The structure and dynamics of internal costs of research and development in the regions of the Russian Federation have been considered. Particular attention has been paid to the characteristics of the scope of variation and uniformity of internal costs of research and development per organization. The regions with the maximum values of the considered indicator have been selected. The grouping of the subjects of the Russian Federation on the priority areas of research and development costs for 2010 and 2017 has been carried out. Professional intentions and career orientations of students and graduates to «sociology»

The results of empirical survey are introduced in the article. They have been done by focus-group discussion methods. On the basis of empirical research, some key factors affecting the professional development of students have been determined. The outcome expands the knowledge about students’ professional socialization and can be used by sociologists, economists, psychologists and teachers during the educational process.В статье представлены результаты эмпирического исследования, проведенного методами анкетного опроса и фокусгрупповых дискуссий. Student’s research work as the condition of continuity of general and professional education

The problem in question is necessitate by the contradictions between requirements of successive educational process of general and professional education and the absence of new mechanisms of providing the continuity of education which is effective under modern conditions. The aim of the article in question is to provide the potential of the research activity of students as a factor of integration of general and professional educational activities. Theoretical analysis and synthesis are used as the method of investigation for the basis of continuity of education, modeling of the integral pedagogical system, university-school and pedagogical experiment in checking the interdependent process of development of research activity of schoolchildren and students and providing the continuity of general and professional education. The article also describes the structure of research activity and appropriateness of its development with school-children and students, and explains its integral character which provides the subjective development of a personality of a student that, in its turn comprises the inner structure of educational continuity. Behavioral Impact of the Regulation of the Brain 2-Oxoglutarate Dehydrogenase Complex by Synthetic Phosphonate Analog of 2-Oxoglutarate: Implications into the Role of the Complex in Neurodegenerative Diseases

Decreased activity of the mitochondrial 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex (OGDHC) in brain accompanies neurodegenerative diseases. To reveal molecular mechanisms of this association, we treated rats with a specific inhibitor of OGDHC, succinyl phosphonate, or exposed them to hypoxic stress. In males treated with succinyl phosphonate and in pregnancy-sensitized females experiencing acute hypobaric hypoxia, we revealed upregulation of brain OGDHC (within 24 hours), with the activity increase presumably representing the compensatory response of brain to the OGDHC inhibition. This up-regulation of brain OGDHC was accompanied by an increase in exploratory activity and a decrease in anxiety of the experimental animals. Remarkably, the hypoxia-induced elevation of brain OGDHC and most of the associated behavioral changes were abrogated by succinyl phosphonate. The antagonistic action of hypoxia and succinyl phosphonate demonstrates potential therapeutic significance of the OGDHC regulation by the phosphonate analogs of 2-oxoglutarate

Microstructural evolution of layered K-doped RuCl₃ during annealing traced by thermogravimetric analysis and 3D electron diffraction

Nanoscale phase separation was induced in the K-doped RuCl3 van der Waals material by annealing, and studied with the goal to find a natural design strategy for the formation of two-dimensional architectures as an alternative to the costly and time-consuming experimental artificial growth methods. Phase conversion was traced by means of thermogravimetric analysis combined with mass spectrometry. The local crystal structure of co-existing K3Ru2Cl9 domains with the sizes of about 100 nm was solved by 3D electron diffraction.</p
