    A Hybrid Secure Cloud Platform Maintenance Based on Improved Attribute-Based Encryption Strategies

    In the modern era, Cloud Platforms are the most needed port to maintain documents remotely with proper security norms. The concept of cloud environments is similar to the network channel. Still, the Cloud is considered the refined form of network, in which the data can easily be stored into the server without any range restrictions. The data maintained into the remote server needs a high-security feature, and the processing power of data should be high to retrieve the data back from the respective server. In the past, there were several security schemes available to protect the remote cloud server reasonably. However, the attack possibilities over the cloud platform remain; only all the researchers continuously work on this platform without any delay. This paper introduces a hybrid data security scheme called the Improved Attribute-Based Encryption Scheme (IABES). This IABES combines two powerful data security algorithms: Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Attribute-Based Encryption (ABE) algorithm. These two algorithms are combined to provide massive support to the proposed approach of data maintenance over the remote cloud server with high-end security norms. This hybrid data security algorithm assures the data cannot be attacked over the server by the attacker or intruder in any case because of its robustness. The essential generation process generates a credential for the users. It cannot be identified or visible to anyone as well as the generated certificates cannot be extracted even if the corresponding user forgets the credentials. The only way to get back the certification is resetting the credential. The obtained results prove the accuracy level of the proposed cypher security schemes compared with the regular cloud security management scheme, and the proposed algorithm essential generation process is unique. No one can guess or acquire it. Even the person may be the service provider or server administrator. For all, the proposed system assures data maintenance over the cloud platform with a high level of security and robustness in Quality of Service

    Hardware-Software Co-design for Side-Channel Protected Neural Network Inference

    Physical side-channel attacks are a major threat to stealing confidential data from devices. There has been a recent surge in such attacks on edge machine learning (ML) hardware to extract the model parameters. Consequently, there has also been some work, although limited, on building corresponding side-channel defenses against such attacks. All the current solutions either take the fully software or fully hardware-centric approaches, which are limited either in performance or flexibility. In this paper, we propose the first hardware-software co-design solution for building side-channel-protected ML hardware. Our solution targets edge devices and addresses both performance and flexibility needs. To that end, we develop a secure RISC-V-based coprocessor design that can execute a neural network implemented in C/C++. The coprocessor uses masking to execute various neural network operations like weighted summations, activation functions, and output layer computation in a side-channel secure fashion. We extend the original RV32I instruction set with custom instructions to control the masking gadgets inside the secure coprocessor. We further use the custom instructions to implement easy-to-use APIs that are exposed to the end-user as a shared library. Finally, we demonstrate the empirical side-channel security of the design with 1M traces

    Feasibility of urolithiasis management after studer neobladder urinary diversion: A multicenter center study

    Background: Stones formation is a common complication after cystectomy including stones of the upper urinary tract and reservoir or conduit. Advances in instrumentation and techniques have expanded treatment options, while minimizing morbidity. Aims and Objectives: Feasibility of urolithiasis management after urinary diversion surgery. Materials and Methods: Eleven patients of diversion with stone were observed from January 01, 2015, to July 30, 2022. Operative procedures were decided on basis on stone locations and size. Perioperative parameters were observed and compared with similar studies. Percutaneous nephrolithotomy, percutaneous-based antegrade ureteroscopy with semi-rigid or flexible ureteroscope, transurethral reservoir lithotripsy, percutaneous pouch lithotripsy, and open operation were performed. The operative finding and complications were retrospectively collected and analyzed. Results: The mean age of the patients was 53.2±8.1 years and mean pre-operative stone diameter was 3.1±3.5 cm. Three patients suprapubic cystolithotomy, two patients percutaneous cystolithotripsy, two patients percutaneous nephrolithitomy, two patients extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, one patient per urethral cystolithotripsy/cystolitholapexy, and one patient ureteroscopy/flexible ureteroscopy were done. The male-to-female ratio was 9/2. Stone-free rate was 100% after single session of treatment. In the post-operative period, fever was observed in two patients, and urinary leakage through wound site in one patient. Conclusion: Stone surgery after urinary diversion is challenging, success of treatment depends on experience of surgical team, pre-operative preparation, and correct instrumentations

    In vitro induction of tuber formation for the synthesis of secondary metabolites in Chlorophytum borivilianum Sant. et Fernand

    Chlorophytum borivilianum Sant. et Fernand an endangered herb is valued for several medicinal properties in its tuberous roots. An efficient and reproducible method for inducing in vitro tubers from stem disc explant has been developed. Stem disc possessing shoot buds were induced to develop multiple shoots in Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with vitamins, 3% sucrose, 0.8% agar and 5 mg/L benzylaminopurine (BAP). Healthy regenerated shoots were rooted in MS basal medium containing 3% sucrose (w/v), 0.8% agar supplemented with indole-3-acetic acid (2 mg/L). On further sub culturing, the maximum percentage of tuber formation was obtained in growth hormone free half (½) MS liquid media supplemented with vitamins and 1.5% sucrose after 8 to 9 weeks. The saponin contents of the in vitro and in vivo raised tubers were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed by highperformance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and liquid chromatography electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS). There was a significant similarity in the saponins in both tubers. The in vitro raised tubers showed similar high metabolite content than in vivo grown tubers which is required for medicinal applications. The rooted plantlets were transferred to peat and sand (2:1) with more than 80% success. This is the 1st report of in vitro tuber formation and secondary metabolites screening of C. borivilianum.     Causal Relationship of Transverse Left Ventricular Band and Bicuspid Aortic Valve

    Objectives: Bicuspid aortic valve is the most common congenital lesion found in adults. It is can be seen in combination with a transverse left ventricular (LV) band. We aimed to find an essential relationship between the presence of transverse ventricular band and bicuspid aortic valve. Methods: 13 patients with transverse left ventricular band were investigated during a 6 month period from January 2019 to July 2019. LV band thickness and gradients at the site of the LV band were evaluated as part of its effect on LV hemodynamics. Morphology of aortic valve and LV outflow tract gradients were assessed. We aimed to establish the presence of robust LV band as a surrogate marker for bicuspid aortic valve and evaluate the effect of LV band on LV hemodynamics. Results: Mean age of study population was 41yrs. Majority had bicuspid aortic valve(n=11). Average thickness of transverse band was 6.2mm and average mean aortic gradient was4mmHg. Sequestration of blood was noted at the level of transverse band in all the patients with 2 separate jets at LVOT. Anterolateral jet was deflected from transverse band and showed higher velocity in comparison to the other jet, causing turbulence at the bicuspid aortic valve. No co-relation was found between the thickness of transverse band and aortic valve gradient. Conclusion: Presence of a robust transverse LV band can serve as a surrogate marker for bicuspid aortic valve. Keywords: Bicuspid aortic valve ; aortic stenosi

    Safety and efficacy of tubeless mini percutaneous nephrolithotomy: A single-centre study

    Introduction: Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is considered the ‘gold standard’ treatment for managing simple and complex renal stones, with a success rate of >90% . Many modifications and refinements of the standard PCNL have been developed to decrease morbidity and hospital stay; such as the use of a smaller working sheath and nephroscope (mini-PCNL), omitting the use of a nephrostomy tube (tubeless PCNL), sealing of the nephrostomy tract with haemostatic materials, and PCNL under regional anesthesia. Aim : To assess the and safety and effectiveness of tubeless mini percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). Material and method: In this retrospective observational study, patients with renal or upper ureteric calculi, who underwent tubeless mini PCNL between January 2013 and December 2020, were included. Intra-operative and post-operative events were analyzed. Written consent was obtained from the patients to participate in the study and to publish their data. Results: 900 patients were analyzed. The mean age was 37.92 years. 404 patients were females and 496 were males. Stones was in 52% in Left side 48 % in Right side. Renal pelvis was the commonest site of stone location. The mean operative time was 54.5 minutes. The mean hemoglobin concentration drop was 0.8 g/dl. The blood transfusion rate was 1.6%. Stone free rate was 95.33%. The mean length of hospital stay was 48 hours. Conclusions: Tubeless mini PCNL is an effective treatment with good clearance rate and acceptable morbidity in experienced hands

    Restoring the voids of voices by signs and gestures, in dentistry: A cross-sectional study

    Aims: To help dentists to communicate with the hearing impaired patients, reach an accurate diagnosis and explain the treatment plan by learning some signs and gestures used in the nonverbal communication (NVC) and by devising some new signs and gestures related to dentistry which shall be easy to learn and understand both by the hearing impaired patients and the dentists. Settings and Design: The study was carried out on 100 hearing impaired students in the age group of 10–14 years in two special schools for hearing impaired children located in two different states of India, where different spoken languages and different sign languages are used. One dentist (expert dentist) was trained in the NVC and the other dentist (non expert dentist) had no knowledge of this type of communication, communicated the same sets of statements related to dentistry, to the hearing impaired children. One1 translator was assigned to judge their interactions. Students were asked to tell the interpreter at the end of each signed interaction what they understood from the statement conveyed to them by both the dentists. Statistical Analysis Used: All data collected were subjected to statistical analysis using Chi-square test and odds ratio test. Results: In the special school of 1st state, the nonexpert dentist conveyed only 36.3% of the information correctly to the students, whereas the expert dentist conveyed 83% of the information correctly. In the special school of 2nd state, the nonexpert dentist conveyed only 37.5% of the information correctly to the students, whereas the expert dentist conveyed 80.3% of the information correctly. Conclusions: Dentists should be made aware of the NVC and signs and gestures related to dentistry should be taught to the hearing impaired students as well as the dental students
