of chemical faculty of the Perm state scientific research university at the age of 20-22 years is conducted. In the I gr. supervision special attention was paid on a condition of the mucous membrane of an oral cavity (MMOC) and the red border of lips (RBL) of the smoking students, and in the II gr. - on progress level depending on the frequency of distribution of addictions (smoking, alcohol intake). The obtained data confirm need of dispensary supervision over students, since their 1 st course in HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION, and teachers should carry out an individual approach when carrying out teaching and educational work.

    Kinesiotherapy for back pain

    Get PDF
Back pain treatment is one of the most common problems in medical practice. The paper presents the theoretical and practical bases of physical therapy for people experiencing pain in the back and neck, considers in detail the main kinesiotherapy techniques used in modern rehabilitation, analyzes the principles of their selection for the most effective recovery of locomotor activity and for reduction of the severity of pain syndrome, and discusses the modes of motor activity. Hardware techniques that facilitate the implementation of complex therapeutic movements are considered separately. A rationale is provided for the importance of increasing motor activity and muscular strength and normalizing muscle tone, by restoring blood circulation and by reducing inflammation and pathological impulses from the affected spine. The possibilities of kinesiotherapy for acute and chronic nonspecific back pain, discogenic radiculopathy, and lumbar stenosis are discussed

DAIRY PRODUCTS IN A DIET OF CHILDREN WITH AN INSUFFICIENCY OF VITAMIN D

The article presents current data on an important role of vitamin D in an organism and possible disorders leading to the provision decrease. Research objective: to determine the sufficiency of vitamin D in children staying in hospital with bronchopulmonary pathology without diagnosed rachitis, to show the role of dairy products in a diet for correction of lack of the vitamin D. A total of 120 children from the 1 month to 3 years were examined, in 20 of them 25(OH)D level in a blood serum was detected via the enzyme-liked immunoassay. The average values in infants were 13,3±0,6 ng/ml, in patients in comparative group 25,9±1,1ng/ml. Findings indicate the necessity of correction of vitamin D for children, in particular using dairy products. Enriched milk products provide children’s organism with vital nutrients as a factor supporting their health

Changes in bacterial and archaeal community assemblages along an ombrotrophic peat bog profile

Peatlands are archives of extreme importance for the assessment of past ecological, environmental and climatic changes. The importance as natural archives is even greater in the case of ombrotrophic peat bogs, where the only inputs are atmospheric in origin. Here we integrated previously published physical and chemical results regarding the solid and liquid phase of peat with a biomolecular microbiological approach to assess the relationships between chemistry and microbial biodiversity along a Swiss bog profile corresponding to approximately 2,000 years of peat formation. The structure of bacterial and archaeal communities was assessed through a polymerase chain reaction-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (PCR-DGGE) approach followed by sequencing of PCR-DGGE bands of interest. Both chemical and microbiological data showed a differentiation of properties along the peat profile, with three major zones identified. Both bacterial and archaeal profiles clustered according to the depth (i.e., age) of samples. Among bacteria, Acidobacteria were recovered primarily in the first layers of the profile, whereas methanogenic archaea were more commonly recovered in the deepest part of the core, corresponding to the occurring anoxic conditions. Finally, a number of sequences had low homologies with known species, especially in bacteria: this points to an almost unknown microbial community adapted to the extreme conditions of peat bogs, which are acidic, rich in dissolved organic C, and predominantly anoxic. \ua9 2014 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg
