    Pengaruh Sterilan Terhadap Tingkat Kontaminasi Pada Kultur Petiol Dan Midrib Daun Tanaman Karet (Hevea Brasiliensis Muell Arg.) Klon Pb 330

    Kultur jaringan merupakan salah satu teknik perbanyakan tanaman yang perlu terus dikembangkan untuk tanaman karet klonal (Hevea Brasiliensis Muell Arg.). Permasalahan yang masih harus diatasi adalah tingginya tingkat kontaminasi pada fase tanam. Kontaminasi terutama diakibatkan oleh banyaknya fungi dan bakteri yang menyelimuti baik di permukaan maupun di dalam sistem jaringan eksplan, yang biasanya berasal dari lapangan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mencari metode paling efektif dalam mengurangi tingkat kontaminasi pada kultur in vitro eksplan petiol dan midrib daun klon karet PB 330 melalui perlakuan pra sterilisasi, sterilisasi dan kombinasinya menggunakan fungisida Dythane M-45, NaClO 5,25% dan HgCl2 0,2%. Eksplan ditanam pada media MS+2,4-D (Dicholophenoxy aceticacid) 5 ppm sebanyak 10 botol sebagai ulangan, masing-masing 2 eksplan/botol. Pengamatan meliputi persentase kontaminasi dan kematian eksplan hingga 14 hari setelah tanam (HST). Data dianalisis dengan analisis ragam dari rancangan faktorial dan diuji lanjut dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan (UJBD) untuk data yang berbeda nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan kontaminasi pada eksplan midrib efektif dengan perlakuan pra sterilisasi dengan perendaman fungisida selama 30 atau 60 menit dikombinasikan dengan perlakukan sterilisasi dengan perendaman dalam alkohol 70% dan NaClO 5,25% selama 3 menit. Perlakuan tersebut menghasilkan tingkat kontaminasi sebesar 21,33% dan 21,67%. Kontaminasi pada eksplan asal petiol dapat ditekan hingga 33% dengan perlakuan pra sterilisasi yaitu perendaman fungisida 24 jam dikombinasikan perlakukan sterilisasi dengan perendaman dalam alkohol 70%, lalu NaClO 5,25%, dan HgCl2 0,2% masing-masing selama 3 menit

    Raw materials are a significant requirement in the production process for manufacturing companies. In meeting the needs of raw materials for the production process, most manufacturing firms rely on suppliers. Supplier selection is an essential part of manufacturing companies. From several supplier selection criteria, quality is one of the fundamental standards and is used in supplier assessment. Selecting suppliers based on the quality of their products will have a positive impact on manufacturing companies, such as increased profits through reduced operational costs and increased market share. The problem faced is the lack of accuracy in choosing qualified suppliers. In this study will compare two suppliers at manufacturing companies and pick one that has a higher capability value. Supplier selection is made by using multiple characteristic capability indexes. The Supplier will be selected by comparing the ratio of two suppliers. Numerical calculations are performed on leather suppliers in shoe companies based on bursting quality, tear strength, tensile strength and elongation. The result of the calculation can be seen that supplier B is chosen as a better supplier. Characteristics of quality will affect the production process and application of shoes

    : This study aims to know what is age, education, earnings, number of family dependents, expense of visit, visit frequency influence willingness to pay in the effort repair of environmental quality of tourism village in Sleman regency after Merapi eruption. This study is done in Sleman regency, Province Special Region of Yogyakarta. This study uses primary data with interview method to the 150 responders. The enu­meration estimate of expense that ready society to pay for the repair of environmental quality is done with approach of contingent assessment method (Contingent Valuation Method) to the Srowolan tourism village, the Brayut tourism village, the Kelor tourism village, the Kembang­arum tourism village and Pentingsari tourism village. The analysis of the study is multiple linear regression.     Robot swarm democracy: the importance of informed individuals against zealots

    Abstract: In this paper we study a generalized case of best-of-n model, which considers three kind of agents: zealots, individuals who remain stubborn and do not change their opinion; informed agents, individuals that can change their opinion, are able to assess the quality of the different options; and uninformed agents, individuals that can change their opinion but are not able to assess the quality of the different opinions. We study the consensus in different regimes: we vary the quality of the options, the percentage of zealots and the percentage of informed versus uninformed agents. We also consider two decision mechanisms: the voter and majority rule. We study this problem using numerical simulations and mathematical models, and we validate our findings on physical kilobot experiments. We find that (1) if the number of zealots for the lowest quality option is not too high, the decision-making process is driven toward the highest quality option; (2) this effect can be improved increasing the number of informed agents that can counteract the effect of adverse zealots; (3) when the two options have very similar qualities, in order to keep high consensus to the best quality it is necessary to have higher proportions of informed agents

    The Characteristic of Soils with Andic Properties Derived From Acid Pyroclastic Materials in Toba High Land

    Soil with andic properties are generally found in Indonesian volcanic high land. To characterize the andic soils, six pedons derived from pyroclastic rock from Toba high land were studied. Properties of the andic soils from Toba high land were somewhat different from others andic soils in Indonesia. Results of chemical and mineralogical data interpretation showed that the andic soils from Toba were derived from acid pyroclastic rock. This indicate that andic soils in Indonesia not only derived fromintermediate to basic volcanic rock, but also from acid rock. The main problem of andic soils is in their high P retention. In the study area the P retention range between 34-95%, the soils are acid to very acid (pH 5.5-4.1), poor of nutrients, and some of them have very high Al saturation (>60%). Increasing exchangeable Al occur at pH 4 to 5, while the high Al saturation occur at concentration of exchangeable Al between 0.5 to 3cmolc kg-1. High value of P retention was caused by high content of amorphous materials, indicate by positive relationships between P retention and Al + ½Fe extracted by ammonium oxalate (R2 = 0,88). Clay mineral identification is needed to distinguis between amorphous and crystallin minerals that can be used as a basic of better soil management

    Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Penentuan Mahasiswa Berprestasi Menggunakan Metode Promethee (Studi Kasus Politeknik Negeri Malang)

    Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestaasi merupakan salah satu program Dirjen Dikti yang berguna untuk memilih mahasiswa  terbaik  dari  suatu  perguruan  tinggi.  Mahasiswa  yang  ikut  serta  dalam  Program  Mahasiswa Berprestasi harus memenuhi beberapa kriteria akademis dan kriteria non akademis. Kriteria akademis meliputi Indeks  Prestasi  Kumulatif,  kemampuan  berbahasa  dan  kriteria  non  –  akademis  yang  meliputi  kepribadian, kemampuan berkomunikasi dan kriteria lainnya. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode  promethee  untuk mengurutkan nilai dari beberapa kriteria. Metode ini mampu mengurutkan nilai dari gabungan kriteria kuantitatif seperti jumlah absensi dan kriteria kualitatif seperti nilai IPK, nilai karya tulis, penilaian prestasi, dan kemampuan dalam berbahasa inggris. Kriteria dengan kaidah minimum  seperti  jumlah  absensi  dan  kriteria  dengan  kaidah  maximum  seperti  nilai  IPK,  nilai  karya  tulis, penilaian prestasi, dan kemampuan dalam berbahasa inggris.
