The Gratitude Questionnaire and Mindful Attention Awareness Scale for use with Latina/o college students: A confirmatory factor analysis
Interventions based on positive psychology constructs have become increasingly popular over the past two decades, necessitating validation of instruments for use with underrepresented populations (Pawelski, 2016; Vela, Lerma, & Ikonomopoulos, 2016). This study reports an evaluation of the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS; Brown & Ryan, 2003) and the Gratitude Questionnaire (GQ-6; McCullough, Emmons, & Tsang, 2002) for use with Latina/o college students. Sample sizes used in this study are N = 207 (99 women and 104 men; 4 did not identify) for the MAAS and N = 127 (84 women and 38 men; 5 did not identify) for the GQ-6. The process of confirmatory factor analyses of these measures for use with the stated population is discussed in the current paper, as are implications for future research and counseling services
Optimal molecular alignment and orientation through rotational ladder climbing
We study the control by electromagnetic fields of molecular alignment and
orientation, in a linear, rigid rotor model. With the help of a monotonically
convergent algorithm, we find that the optimal field is in the microwave part
of the spectrum and acts by resonantly exciting the rotation of the molecule
progressively from the ground state, i.e., by rotational ladder climbing. This
mechanism is present not only when maximizing orientation or alignment, but
also when using prescribed target states that simultaneously optimize the
efficiency of orientation/alignment and its duration. The extension of the
optimization method to consider a finite rotational temperature is also
presented.Comment: 14 pages, 12 figure
Combining Model-Driven Design With Diverse Formal Verification
International audienceTwo historically diverse research streams are now delivering strong industrial performance in the engineering of high-integrity, software-intensive systems. The earlier of these is the use of source-language-based static analysis and formal verification. The more recent is the use of model-driven design coupled with automatic code generation. Although both have been effective, neither is without problems. Fortunately, these approaches are not mutually exclusive and combining them offers a route to ultra-high integrity at low cost. The paper exemplifies the approach by describing the combining of SPARK and SCADE and illustrating the benefits and opportunities that this brings
Van der Waals Density Functional for General Geometries
A scheme within density functional theory is proposed that provides a
practical way to generalize to unrestricted geometries the method applied with
some success to layered geometries [H. Rydberg, et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 91,
126402 (2003)]. It includes van der Waals forces in a seamless fashion. By
expansion to second order in a carefully chosen quantity contained in the long
range part of the correlation functional, the nonlocal correlations are
expressed in terms of a density-density interaction formula. It contains a
relatively simple parametrized kernel, with parameters determined by the local
density and its gradient. The proposed functional is applied to rare gas and
benzene dimers, where it is shown to give a realistic description.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure
Perancangan Sistem Informasi Akademik SD Negeri Telukan 01 Grogol Sukoharjo
As the development of information technology from time to time which demands a different human being to continue to improve its ability in a variety of sectors that can support life, especially in education. Telukan 01 Elementary School is one of the public elementary school in the village Telukan Grogol Sukoharjo. Where is the data processing school students and teachers are still done manually.Seeing constraint on SD Telukan Negeri 01, then the author makes application of data processing students and teachers to process data quickly and efficiently. Data processing applications created by software using Visual Basic 6.0 and SQL Server 2000 as a data storage medium (Database). From the observations made can be concluded among other things: information that is complete, timely, accurate, fast, and obviously very helpful in providing a variety of information and decisions for Elementary School Telukan 01 Computerized System is designed for data processing students and teachers. And assist in preparing the student and teacher data reports that can provide accurate and timely for administrators or users of this system
Reorganization of Supply Chain Management Function in PERTAMINA EP Based on Newly Developed PERTAMINA EP Business Process
Supply Chain Management Organization structure implementation in Pertamina EP is not optimal yet in supporting the Supply Chain function\u27s activities. The existing organization wasn\u27t good enough in supporting Pertamina EP\u27s operational activities and supporting continous improvement in strategy and operational activities of Supply Chain. Overlapping and unclear the accountability person caused late in decision making and the accuracy of decision. These can caused lost opportunity in operation, employees demotivation, dan overall will effect the company operational activities. For improvements things mentioned above, the first step is to conduct observation and data collection. The data was analyzed and identified what the potential problems. Potential problems are discussed for the problem solving expectations. After knowing the expectations of the solution, then the new organization structure have to be designed. One of alternative concept is based on Supply Chain Management Business process with accoutability mapping according to business process. By applying the new structure, the problems faced can be overcom
The self-assembly of particles with isotropic interactions: Using DNA coated colloids to create designer nanomaterials

The following article appeared in AIP Conference Proceedings 1590 and may be found at http://dx.doi.org/10.1063/1.4870223Self-consistent field theory equations are presented that are suitable for use as a coarse-grained model for DNA
coated colloids, polymer-grafted nanoparticles and other systems with approximately isotropic interactions. The equations
are generalized for arbitrary numbers of chemically distinct colloids. The advantages and limitations of such a coarsegrained
approach for DNA coated colloids are discussed, as are similarities with block copolymer self-assembly. In particular,
preliminary results for three species self-assembly are presented that parallel results from a two dimensional ABC triblock
copolymer phase. The possibility of incorporating crystallization, dynamics, inverse statistical mechanics and multiscale
modelling techniques are discussed
Constraining Scalar Leptoquarks from the K and B Sectors
Upper bounds at the weak scale are obtained for all
type product couplings of the scalar leptoquark
model which may affect K-K(bar), B_d-B_d(bar), and B_s-B_s(bar)$ mixing, as
well as leptonic and semileptonic K and B decays. Constraints are obtained for
both real and imaginary parts of the couplings. We also discuss the role of
leptoquarks in explaining the anomalously large CP-violating phase in
B_s-B_s(bar) mixing.Comment: 16 pages, 5 figures, more constraints analyzed, added a number of
