Commodity and Financial Networks in Regional Economics

The article discusses the relationship between commodity-production and financial network structures in the regional economy as dual conjugate systems. Material flows (raw materials, goods and so on) circulate in the commodity network as shown by Leontiev’s input-output balance model. Nonmaterial flows of property rights, money, and so on circulate in the financial network and reflect the movement of material objects in commodity networks. A network structure comprises closed and open circuits, which have fundamentally different characteristics: locally closed circuits meet local demand by supplying locally produced goods, thus ensuring self-reproduction of the local economy; open (or transit) circuits provide export-import flows. The article describes the mechanism of ‘internal’ money generation in closed circuits of commodity-production networks. The results of the theoretical study are illustrated by the calculations of closed and open circuit flows in the municipal economy model. Mutual settlements between the population and manufacturing enterprises are given in matrix form. It was found that the volume of the turnover in closed circuits of the municipal economic network model is about 28.5 % of the total turnover and can be provided by ‘internal’ non-inflationary money. The remaining 71.5 % of the total turnover correspond to the flows in the network’s open circuits providing export and import. The conclusion is made that in the innovation-driven economy, main attention should be given to the projects oriented towards domestic consumption rather than export supplies. The economy is based on internal production cycles in closed circuits. Thus, it is necessary to find the chains in the inter-industrial and inter-production relations which could become the basis of the production cycle. Money investments will complete such commodity chains and ‘launch’ the production cycle. The work has been prepared with the supprot of the Ural Federal University within the UrFU Program for the winners of the competition “Young Scientists of UrFU” No. 2.1.1.1-14/43

The influence of liquid on the deformation behavior of human dentin

The influence of liquid on the mechanical properties of human dentin under uniaxial compression is studied in this work. It has been shown that the storage of samples for 24 h in water, acetone, and glycerin does not lead to a change in the microstructure or to qualitative changes in the mechanical behavior of dentin, which continues to be highly elastic; capable of considerable plastic deformation; and a strong, hard tissue. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd

COMPARISON RESEARCH OF THE ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF RAW COCOA BEANS AND PROCESSED COCOA POWDER FROM DIFFERENT MANUFACTURING COMPANIES IN GHANA

The total content of polyphenols in cocoa powder was determined in the equivalent of tannic acid per gram of dry weight of the cocoa powder sample. The ABTS and DPPH free radical scavenging activity of cocoa powder extracts were evaluated in comparison with vitamin C.We would like to thank Dr Kabotso Elorm senior lecturer of the University of Health and Allied Sciences for his contribution to this research

The purpose of the article is to develop the optimal model of development of modern entrepreneurship in Russia from the point of view of the processes of competition and cooperation. The foundation of the methodological apparatus of this research is the method of scenario analysis, which is performed with the help of the tools of the Theory of games. The authors offer classification of existing market structures in the spheres of economy as to the criterion of ratio of processes of competition and cooperation and develop the proprietary methodology for evaluation of effectiveness of the model of national economy development from the point of view of the processes of competition and cooperation. Because of the research, it is concluded that the offered hypothesis is true, and it is impossible to apply the straightforward approach to creation of market structures in economic spheres of modern Russia due to its ineffectiveness in the modern economic conditions, subject to the influence of the processes of globalization, integration, post-industrialization, liberalization, etc. The authors analyze the possible scenarios of development of modern entrepreneurship in Russia through the prism of competitive and cooperative processes.peer-reviewe

Institutions of regional development in the infrastructure support of the regional economy

The article examines the role of regional development institutions in the infrastructure support of the socio-economic development of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Changes are revealed at the meso-economic level that are possible in the post-industrial development of the economy of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. As a result of the study, it was concluded that 48 percent of the total funds available from regional development institutions accounted for the five leading regions: the Republic of Tatarstan, Moscow and Moscow Regions, Lipetsk, Kaluga Regions and St. Petersburg. By the share of gross regional product (GRP), the list of regions was headed by the Kaluga and Lipetsk regions, which is explained by the large volumes of investments attracted through development institutions and the relatively small size of the regional product and the population of these regions. The authors summarize the experience of managing regional development institutions, conclude that it is necessary to increase the degree of influence on the development of the economic and social infrastructure of the regions of the Russian Federation as a whole, as well as to eliminate regional imbalances in development. The main directions in the implementation of this approach are: Creation of an organizational mechanism for the formation of management structures to coordinate socio-economic development (for example, project administrations) on the territory of several constituent entities of the Russian Federation or several municipal entities within the framework of one constituent entity of the Federation. Development of financial mechanisms to support the activities of these inter-regional and inter-municipal administrations (hereinafter referred to as project administrations). Improving the mechanisms of interaction between state and municipal authorities, public organizations and other civil society institutions and business structures operating in the territory of several constituent entities of the Russian Federation and / or municipalities

English Tag Question as Linguo-Ecological Phenomenon of Interpersonal Communication

    Get PDF
The article considers the functional properties of English tag questions from the perspective of a relatively new linguistic paradigm - linguistic ecology. The novelty of the research is seen in the fact that up to now these syntactic units have not received proper coverage in the linguo-ecological key. Tag questions in the discursive segments selected from the English corpus of modern fiction and film discourse were the material for the analysis. The authors present a tag question with its pre-defined and discursive meanings as a stereotypical linguistic model, designed to support the harmony of speech communication of representatives of the English linguistic culture. During the discourse analysis the following characteristics of linguoecological compatability of a tag question were highlighted: non-categoricalness, tolerance, addressee centricity, empathy, mitigation. Particular attention is paid to the strategies of communicative defocusing and hedging, adequate operation of which is the key to reducing communication risks and achieving harmonious communication. By examples of various structural and pragmatic types of tag questions, the role of assertive-evaluative, modus, deictic, directive and emotive mitigation is shown in maintaining ecological mode of communication. It is concluded that the basis of tag question ecological functioning is the syncretism of the dominant features of the English communicative style - distancing, indirectness, non-categoricalness, mitigation of directive intentions and emotive de-intensification

Compounds FexTi2S4 (1 ≤ x ≤ 1.5) were obtained and studied by means of X-ray diffrac-tion, magnetization and magnetoresistance measurements. The results are discussed under the assumption that the mixing of Fe and Ti plays a significant role in changing the properties with increasing iron content. The work has been supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation under project FEUZ-2020-0054
