Suppression of the optical linewidth and spin decoherence of a quantum spin center in a pp−-nn diode

We present a quantitative theory of the suppression of the optical linewidth due to charge fluctuation noise in a ${p}$$-$${n}$ diode, recently observed in Anderson et al., Science 366, 1225 (2019). We connect the local electric field with the voltage across the diode, allowing for the identification of the defect depth from the experimental threshold voltage. Furthermore, we show that an accurate description of the decoherence of such spin centers requires a complete spin$-$1 formalism that yields a bi-exponential decoherence process, and predict how reduced charge fluctuation noise suppresses the spin center's decoherence rate.Comment: 17 pages, 9 figure

Brazilian economy and real estate: a synthesis of the last decades

Como desdobramento da pesquisa realizada para obtenção do título de mestre por um dos autores, ambos os autores discorrem nesse artigo sobre os principais eventos econômicos e marcos regulatórios que ocorreram nas últimas décadas no Brasil e em São Paulo e o desenvolvimento do mercado imobiliário face a esses acontecimentos.A partir da criação do Banco Nacional da Habitação, na década de 1960, até o recente êxito produtivo do Programa Minha Casa, Minha Vida; considerando, nesse ínterim, eventos econômicos nacionais e políticas federais e municipais (na cidade de São Paulo), esses acontecimentos são sintetizados em ordem cronológica, com o intuito de ressaltar a importância da economia sobre a produção urbana residencial, particularmente a realizada pela iniciativa privada.As a result of the research carried out to obtaining the title of master by one of the authors, both the authors comment in this article on the major economic events and regulatory systems, which occurred in recent decades paragraph Brazil and Sao Paulo, and the development of the real estate, in the face of these events.From the creation of the Bank National Housing (BNH), in the 1960s, to the recent production success of  Program My House, My Life (PMHML); whereas in the interim, economic events national and federal and municipal policies (in the city of Sao Paulo), these events are summarized in chronological order, in order to highlight the importance of the economy on residential urban production, particularly carried out by private initiative. 

Opportunities for long-range magnon-mediated entanglement of spin qubits via on- and off-resonant coupling

The ability to manipulate entanglement between multiple spatially-separated qubits is essential for quantum information processing. Although nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamond provide a promising qubit platform, developing scalable two-qubit gates remains a well-known challenge. To this end, magnon-mediated entanglement proposals have attracted attention due to their long-range spin-coherent propagation. Optimal device geometries and gate protocols of such schemes, however, have yet to be determined. Here we predict strong long-distance ($>\mu$m) NV-NV coupling via magnon modes with cooperativities exceeding unity in ferromagnetic bar and waveguide structures. Moreover, we explore and compare on-resonant transduction and off-resonant virtual-magnon exchange protocols, and discuss their suitability for generating or manipulating entangled states at low temperatures ($T\lesssim 150$ mK) under realistic experimental conditions. A presente pesquisa procura analisar de forma crítica o processo de expansão dos mecanismos processuais negociais dentro da justiça criminal brasileira. Para tanto, o artigo busca realizar uma análise do instituto jurídico da plea bargaining, também conhecido como instituto da barganha, e a sua relação com o Projeto de Lei Anticrime proposto pelo Ministro da Justiça Sérgio Moro. Assim, considerando-se a origem, a história e o desenvolvimento do instituto supramencionado, procura-se apontar a viabilidade jurídica de sua aplicação no ordenamento pátrio. Por fim, busca-se compreender como as propostas inseridas no Projeto de Lei Anticrime, claramente movidas por um ideal punitivista, poderiam representar uma violação ao art. 5º, inciso LXI, da Constituição Federal
