    Get PDF
One detrimental consequence of the automotive industry's excessive production is the accumulation of end-of-life vehicles (ELV). ELV ought to be disposed of via a waste recycling system. As a result, the automotive sector bears a substantial obligation with regard to ELV. Hyundai is one of the automotive industries that has managed ELV effectively. The YouTube advertisement for the Hyundai Re:Style Presents 2020 model illustrates this. Hyundai's collaboration with fashion designers to recycle automobile byproducts including leather, airbags, seat belts, and glass is featured in the advertisement. They create fashion items from waste, including jewelry, denim jumpsuits, work vests, corsets, and tote bags. Researchers are intrigued by the pursuit of investigating the significance of the sign representation, the object, and the interpretant, as well as the implications of advertising within the framework of green marketing theory. To achieve this aim, the semiotic theory of Charles Sanders Peirce was employed by featuring a triadic model comprising an object, representation, and interpretant. Additionally, Sinh's green marketing framework was incorporated, comprising a green place, green product, green price, and green promotion. Consequently, A qualitative research based on Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotics was used. The results shows that the signs, objects, and interpretants in Hyundai advertisements show the meaning of green marketing

    Get PDF
The case of the Pertamina refinery that caught fire again in 2023 became a trending topic on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) shortly after the incident occurred. From this topic, researchers aimed to measure and analyze the communication network that was formed, the topics discussed, and the actors involved. Due to the limited research on social media communication networks related to the issue identification process for companies, this study also focused on analyzing the results of mapping the communication network that formed on social media platform X and its connection to the concept of reputation when a company faces a negative issue. Data collection was done using the Netlytic application, which was then processed using the Gephi application. From the data collection results, the research showed a diameter value of 9, indicating a relatively loose network of actors. The density, with a value of 0.001445, and the reciprocity, with a value of 0.0001443, indicated very low interaction density. From the actor's perspective, there were three main actors with the highest degree of centrality connecting other actors, but the topics discussed tended to be negative. These findings indicate that the actor @detikcom is dominant, with many other actors connected to the account to discuss topics related to Pertamina. The second dominant actors are @geiszchalifah and @giginpraginanto, who, upon further investigation, are active figures on social media providing information and commenting on political issues

    Get PDF
This studyaims to evaluate the quality of dialogic communication on university library websites and its correlation with students’ scientific information-seeking behaviour during the Covid-19 outbreak. Internet services that organizations frequently use for communicating with their audiences can provide discussion forum services. The university library’s management can investigate their students’ novel ideas, needs, and doubts through dialogic communication, so it will activate and enhance the intellectual power. This research proposed dialogic communication from a sample of 171 undergraduate and graduate students from four countries, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Malaysia. Data was obtained by an online survey. The results confirm that during the outbreak, the library websites have implemented the principles of dialogic communication. There is a significant correlation between dialogic communication and scientific information-seeking behaviour except for Chinese students. Library websites can serve as an effective conduit for engaging students in seeking scientific information for academic works. Students stated that e-learning increases their satisfaction and commitment to university websites. Lecturers are recommended to develop collaborative activities among students using the library website. Impacts on practice or policy are that website administrators can use dialogic communication to assist students; university top management can assure students’ rights to education; lecturers may use library website facilities to support asynchronous case-based learning

    Get PDF
Mining potential in Maluku Province is the largest contributor to nickel mining in Indonesia with nickel reserves of 39% and copper of 92.48% of the national total. Even though nickel and copper are potential resources in this region, they do not yet have production results that have added value and are highly competitive. Now various investors from China are investing in North Maluku with the above potential mining resources. In fact, China is now interested in building a nickel factory in North Maluku, specifically in North Halmahera. The issuance of Law Number 3 of 2020 concerning Amendments to Law Number 4 of 2009 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining is a transformation of mineral and coal policy relating to the management and utilization of mineral and coal in Indonesia. The consequence of the amendment to Law Number 4 of 2009, namely the elimination of regional government authority over the management of mineral and coal mining, was taken over by the central government, which applies nationally. The method used in this research is the Hybrid Method as an applied method. The limitation of this research is that it does not technically examine the ecological, economic and social modeling of mining studies in North Maluku. The recommendation of this research is that further in-depth review is needed from a legal, social, ecological and economic perspective to map and review Law No. 3 of 2020, the formation of a cross-sectoral task force to monitor the impact of the implementation of Law No. 3 of 2020 on the environmental and social sectors. and economics

However, a number of obstacles are still faced in the administration of civil registration services. The purpose of this research is to investigate and describe strategies that can be applied to improve civil registration services at the Tuban District Dispendukcapil. The research method used was a qualitative approach using a case study. Three data collection techniques were used: documentation, observation and interviews. A purposive and snowball approach was used to identify relevant informants. The data analysis process followed an interactive approach, with the stages of Data Collection, Data Condensation, Data Display, and Conclusion Drawing and Verification, developed by Miles Huberman. This research, which adopted Moenir's theoretical framework, produced several findings, including that 1) the awareness of officials and executive leaders regarding the problem has made significant progress; 2) The process of making adequate regulations has run quite smoothly, but in terms of SOPs, the completion it is still not ideal; 3) Although the organization has a dynamic system mechanism, there are still shortcomings in socialization to the community; 4) The competencies and talents required for a job or position have been applied, and everything is going well; and 5) Service facilities are available in accordance with the nature and format of service tasks, but the‘ball pick-up’ services still need to be improved

    Get PDF
The increase in illegal Indonesian workers (TKI) every year is a polemic in itself; the opportunity to become an illegal TKI can be detrimental to the state and individual TKI because they will not get their rights and are vulnerable to problems with inappropriate labor administration. The Indonesian government must immediately resolve this problem to ensure that there are no more illegal Indonesian migrant workers coming to Malaysia. This research uses a qualitative method by collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation from three sources on the survival of illegal migrant workers working in Malaysia. The analysis uses spatial and narrative analysis. This is a novelty in this research and direct observations in the field by the author. The research results show that the main factors for illegal migrant workers going to Malaysia are the availability of jobs, high wages, and the lure of families working there. The workers chose to be illegal because they did not have a valid visa, did not want to renew their advanced visa or a tourist visa, and switched to becoming workers in Malaysia. As for surviving as an illegal worker, the survival strategy for surviving as an illegal worker is to carry out economic, social, legal, and political survival strategies. This research is important to follow up on because many Indonesian citizens are still interested in working abroad illegally and not complying with established regulations, which can harm various parties
