New Comprehensive Analytical Model of Single-Phase AC/DC Diode Rectifiers in the Presence of Interharmonics in Supply Voltage

    No full text
In this paper, a new accurate and comprehensive analytical model of harmonic and interharmonic distortion produced by a single-phase AC/DC diode rectifier (DBR) is presented. Its main and new characteristic is the ability to consider the presence of interharmonics in addition to harmonics in the voltage at the terminals of DBR due to the background voltage. Analytical expressions able to predict DC voltage and AC current in time domain are obtained. Several numerical and experimental tests have been performed, but in this paper only the numerical and experimental validation on a commercial equipment (i.e. CFL lamp) showing very accurate results is reported for space limitations

In this paper, a new accurate and comprehensive analytical model of harmonic and interharmonic distortion produced by a single-phase AC/DC diode bridge rectifier (DBR) is presented. Its main and new characteristic is the ability to consider the presence of interharmonics in addition to harmonics in the voltage at the terminals of DBR due to the background distortion. Analytical expressions able to predict DC voltage and AC current either in time or frequency domains are obtained. Several numerical and experimental tests have been performed showing very accurate results. The proposed model presents all the advantages of analytical models (e.g., fastness); therefore, it can be easily integrated with iterative harmonic and interharmonic analysis procedures. Subsequent applications are the possibility to perform parametric analyses and probabilistic studies, to derive harmonically and interharmonically coupled admittance matrices, to help in introducing standard limits for interharmonics

New national and regional bryophyte records, This is the first record of Campylopus subulatus, Racomitrium elongatum and Taxiphyllum wissgrillii for the Liguria Region. Campylopus subulatus was found on small serpentinite outcrops occupied by a discontinuous plant community, with a paucispecific contingent of phanerogams dominated by succulent chamaephytes and therophytes (refered to the Sedo-Scleranthetalia order) and a richer contingent of bryophytes including Racomitrium elongatum Frisvoll, Hypnum callichroum Brid., Ceratodon purpureus (Hedw.) Brid., Grimmia donniana Sm., Dicranum scoparium Hedw. and Bryum Hedw. spp. These outcrops occur in a marshy area, mainly characterised by mountain grasslands and beech forests growing in a sub-oceanic climate. Racomitrium elongatum was found on serpentinite outcrops within the Beigua Regional Natural Park, in a beech forest and in marshy mountain grassland. Taxiphyllum wissgrillii was found a serpentinite outcrop in a deciduous mesophilic forest dominated by beech (Fagus sylvatica L., referring to the Fagion silvaticae alliance), in the Beigua Regional Natural Park

The genus Asterella is widely represented in the New World, with about 18 species, from North America to Southern South America. According to Bischler et al. (2005), 10 species are found in the Neotropics. This report accounts for the presence of A. chilensis, an austral species, in Uruguay. Therefore, constituting its first record within the Neotropics boundariesFil: Ellis, L. T.. Natural History Museum; Reino UnidoFil: Afonina, O.M.. Russian Academy of Sciences.
