Model for Measuring the Entrepreneurship of the Population

Population entrepreneurship is an important factor in the progress of economic development. This paper proposes a model of entrepreneurship measurement for comparing the level of entrepreneurship. The model consists of two main components, including criteria for the selection and determination of entrepreneurship by adapting the multi­criteria evaluation method TOPSIS. The most important criteria for identifying entrepreneurship cover the dynamics of the unemployment rate, the population of personal characteristics, geographical location, broadband Internet penetration per 1000 inhabitants, issued business licenses per thousand population, competitiveness, innovation, registered enterprises per thousand population, the promotion of a entrepreneurship program, the average wage level, the number of loans taken for business per thousand population, the number of bankrupt enterprises per thousand population, the level of education, the subscription of newspapers and magazines on business. Straipsnyje siūlomas gyventojų verslumo mata­vimo modelis, leidžiantis palyginti verslumo lygį. Modelį sudaro du pagrindiniai komponentai: kriterijų parinkimo ir gyventojų verslumo nustatymas, pritaikant daugiakriterį vertinimo būdą TOPSIS. Svarbiausi kriterijai, padedantys nustatyti verslumą, yra nedarbo  lygio  dinamika,  asmeninės  gyventojų  savybės,  geografinė  padėtis,  plačiajuosčio  ryšio  interneto  skvarba  tūkstančiui  gyventojų, išduoti verslo liudijimai tūkstančiui gyventojų, konkurencingumas, inovacijų diegimas, įregistruotų įmonių skaičius tūkstančiui  gyventojų,  verslumą  skatinančios  programos,  vidutinis  darbo  užmokesčio  dydis,  paimtų  paskolų  verslui  skaičius  tūkstančiui gyventojų, bankrutavusių įmonių skaičius tūkstančiui gyventojų, išsilavinimo lygis, laikraščių ir žurnalų verslo tema prenumerata. Entrepreneurial ecosystem research: present debates and future directions

The purpose of this article is to review the emerging research on entrepreneurial ecosystem and to guide future research into this promising area. The study presents a critical review on the entrepreneurial ecosystem, starting from its very definition and antecedents. Combining prior research with building on the main concepts that constitute an entrepreneurial ecosystem, we have developed an original set of guidelines that can help scholars and practitioners seeking an answer to the following pressing question: “How can we gain a comprehensive understanding of an entrepreneurial ecosystem?”. We will then discuss the opportunities for expanding our current knowledge on entrepreneurial ecosystems and describe the current debates and directions for future research. Lastly, we will provide guidelines that policymakers may take into consideration when designing and issuing support measures to promote entrepreneurship in their local ecosystems
