    The phenomenon of error in choosing courses are still quite common among college students and had impact on the low of learning achievement, a long process of study completion, and in the further is the lack of absorption of graduates in the work field. The aim of this study was to obtain empirical description about: personality type, the fit between personality type with a choice of courses, gender differences in terms of suitability factor personality type with a choice of courses as well as the achievements of the appropriate classification of personality types. This descriptive study used sample of students of the Faculty of Psychology class of 2012/2013 UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung numbered 144 students. Measurement of the personality type had used Holland’s personality inventory. The study results showed that: 1) the majority of students (70.17%) had a personality type that is incompatible with the psychology courses, 2) gender factors has influence the choice of study program, 3) The fit between personality type along with a choice of courses have effect on the acquisition of a better performanc

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh maraknya perilaku seksual remaja yang semakin mengkhawatirkan, anggapan tabu dan kurangnya pengetahuan orang tua tentang pendidikan seks, serta belum maksimalnya peran guru BK atau konselor sekolah dalam memberikan pendidikan seks kepada remaja. Keberadaan dukungan sistem sebagai salahsatu komponen bimbingan dan konseling akan menjembatani kerja sama dalam mengembangkan model konseling keluarga berbasis sekolah (School-Based Family Counseling – SBFC). Strategi yang dipilih adalah preventif keluarga melalui kegiatan parent education tentang pendidikan seks bagi remaja.. Tujuan Parent education ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua tentang pendidikan seks bagi remaja. Jenis penelitian yang dipilih adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan desain concurrent Embedded strategy. 20 orang tua terlibat dalam uji coba model secara terbatas. Alat ukur penelitian diadaptasi dari Instruments for Training and Learning Evaluation dari W Leslie Rae (2004). Hasil uji coba model secara terbatas membuktikan bahwa kegiatan parent education efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua tentang pendidikan seks bagi remaja, terutama pengetahuan konseptual dan prosedural. Rekomendasi penelitian diarahkan untuk perbaikan dan pengembangan model lebih lanjut, sebagai alternatif pengembangan kerja sama multi disipliner dalam menangani masalah siswa, dapat menjadi referensi bagi penelitian sejenis. ;---Nani Nuranisah Djamal, 2018. The rife of ‘worrying’ sexual behavior occurred among teenagers nowadays is the background of this study—whereby parents still have insufficient knowledge on sex education for teenagers, with which the subject itself is still regarded as taboo. Being analyzed in this study is also the fact that the Counseling and Guidance teachers or counselors at school are yet to provide maximal support on this subject. The existence of support system as one of the Counseling and Guidance components there of will create a bridge for the cooperation in developing a School-Based Family Counseling—SBFC model. The strategy chosen in this study is family prevention through parent education program on sex education for adolescence, which purpose is to broaden the knowledge needed by the parents on sex education for their teens children. The type of study being used here is Research and Development by utilizing the Concurrent Embedded Strategy design—whereby twenty parents are involved in a limited experiment of the developed model. The instruments for this study is adapted from Instruments for Training and Learning Evaluating by W. Leslie Rae (2004). As it shows from the result of the limited experiment of the model, parenting education program is quite effective to increase the knowledge on sex education for teens among parents, especially in regards to the conceptual and procedural knowledge of the subject. It is recommended to further the study to be directed toward the improvement and development of the said model, as a viable alternative in developing multidiscipline subject cooperation to cope with the work regarding student’s problems, and also to provide more reference for similar studies

    PROGRAM BIMBINGAN KETERAMPILAN BELAJAR BAGI SISWA BERBAKAT : Studi Deskriptif Terhadap Siswa Kelas Akselerasi SMP Negeri 5 Bandung

    Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif pada siswa kelas akselerasi angkatan kedua SMP negeri 5 bandung. Berdasarkan hasil eksplorasi selama studi pendahuluan, diperoleh informasi bahwa 5 dari 8 siswa di kelas akselerasi mengakui kesulitan untuk memperoleh prestasi yang sesuai dengan harapan. Kegagalan dalam mencapai prestasi yang diharapkan ini disebabkan karena faktor dari dalam diri seperti belum belajar secara maksimal, dan kesalahan dalam menggunakan strategi belajar. Fenomena ini mendorong peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian seputar masalah belajar pada siswa berbakat, khususnya tentang keterampilan belajar mereka.. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai keterampilan belajar siswa berbakat di kelas akselerasi. Kemudian mengembangkan program bimbingan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan belajar mereka. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut digunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metoda deskriptif. Prosedur penelitian ditempuh melalui sembilan tahapan, yaitu : 1) pengungkapan data tentang kondisi objektif lapangan; 2) kajian konseptual tentang keterampilan belajar; 3) mempersiapkan alat pengumpul data; 4) melakukan pengumpulan data; 5) Menganalisis data hasil penelitian; 6) Melakukan pembahasan terhadap seluruh data yang diperoleh, menganalisis keterkaitan antara satu data dengan data yang lainnya; 7) Membuat program hipotetik untuk meningkatkan keterampilan belajar bagi siswa kelas akslerasi; 8) validasi program hipotetik; 9) rekomendasi rumusan akhir program bimbingan keterampilan belajar bagi siswa berbakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara umum keterampilan belajar siswa kelas akselerasi belum berkembang secara optimal. Dari delapan siswa yang diteliti, hanya satu orang yang menunjukan penguasaan keterampilan belajar yang memadai. Adapun masalah keterampilan belajar yang umum dimiliki oleh siswa kelas akselerasi SMP negeri 5 Bandung yaitu kecepatan membaca, konsentrasi, membuat catatan dan persiapan tes. Bertolak dari hasil penelitian, peneliti merekomendasikan kepada SMP negeri 5 Bandung berupa program bimbingan keterampilan belajar sebagai salah satu suplemen dalam pelaksanaan bimbingan belajar bagi siswa berbakat. Program yang diajukan meliputi : rasional, visi, misi, tujuan program bimbingan keterampilan belajar dukungan sistem layanan, ruang lingkup program bimbingan keterampilan belajar metode, waktu, dan tempat pelaksanaan program, komponen program keterampilan belajar, implementasi program, evaluasi program, program latihan keterampilan belajar, serta contoh tematik program keterampilan belajar

    This research starts from the observations of researchers regarding the condition of the academic guidance at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung.  Academic advisers are lecturers who are appointed and assigned the task of guiding a group of students who aim to help develop the individual potential of students. However, the results of the observation illustrate that the role has not yet proceeded as it should and not accompanied by clear and detailed guidelines for both the lecturer and the students themselves.This study aims to obtain an ideal academic guidance management model design for students at  UIN Sunan gunung Djati Bandung by considering: a) general description of academic guidance experienced by students; b). operational student academic guidance; and c). Academic guidance content provided to students.In this study there is only one variable, namely academic guidance management which means the application of management functions in academic guidance activities. The approach used in this research is mixed methods research, where the researcher seeks and analyzes the data obtained both quantitatively and qualitatively simultaneously, which is then processed and presented using descriptive statistics. The respondents in this study were students and lecturers who were representatives of 8 faculties at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung.The results of the study are presented in 4 major sections, namely; general description of academic guidance, operational academic guidance, academic guidance content and academic guidance management that have been taking place at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. General description of academic guidance contains the objectives of academic guidance, rights, and obligations of academic supervisors and guidance students. The operational academic guidance of students is focused on the point of time guidance, guidance cards and indicators of the success of guidance. In the aspect of academic guidance content given to students, researchers focus on 4 points, namely; academic guidance, personal guidance, social guidance, and career guidance. Management in academic guidance activities themselves have several functions that have not been discussed in detail in this study. This is because researchers only focus this research on the functions of planning, organizing and controlling. The function of decision making, staffing, communication and direction is highlighted by the researcher on the proposal or recommendation of the ideal academic guidance management pattern that should apply in UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung.Based on the data obtained then the researcher gives advice; both theoretical, suggestions for further research and suggestions for validating the design of academic guidance management that is ideal for UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung which has been designed by researchers

    Premarital Sexual Behavior, Sexual Assertiveness, and Sex Guilt Among College Students

    The phenomenon of premarital sexual behavior in college students is a moral problem demanding serious attention. A key determinant in reducing this behavior is the interplay between sexual assertiveness and sex guilt. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of sexual assertiveness and sex guilt on premarital sexual behavior. A quantitative approach is used with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The participant consists of 153 students residing in Bandung City, aged 18-24 years, who are presently or have been in a relationship and are unmarried. The results show that sexual assertiveness and sex guilt have negative significant effect on premarital sexual behavior both simultaneously and partially with contribution of 35.9%. In conclusion, these variables are crucial for students as they can prevent them from engaging in premarital sexual behavior ranging from mild to severe risks

     Fenomena perselingkuhan dalam ikatan pernikahan dapat terjadi pada pasangan usia dewasa madya yang telah menjalani pernikahan dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Adanya perselingkuhan (infidelity) dapat disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya adalah permasalahan kepuasan dalam pernikahan (marital satisfaction). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pengaruh marital satisfaction terhadap kecenderungan infidelity dalam kelompok X, suatu komunitas dewasa madya yang memiliki minat serupa, seperti mengunjungi tempat karaoke, bar, kafe hingga melakukan perjalanan ke luar kota tanpa didampingi oleh pasangan atau keluarga. Selain itu, mereka secara aktif berkomunikasi melalui grup Facebook khusus. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan versi termodifikasi dari alat ukur ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Scale dan Propensity towards Infidelity Scale. Terdapat 43 responden (24 pria dan 19 wanita) berusia 40-65 tahun dan masih terikat dalam pernikahan dengan durasi usia pernikahan lebih dari 15 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan pernikahan berpengaruh terhadap kecenderungan perselingkuhan dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 56.2% dan kontribusi dari rendahnya kepuasan pernikahan memiliki peran signifikan dalam meningkatkan perilaku berselingkuh

    The adolescents usually spent time as a student. However, there were adolescents who married early which may cause them to lose one of the most important duties in their adolescences period, such as preparing for marriage and household. Adolescents who married in early age have a new role in their life as an adult. Marriage life came with its own problems that may cause stressors. Stressors can be solved by individual’s coping strategies. Coping is the way individual deal with stressful situation. The purpose of this study was to explore the coping used by married adolescents at the age of 15-16 years old in Bandung. This study used qualitative method and phenomenology research with three key informants. The results of this study show that three subjects used emotion-focused coping more dominant than problem-focused coping. The reason was the subjects mostly use feeling and show emotional signs when they have problems
