Regional aspects of sectoral digitalization : problems and prospects
Purpose: At present, high and sometimes record indicators have been achieved for the individual branches of agricultural production. Further intensive development of agriculture is due to the search for new ways to increase labor productivity and lower production costs which is the main aim of this research. Design/Methodology/Approach: The methodological basis served as a systematic approach, which ensured comprehensiveness and purposefulness. Analytical, abstract-logical, economic-statistical, monographic and experimental research methods were also used in this work to examine problems and prospects of sectoral digitalization. Findings: The agro-industrial complex demonstrates the growth of production indicators and is on the rise. The target indicators, laid down in the Food Security Doctrine, have already been achieved by many indices. To a large extent, it is due to a significant increase in the agro-industrial complex. Practical implications: A proposed platform that would ensure a breakthrough in further technical modernization of production, can be created only if the technologies are improved based on their digitalization and orientation towards a specific consumer. Originality/Value: The pin-point introduction of digital technologies in agricultural production confirms the high efficiency of the full innovative technical modernization. The proposed digital transformation of management in the agro-industrial complex of Russia is the value of this research with its originality compared to other ideas.peer-reviewe
Contents of heavy metals in fructicose epiphytic lichens of Karelia as indicator of atmospheric transport of pollutants
Results of studies of heavy metals contents in fruticose epiphytic lichens in Karelia are presented and the influence of different sources on the elemental composition of lichens has been estimated. It has been shown, that long-range atmospheric transport influences strongly the accumulation of Pb, Zn, Cd, Sb. For Al, Fe and Co lithogenic source is the main one. In the Northern Karelia atmospheric transport of Cu, Co and Ni from metallurgic enterprises of the Murmansk Region is important source of these elements
Parton Distributions Working Group
The main focus of this working group was to investigate the different issues
associated with the development of quantitative tools to estimate parton
distribution functions uncertainties. In the conclusion, we introduce a
"Manifesto" that describes an optimal method for reporting data.Comment: Report of the Parton Distributions Working Group of the 'QCD and Weak

Charm-sea Contribution to High-p_T \psi Production at the Fermilab Tevatron
The direct production of at large transverse momentum, , at the Fermilab Tevatron is revisited. It is found that the
sea-quark initiated processes dominate in the high- region within the
framework of color-singlet model, which is not widely realized. We think this
finding is enlightening for further investigation on the charmonium production
mechanism.Comment: Conclusions not changed, to appear in J. of Phys.
Successful long-term prophylaxis of hereditary pregnancy-associated angioedema with plasma-derived C1-inhibitor concentrate: a case report
Hereditary angioedema (HAE) is a rare autosomal dominant disease caused by quantitative (type I) or functional (type II) deficiency in C1 esterase inhibitor (C1-INH). It may be caused by new mutations in up to 20% of patients. Prevalence of HAE is uncertain but is estimated to be approximately 1 case per 50,000 persons, without known differences among ethnic groups. C1-INH protein is a serine protease inhibitor that is important in controlling vascular permeability by acting on the initial phase of the complement activation, blood clotting, and fibrinolysis. Deficiency in functional C1-INH protein permits release of bradykinin, a key mediator of vascular permeability. Symptoms typically begin since childhood, worsening at puberty, and persist throughout the life, with unpredictable clinical course. The patients with HAE suffer from recurrent, acute attacks of edema that can affect any body sites, causing potentially life-threatening disorders (laryngeal edema). Results of clinical studies show that minor traumas, stress and medical interventions may be frequent precipitants of swelling episodes, but many attacks occur without an apparent cause. Pregnancy-associated hormonal changes may affect the course of C1-INH angioedema attacks by worsening, improving, or having no impact at all, but a higher percentage of pregnant women experienced an increase in C1-INH-HAE attack rates. Therapeutic options for patients with HAE are limited during pregnancy. C1-INH concentrate is recommended as the first-line therapy for pregnant women with HAE for on-demand treatment, shortterm and long-term prophylaxis, due to its safety and efficiency. Other therapies, e.g., treatment with fresh frozen plasma, androgens, icatibant, antifibrinolytics, may show variable efficacy, or cause undesirable side effects. The case below illustrates the successful treatment of HAE in a pregnant woman with C1 esterase inhibitor (C1-INH) concentrate. This patient had a very mild course of HAE during her lifetime and didn’t get any treatment. During pregnancy, she experienced a significant increase in the frequency of attacks, and the decision was made to start replacement therapy with a plasma-derived, double virus-inactivated C1-INH concentrate as a long-term prophylaxis throughout the full term of her pregnancy, before, during and after the cesarean section delivery
Stop and Sbottom Searches in Run II of the Fermilab Tevatron
We estimate the Tevatron Run II potential for top and bottom squark searches.
We find an impressive reach in several of the possible discovery channels. We
also study some new channels which may arise in non-conventional supersymmetry
models. In each case we rely on a detailed Monte Carlo simulation of the
collider events and the CDF detector performance in Run I.Comment: 30 pages, LaTeX, 10 figure
Poloxomer 188 Has a Deleterious Effect on Dystrophic Skeletal Muscle Function
Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is an X-linked, fatal muscle wasting disease for which there is currently no cure and limited palliative treatments. Poloxomer 188 (P188) is a tri-block copolymer that has been proposed as a potential treatment for cardiomyopathy in DMD patients. Despite the reported beneficial effects of P188 on dystrophic cardiac muscle function, the effects of P188 on dystrophic skeletal muscle function are relatively unknown. Mdx mice were injected intraperitoneally with 460 mg/kg or 30 mg/kg P188 dissolved in saline, or saline alone (control). The effect of single-dose and 2-week daily treatment was assessed using a muscle function test on the Tibialis Anterior (TA) muscle in situ in anaesthetised mice. The test comprises a warm up, measurement of the force-frequency relationship and a series of eccentric contractions with a 10% stretch that have previously been shown to cause a drop in maximum force in mdx mice. After 2 weeks of P188 treatment at either 30 or 460 mg/kg/day the drop in maximum force produced following eccentric contractions was significantly greater than that seen in saline treated control mice (P = 0.0001). Two week P188 treatment at either dose did not significantly change the force-frequency relationship or maximum isometric specific force produced by the TA muscle. In conclusion P188 treatment increases susceptibility to contraction-induced injury following eccentric contractions in dystrophic skeletal muscle and hence its suitability as a potential therapeutic for DMD should be reconsidered
Squark Mixing in Electron-Positron Reactions
Squark mixing plays a large role in the phenomenology of the minimal
supersymmetric standard model, determining the mass of the lightest Higgs boson
and the electroweak interactions of the squarks themselves. We examine how
mixing may be investigated in high energy reactions, both at LEP-II
and the proposed linear collider. In particular, off-diagonal production of one
lighter and one heavier squark allows one to measure the squark mixing angle,
and would allow one to test the mass relations for the light Higgs boson. In
some cases off-diagonal production may provide the best prospects to discover
supersymmetry. In the context of the light bottom squark scenario, we show that
existing data from LEP-II should show definitive evidence for the heavier
bottom squark provided that its mass GeV.Comment: 22 pages, latex, 6 figure
On elliptic solutions of the quintic complex one-dimensional Ginzburg-Landau equation
The Conte-Musette method has been modified for the search of only elliptic
solutions to systems of differential equations. A key idea of this a priory
restriction is to simplify calculations by means of the use of a few Laurent
series solutions instead of one and the use of the residue theorem. The
application of our approach to the quintic complex one-dimensional
Ginzburg-Landau equation (CGLE5) allows to find elliptic solutions in the wave
form. We also find restrictions on coefficients, which are necessary conditions
for the existence of elliptic solutions for the CGLE5. Using the investigation
of the CGLE5 as an example, we demonstrate that to find elliptic solutions the
analysis of a system of differential equations is more preferable than the
analysis of the equivalent single differential equation.Comment: LaTeX, 21 page

Change to the D0 Luminosity Monitor Constant
The D0 experiment has previously calculated its luminosities using a visible cross section (luminosity monitor constant) for its Level 0 trigger, {sigma}{sub L0} = 42.9 mb based on the E710 inelastic cross section measurements. Recently, CDF has also published inelastic cross section measurements markedly different from E710. The D0 experiment has moved to world average inelastic cross sections at {radical}s = 1.8 TeV. The result changes the D0 visible cross section to {sigma}{sub L0} = 48.2 mb which is an increase of 12.4% in the visible cross section value. The error on luminosity has been left unchanged at 12%
