    Assessment of Economic Effectiveness of Competing IT-projects: Approaches and Mathematical Tools

    Evaluation of the effectiveness of the implementation and development of information systems and information technology is one of the challenging tasks in managing it projects. However, we also know that it affect the success of the company, but they also require large investments and carry significant risks. Therefore, the decision to select the automation of business processes should be after in-depth analysis with mathematical tools. The purpose of this work is to show the possibility of expanding the mathematical apparatus of analysis of it projects that require significant investment. The article presents examples of results of expert opinion for estimation of expected cash flows, considering the risks when investing in competing projects, based on the methods of mathematical statistics. Describes the conditions of the solution of a multicriteria problem of choice of one it project of the alternatives, based on economic sense of indicators of risk. The rationale for the use of different methods when comparing projects of different durations (chain of repetition, equivalent annuity, etc.). The introduction of new information systems affects the quality indicators of the business, including improving productivity, reducing errors in performing the tasks, and thereby improving financial results. Selected mathematical methods will allow for different stages of decision-making to provide comprehensive and scientifically-based analysis of project performance and objectivity of the decisions made by the IT-manager

    Intensifi cation of agricultural production increases the burden on the environment. Modern management and planning of agricultural activity requires a comprehensive assessment of the environmental status of the industry. (Research purpose) To develop recommendations for improving the environmental safety of agricultural production based on the implementation of the best available technologies, methods for monitoring and controlling technological processes for the disposal of organic animal waste. (Materials and methods) The authors studied agricultural enterprises, their specialization and production capacities, technologies for manure and litter utilization. The studies included an assessment of enterprises according to the criteria approved in the recommendations of Helsinki Commission for the Baltic Sea. The authors used standard methods for processing statistical, fi eld and personal data. (Results and discussion) The authors conducted a state analysis of the agro-industrial complex of Leningrad Region in terms of the organic waste formation from animal husbandry and poultry farming, and evaluated the potential for their use. They studied 142 large complexes, which produce more than 90 percent of livestock and poultry products. The average livestock density in Leningrad Region is 2.2 conventional heads per hectare of cultivated agricultural land. They showed that there are 22,200 households in southern Finland, 79 percent of which are plant growing enterprises that are engaged in small-scale production. They took into account the specifi c features of the studied territories in terms of nutrient load and proposed a system of environmental impact regulation. (Conclusions) The authors developed 4 main recommendation sections to reduce the risks of biogenic environmental pollution: the development of an industrial environmental control system based on technological regulations; mastering the system of regional monitoring and coordination of work with organic fertilizers; adoption and implementation of a program of livestock enterprises technological and technical modernization in terms of the organic waste disposal; creation of demonstration platforms for environmental specialists advanced training in the implementation of modern technological solutions.Интенсификация аграрного производства увеличивает нагрузку на окружающую среду. Современное управление и планирование сельскохозяйственной деятельности требует комплексной оценки экологического состояния отрасли. (Цель исследования) Разработать рекомендации для повышения экологической безопасности сельхозпроизводства на основе внедрения наилучших доступных технологий, методов мониторинга и управления технологическими процессами утилизации органических отходов животноводства. (Материалы и методы) Изучили сельскохозяйственные предприятия, их специализацию и производственные мощности, технологии утилизации навоза и помета. Включили в исследования оценку предприятий по критериям, утвержденным в рекомендациях Хельсинской комиссии по Балтийскому морю. Применили стандартные методы обработки статистических, натурных и анкетных данных. (Результаты и обсуждение) Провели анализ состояния агропромышленного комплекса Ленинградской области в части образования органических отходов животноводства и птицеводства, оценили потенциал их использования. Исследовали 142 крупных комплекса, на которых производится более 90 процентов продукции животноводства и птицеводства. Средняя плотность поголовья животных в Ленинградской области составляет 2,2 условной головы на один гектар обрабатываемых сельскохозяйственных земель. Показали, что в Южной Финляндии насчитывается 22200 хозяйств, из них 79 процентов – растениеводческие, которые занимаются мелкотоварным производством. Учли особенности исследуемых территорий по биогенной нагрузке и предложили систему регулирования воздействия на окружающую среду (Выводы) Разработали 4 основных раздела рекомендаций по снижению рисков биогенного загрязнения окружающей среды: освоение системы производственного экологического контроля на основе технологических регламентов; освоение системы регионального мониторинга и координации работы с органическими удобрениями; принятие и выполнение программы технологической и технической модернизации животноводческих предприятий в части утилизации органических отходов; создание демонстрационных площадок для повышения квалификации специалистов по экологическим вопросам внедрения современных технологических решений

    Comparison of the effects of liraglutide and sibutramine in obese patients

    Background: Obesity is a global noncommunicable pandemic. The low effectiveness of treating obesity is associated with the difficulty of maintaining weight loss due to the reaction of the appetite regulation system. Drugs with central mechanisms of action can help overcome this problem.Aim: The aim of our study was to compare the effects of liraglutide and sibutramine (Reduxin) on the dynamics of weight and cardiometabolic parameters in obese patients without cardiovascular diseases.Materials and methods: We estimated the dynamics of the main metabolic parameters (BMI, glucose, lipid metabolism, blood pressure), the level of hormones involved in the regulation of fat metabolism (leptin, adiponectin, insulin), the ­HOMA-IR index, markers of oxidative stress and inflammation during therapy with liraglutide in comparison with reduxin for 6 months in obese patients.Results: 64 obese patients were included in the study: 25 patients — in the “Liraglutide” group, 39 patients — in the “Sibutramine” group in accordance with the declared inclusion / exclusion criteria. The included patients were young, average body mass index (BMI) (37.92 ± 5.45 kg / m2), average glycemic level was 5.47 ± 0.81 mmol /l, HOMA-IR was 6.01 ± 4.25, blood pressure was at inclusion was within the normal range, but 21.8% of patients received antihypertensive therapy.Both treatment options provided a comparable decrease in body weight (-10.28% vs -9.47%, p = 0.13)., Leptin level (-32.12% vs -41.77%, p = 0.77) and myeloperoxidase (-33.33% vs -19.91%, p = 0.2). The blood pressure level did not change significantly on liraglutide, while on reduxin the level of diastolic blood pressure (dBP) increased significantly (6.87%, p = 0.006). There was a more pronounced decrease in insulin levels compared to the baseline level (-46%, p = 0.005), as well as a decrease in the HOMA-IR index (-50.08, p = 0.005) on liraglutide therapy.An increase in adiponectin levels (+ 45.36% vs 14.01%, p = 0.0045) and a decrease in low density lipoprotein(LDL) cholesterol were significantly more pronounced on reduxin therapy (-15.03% vs -9.4%, p = 0.006).36% of the participants completed their participation in the study ahead of schedule due to the lack of effect in the form of weight loss in the «Liraglutide» group. Side effects in the “Liraglutide” group were observed in 16% of patients. 48% of patients took part in the study within 6 months. In the «Sibutramine» group 33.4% of patients completed the study ahead of schedule for reasons unrelated to the drug intake, the side effects were observed in 20.5% of patients. 46.1% of participants in the «Sibutramine» group received therapy for 6 months.Conclusions: This study confirms the previous findings that both liraglutide and reduxin therapy provide effective weight loss. We found a positive trend in markers of inflammation, atherogenesis and oxidative stress, and leptin levels. Liraglutide therapy was accompanied by a more pronounced effect on the state of carbohydrate metabolism, and reduxin therapy provided a more pronounced dynamics of lipid disorders and adiponexin. Both groups were characterized by a rather low adherence to therapy, but the incidence of side effects requiring stopping therapy was higher in the Sibutramine group

    Simulation of Probabilistic Evolution of Brugmansia Asteroid Family with the Yarkovsky Effect

    Исследована динамическая эволюция молодого семейства Brugmansia, включающего в себя 4 астероида: (16598) Brugmansia, (190603) 2000 UV80, (218697) 2005 TT99 и 2006 SK443. При моделировании вероятностной эволюции астероидов учитывались ошибки определения орбит и влияние эффекта Ярковского. Рассмотрено три сценария эволюции семейства при различных значениях негравитационного ускорения, обусловленного влиянием эффекта Ярковского. Для каждой пары астероидов внутри семейства получены оценки возраста на основе анализа низскоскоростных сближений астероидов и минимальных значений метрики Холшевникова.Currently four members of the Brugmansia asteroid family are known: (16 598) Brugmansia, (190603) 2000 UV80, (218697) 2005 TT99, and 2006 SK443. We carried out a research of the probabilistic evolution of this asteroids, taking into account the Yarkovsky effect. We considered three scenarios of family evolution for different values of non-gravitational acceleration due to the Yarkovsky effect.     Верификация автоматных программ с использованием LTL

    In the paper one of approaches to modelling, specification and verification of automaton programs are considered. The automata programming technology is effective enough in design and verification (the analysis of correctness) software for reactive and controlling systems. This technology, besides other methods of software construction "without errors", is much more constructive, as it allows to begin "struggling against errors" at the algorithmization stage. However, in spite of the fact that the idea of automata programming is directed on the construction of reliable programs, the problem of the program correctness analysis still remains actual. From the point of view of modelling and analysing program systems the automata approach to programming has a number of advantages in comparison with the traditional approach. When constructing a model for a program written in the traditional style, there is a serious problem of the adequacy of this program model to the initial program. The model can be unable to take into account a number of program properties or can generate nonexisting properties. Under the automata programming such a problem is excluded, as a collection of communicating automata, describing the logic of the program, is already an adequate program model. This fact is an indisputable advantage of the automata technology. Moreover, the model has a finite set of states, that is, in practice, a necessary condition for successful automatic verification by the model checking method. Besides, properties of automata programs are naturally and clearly formulated and specified. These properties obviously correspond with communicating automata representing the logic of an automata program. The practical result of the work is an application of the tool SPIN and the temporal logic LTL for specification and verification of hierarchical automaton programs.Рассматривается один из способов моделирования, спецификации и верификации программ, построенных на основе автоматного подхода к программированию. Технология автоматного программирования является достаточно эффективной при создании программного обеспечения для «реактивных» систем и систем логического управления. С точки зрения моделирования и анализа программных систем эта технология имеет ряд преимуществ по сравнению с традиционным подходом, так как исключает проблему адекватности построенной программной модели исходной программе. Набор взаимодействующих автоматов, описывающий логику программы, уже является адекватной моделью, по которой формальным образом строится программный модуль. Свойства программной системы в виде автоматов могут быть сформулированы и специфицированы естественным и понятным образом. Проверка свойств осуществляется в терминах, которые естественно вытекают из автоматной модели программы. Практическим результатом работы является применение инструментального средства SPIN и логики LTL для спецификации и верификации иерархических автоматных программ

    Investigation of the dynamic evolution of Hobson asteroid family

    Обнаружено 11 новых членов семейства астероидов Hobson: (537249) 2015 HM190, 2007 EH116, 2007 HC54, 2008 WV149, 2010 GN203, 2011 SU302, 2015 FV225, 2015 HV138, 2015 OP104, 2015 PM156, 2019 PS30. Для всех астероидов семейства получены оценки скорости дрейфа большой полуоси, обусловленные эффектом Ярковского, радиусов сфер Хилла и вторых космических скоростей. Проведено моделирование динамической эволюции астероидов с учетом эффекта Ярковского. Получены оценки возраста пар астероидов, входящих в семейство, на основе результатов моделирования. Возраст семейства астероидов Hobson составляет около 400 тыс. лет.We have found 11 new members of the Hobson asteroids family: (537249) 2015 HM190, 2007 EH116, 2007 HC54, 2008 WV149, 2010 GN203, 2011 SU302, 2015 FV225, 2015 HV138, 2015 OP104, 2015 PM156, 2019 PS30. We estimated the Yarkovsky semimajor axis drift rate, the Hill sphere’s radii, and the escape velocity for all asteroids of the family. Simulation of the dynamic evolution of asteroids with allowance for the Yarkovsky effect has been carried out. Based on the simulation results, estimates of the asteroid pairs’ age included in the amily are obtained. Обнаружено 8 новых членов семейства астероидов Emilkowalski, 6 новых членов семейства астероидов Nicandra и 19 новых членов семейства астероидов Schulhof.We searched for new members of three young asteroid families by calculating the Kholshevnikov metrics.
