The Effect of Communicative Language Teaching on Students' Speaking Skill

The aims of this research were to find out whether there are good response and improvement of students' speaking skill between before and after being taught through Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). The samples of this research were the VIII A and VIII B class of the Eighth Grade of SMP Negeri 21 Tangerang in academic year 2015/2016. The researcher used non-equivalent control group design. The instrument was oral test. The result of the research showed that there was improvement of the students' speaking skill in actively communicative by using CLT. The result of t-test showed that t was bigger than ttable. The result of tcount was 4.2105 and ttable was 2.0021. It means that the researcher's hypothesis (H1), there is significant difference of post-test scores between experiment class and control class is accepted. The average score of pre-test in experiment class is 67.33 while the average score of pre-test in control class is 66.50. The average of the post-test score in experiment class was 83.00 while the average of the post-test score in control class was 75.00. It showed that CLT can improve the students' speaking skill

Implementation of program ekonomi kerakyatan in fisheries Kabupaten Kampar 2011-2013, the providence of rolling fund in Desa Koto Mesjid encounter some problem, one of them is the process of fund return of the rolling fund that is not coherse with the villagers expectation. The goal of the spirit of implementation of program ekonomi kerakyatan that point to Tri Sukses that is, success in the distribution, success in the achievement, and success in the return. This is the reason that i become interested to study in my research. The main problem in my research is why the implementation of program ekonomi kerakyatan in fisheries, providence of the rolling fund in Desa Koto Mesjid Kecamatan XIII Koto Kampar still not implemented effectively. The goal of this research is to understand the process mechanism of the implementation of the program ekonomi kerakyatan in fisheries Kabupaten Kampar 2011-2013, providence of rolling fund in Desa Koto Mesjid, and than to analize the implementation of program ekonomi kerakyatan in fisheries, and than study about the obstacle in the implementation. This research is done in Desa Koto Mesjid Kecamatan XIII Koto Kampar Kabupaten Kampar. This research is using quantitative research metode with descriptive metode in collecting data. Researcher using the method of interview, observation, and dokumentation with a key informan as the main resource of information and using multiple question to the informan with observing the fenomenon that exist in the legality of the datas.Based in the research that is concluded that the process of the implementation and the obstacle in program ekonomi kerakyatan in fisheries Kabupaten kampar 2011-2013, providence of the rolling fund is not implemented efectively and not coherse with the guide provided in Peraturan Bupati Nomor 7 Tahun 2013 about the guide of the implementation of the rolling fund program ekonomi kerakyatan kabupaten kampar. Keywords : Program Ekonomi Kerakyatan, Providence of the rolling fund, Fisheries Agency Kabupaten Kampar

Contiguous redshift parameterizations of the growth index

The growth rate of matter perturbations can be used to distinguish between different gravity theories and to distinguish between dark energy and modified gravity at cosmological scales as an explanation to the observed cosmic acceleration. We suggest here parameterizations of the growth index as functions of the redshift. The first one is given by γ(a)=γ~(a)11+(attc/a)+γearly11+(a/attc)\gamma(a)=\tilde\gamma(a) \frac{1}{1+(a_{_{ttc}}/a)}+\gamma_{_{early}} \frac{1}{1+(a/a_{_{ttc}})} that interpolates between a low/intermediate redshift parameterization γ~(a)=γlate(a)=γ0+(1a)γa\tilde\gamma(a)=\gamma_{_{late}}(a)= \gamma_0 + (1-a) \gamma_a and a high redshift γearly\gamma_{_{early}} constant value. For example, our interpolated form γ(a)\gamma(a) can be used when including the CMB to the rest of the data while the form γlate(a)\gamma_{_{late}}(a) can be used otherwise. It is found that the parameterizations proposed achieve a fit that is better than 0.004% for the growth rate in a Λ\LambdaCDM model, better than 0.014% for Quintessence-Cold-Dark-Matter (QCDM) models, and better than 0.04% for the flat Dvali-Gabadadze-Porrati (DGP) model (with Ωm0=0.27\Omega_m^0=0.27) for the entire redshift range up to zCMBz_{_{CMB}}. We find that the growth index parameters (γ0,γa)(\gamma_0,\gamma_a) take distinctive values for dark energy models and modified gravity models, e.g. (0.5655,0.02718)(0.5655,-0.02718) for the Λ\LambdaCDM model and (0.6418,0.06261)(0.6418,0.06261) for the flat DGP model. This provides a means for future observational data to distinguish between the models.Comment: 7 pages, 6 figures, matches PRD accepted versio

FISHING SKILL IN DEVELOPING COUNTRY FISHERIES: THE KEDAH, MALAYSIA TRAWL FISHERY

    Get PDF
Fishing skill is perceived to play a crucial role in catching fish. The question arises for fishery managers as to whether or not there are observable and measurable attributes of the skipper or vessel that can be monitored and regulated to account for skipper skill and, hence, this source of fishing capacity. Equating technical efficiency with skipper skill, this paper evaluates technical efficiency and skipper skill in the Kedah, Malaysia, trawl fishery to address this issue.Resource /Energy Economics and Policy,

Assessment of uptake of readily available plant micronutrients from soils amended with coal fly ash

    Get PDF
A greenhouse experiment was conducted on two soils of different texture, Tebuk sandy clay and sandy mine tailings. They were treated with different rates of coal fly ash (0, 10, 20, 40, 80 and 160 Mg ha-1) and the uptake of B, Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn by spinach grown in these soils were determined at six weeks growth The experimental set-up hosen for this study was a factorial 2 (different soil textures) X 6 (six rates of fly ash application) arranged in completely randomized design with 4 replications. Application of fly ash increased the pH and EC of the soils Tissue uptake of B, Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn and plant dry matter weight were influenced by fly ash application rates and soil texture type. Boron uptake increased while Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn uptake decreased with increases in addition of fly ash to the soils The highest spinach dry weight was obtained with the application of 20 Mg ha-1 for the Tebuk soil and 40 Mg ha-1 for the sandy mine tailings

Stability of Transparent Spherically Symmetric Thin Shells and Wormholes

    Get PDF
The stability of transparent spherically symmetric thin shells (and wormholes) to linearized spherically symmetric perturbations about static equilibrium is examined. This work generalizes and systematizes previous studies and explores the consequences of including the cosmological constant. The approach shows how the existence (or not) of a domain wall dominates the landscape of possible equilibrium configurations.Comment: 12 pages, 7 figures, revtex. Final form to appear in Phys. Rev.

We analyse strong lensing in the Einstein-Straus solution with positive cosmological constant. For concreteness we compare the theory to the light deflection of the lensed quasar SDSS J1004+4112.Comment: 14 pages, 3 figures, 5 tables.
