: This study aimed to describe and analyze the community participation in the development of the Salatiga city through information technology. By using the descriptive qualitative approach to observe the formation of community Kabar Salatiga. From the results in the field was found that the formation of community Kabar Salatiga not separated from the role of actor. Actor as agents of change utilize the social media (facebook) so that people can participate to gives information in criticizing, voice their opinions about the Salatiga city's development which currently and has already run. Kabar Salatiga community participation in the development not only manifested through the information provided by the virtual community. The passage of time the actors forming / creating real community of Kabar Salatiga by doing positive activities like helping people who are not able etc. With the community participation in development through information technology is expected the community no longer as an object but a subject. Induction of MHC Class I Expression by the MHC Class II Transactivator CIITA

Major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I–deficient cell lines were used to demonstrate that the MHC class II transactivator (CIITA) can induce surface expression of MHC class I molecules. CIITA induces the promoter of MHC class I heavy chain genes. The site α DNA element is the target for CIITA-induced transactivation of class I. In addition, interferon-γ (IFNγ)–induced MHC class I expression also requires an intact site α. The G3A cell line, which is defective in CIITA induction, does not induce MHC class I antigen and promoter in response to IFNγ. Trans-dominant–negative forms of CIITA reduce class I MHC promoter function and surface antigen expression. Collectively, these data argue that CIITA has a role in class I MHC gene induction

Local wisdom of the Dayak Tomun Lamandau community regarding opening agricultural land by burning is local knowledge that has been passed down from ancestors. In the activity of opening agricultural land there are rituals and customary rules that must be carried out. The rise of forest and land fires in recent years has caused negative impacts. Based on that, the government issued a policy prohibiting clearing forests and land by burning. The ban was felt by indigenous peoples in the village of Lopus where rice production to meet their daily lives fell sharply. This study aims to determine and analyze the social changes of indigenous peoples after the ban on land burning in Lopus Village, Lamandau Regency. While the research approach used is descriptive qualitative. Based on the findings in the field of social changes that occurred in Lopus Village not only because of policies that have been issued by the government but there are also other factors such as land conversion and increasing population. The inclusion of tourism is considered a form of local community survival strategy because it has an economic impact. The conclusion obtained is that until now the people of Lopus still burn land for farming but groups and land area have been restricted,  so that the fields cannot meet household needs. To survive amid the prohibition of burning land, the indigenous people of Lopus Village have developed their cultural and natural tourism. Every year foreign and local tourists visiting the village of Lopus have increased, thus affecting the economy of indigenous people

Since the enactment of decentralization local government have been granted the authority to organize, protect society etc. Given the authority that Central Kalimantan provincial government issued a policy (Pergub No. 15 tahun 2010 on guidelines for land clearing and yard for the people) to protect the local community in the tradition / habit of farming by burning forests to customary provisions. The aim of this study is to describe and analyze the extent to which public policy relevance since the issuance of the policy in 2010-2015 and to what extent these policies protect the local wisdom. the method used is descriptive qualitative study, using the study of literature in the process of data collection. Results and discussion of these studies show that 1) in 2015 created a policy that is no longer relevant because the whole area of Central Kalimantan is 15.3 million hectares, 12.7 hectares (78%) is controlled by plantation companies. 2) goodwill by the Government of Central Kalimantan to protect local communities need to be given appreciation. But this policy could apply / relevant if it is done before the 90s because many forests and local people still farming to meet food needs

Therefore, in this study, theauthors will examine the public perception of the planned development of Geothermal PowerPlant (PLTP) in Idamdehe Village, District Jailolo, West Halmahera, North Maluku Province. The reason the author took this topic because the village will be built PLTP. The researchmethodology used is qualitative descriptive. From the results of the research shows that thedevelopment plan of PTLP in Idamdehe village has been socialized since 2011-2013. From theeffects of the socialization of the community get information about PTLP. There are threegroups of perceptions about the PLTP development plan that is Agree, Disagree and Doubtful

Based on the phenomenon in the field, there are a lot of local wisdom of Tomun Lamandau Dayakpeople who are almost extinct due to the entry of modernization and the lack of public awarenessin maintaining their wisdom. Based on the results of observations and interviews found somelocal wisdom that is almost gone, namely: traditional games, traditional farming systems, wisdomrespecting the forest, traditional medicine system, spiritual abilities, traditional singing anddancing, one of which is Babukung dance (a procession of tribal death rituals of Dayak Tomun).Departing from the problem, the aim of this study was to find out and analyze the role of SocialCapital (bonding, bridging, networking) of the Dewan Adat Dayak in preserving local wisdom inLamandau District, Central Kalimantan Province. This study uses descriptive qualitativemethodology. Using snowball sampling technique in determining informants. The conclusionsdrawn in this study are: a). The social capital owned by the DAD district of Lamandau in bonding, bridging and networking is inseparable from the role of the actor, namely the head of the DistrictDAD as a driving actor. b). With the existence of social capital owned, it is expected that DAD inthe future will be more consistent in preserving existing local wisdom

XBootes: An X-Ray Survey of the NDWFS Bootes Field - Paper I Overview and Initial Results

We obtained a 5 ksec deep Chandra X-ray Observatory ACIS-I map of the 9.3 square degree Bootes field of the NOAO Deep Wide-Field Survey. Here we describe the data acquisition and analysis strategies leading to a catalog of 4642 (3293) point sources with 2 or more (4 or more) counts, corresponding to a limiting flux of roughly 4(8)x10^{-15} erg cm^{-2}s^{-1} in the 0.5-7 keV band. These Chandra XBootes data are unique in that they consitute the widest contiguous X-ray field yet observed to such a faint flux limit. Because of the extraordinarily low background of the ACIS, we expect only 14% (0.7%) of the sources to be spurious. We also detected 43 extended sources in this survey. The distribution of the point sources among the 126 pointings (ACIS-I has a 16 x 16 arcminute field of view) is consistent with Poisson fluctuations about the mean of 36.8 sources per pointing. While a smoothed image of the point source distribution is clumpy, there is no statistically significant evidence of large scale filamentary structure. We do find however, that for theta>1 arcminute, the angular correlation function of these sources is consistent with previous measurements, following a power law in angle with slope -0.7. In a 1.4 deg^{2} sample of the survey, approximately 87% of the sources with 4 or more counts have an optical counterpart to R ~26 mag. As part of a larger program of optical spectroscopy of the NDWFS Bootes area, spectra have been obtained for \~900 of the X-ray sources, most of which are QSOs or AGN.Comment: 18 Pages, 10 figures (AASTex Preprint format
