    Studies of pomegranate peel (Punica granatum L.), which contain ellagic acid, suggest its ability to increase osteoblast, calcium, and phosphorus in ovariectomized rats. The effects of the pomegranate peel extracts on postmenopausal women was not known. This study was aimed to evaluate the effect of pomegranate peel ethanol extract capsules in the modulation of bone formation and bone quality markers in postmenopausal women. This study is a pilot study of 1st phase of clinical trial using parallel, randomized, double-blind, and placebo controlled design, with 30 subjects. Subjects were randomized to receive commercial capsules of pomegranate peel ethanol extract 2 × 1100 mg/ day or placebo, for 8 weeks. Levels of osteocalcin, calcium, and phosphorus were examined before and after treatment. This study showed that administration of the capsules in postmenopausal women tends to reduce blood osteocalcin level (4,129±5,66 ng/mL on placebo group versus 1,79±5,04 ng/mL on punica group, p=0,245), has not significant on blood calcium level (9,13±0,36 mg/dL placebo group versus 9,21±0,39 mg/dL punica group, p=0,379), has not significant on blood phosphorus level (3,93±0,38 mg/dL placebo group versus 4,12±0,41 mg/dL on punica group, p=0,138), does not affect the function of liver and kidney, and was well tolerated. In conclusion, the commercial capsules is safe, potentially reduce marker of bone formation serum level,and increase bone quality on postmenopausal women

    Kegiatan bermain di rumah dapat menjadi kegiatan yang menyenangkan bagi anak dimana mereka dapat bergerak bebas serta menggunakan ragam media yang tersedia di rumah sehingga perkembangan anak dapat berkembang lebih optimal. Penelitian kualitatif menjadi metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk meneliti pada kondisi obyek yang alamiah, dimana peneliti sebagai instrument kunci, dan hasil penelitin kualitatif lebih menekankan makna dari pada generalisasi. Pendekatan ini digunakan agar dapat dipaparkan upaya pendampingan orang tua terhadap anak dalam menggunakan media digital secara mendalam. Kegiatan ini dirancang untuk mengukur keberhasilan pemateri agar dapat melaksanakannya. Keahlian serta pengetahuan dasar yang sudah dimiliki oleh anak akan terus berkembang ketika mereka mendapatkan ruang berekspresi, menjelajah dengan bebas dengan bantuan orang tua sebagai pengamat yang baik. Keterlibatan orang tua dalam pengontrolan penggunaan gadget anak juga sangat dibutuhkan, baik dalam bentuk motivasi, kasih sayang, maupun tanggung jawab. Para orang tua harus lebih berhati-hati terhadap resiko yang diakibatkan dari pemakaian gadget yang berlebihan.     The Effects of Regulatory Performance on the Debt–Growth Relationship: Cases of Upper-Middle-Income Economies

    Upper-middle-income economies (UMIE) are experiencing an economic slowdown, partly due to weak regulatory performance. This issue leads to slow growth in private sector participation, thus limiting the ability to achieve higher economic growth. At this critical point, the government’s role is to inject funds into economies, hoping that growth can be increased and sustained for an extended period. Nevertheless, injecting more funds through borrowings from external debt exposes economies to vulnerable conditions. Thus, this study aimed to examine how regulatory performance affects economic growth and moderates the debt–growth relationship in UMIE. By using the generalized method of moments (GMM) as an estimation method for 32 countries from 2004 to 2020, regulatory performance was found to adversely affect economic growth. Moreover, as regulatory performance improves, public debt is expected to enhance the economic growth of UMIE. These findings are novel, as they provide significant evidence for the importance of improving the regulatory performance of UMIE. Weak regulatory performance might force a government to become the engine of growth instead of the private sector, thus leading to the adverse effect of debt on growth in UMIE. These findings have to several policy implications, particularly regarding reducing bureaucracy and improving regulatory performance in UMIE. Future researchers could extend this study by comparing the results from different groups of economies or countries

    DYEING OF COTTON FABRIC WITH NATURAL DYE FROM CUDRANIA JAVANENSIS USING SOKA LEAVES EXTRACT AS BIOMORDANT

    Tegeran wood (Cudrania javanensis) has been used for dyeing process of batik in Indonesian textile small medium scale enterprise. This wood gave soga color when it was mixed with others natural dye. This study was aim to evaluate the caharacteristic, fastness properties, and strength color of dyed cotton fabrics using C. javanensis with bio-mordant soka leaves extract. Extraction of C. javanensis was carried out using water. The post mordant process was carried out by applying alum (KAl(SO4)2•12H2O) solution and soka leaves extract on cotton fabrics with the concentration of 0.5 and 1% b/v. Characteristic of dyed cotton fabrics then was evaluated using Fourier-Transform Infrared (F-TIR) Spectroscopy. The results exhibited that, binding between tegeran wood on cotton using mordant alum and soka leaves extract was similar.The fastness properties both dyed cottons toward light and  washing at 40ºC exhibited poor and very poor values with values of 1-2 and 1. The dry and wet rubbing of dyed cotton using soka leaves extract mordant better than using alum. The soka leaves extract gave yellow and brightness color on cotton.The results suggested that soka leaves extract can be used as mordant substitute the alum mordant and apllied with others natural dyes
