The Spin Structure of the Nucleon
This article reviews our present understanding of QCD spin physics: the
proton spin puzzle and new developments aimed at understanding the transverse
structure of the nucleon. We discuss present experimental investigations of the
nucleon's internal spin structure, the theoretical interpretation of the
different measurements and the open questions and challenges for future
investigation.Comment: Review, 43 pages, 23 figures, to appear in Reviews of Modern Physic

Man of the House : A Turning Point That Leads to Criminal Behavior?
This research study seeks to formally test a relationship between household structure, birth order and juvenile delinquency that was suggested as an onset to criminal behavior by men incarcerated in a maximum security facility. The focus of this study is on first born males due to the retrospective narratives given by the incarcerated men that being a first born male who has either lost a father-or father figure due to death, divorce and/or prison have felt a sense of responsibility as the man of house to be able to provide family stability which can include care of other siblings, maintaining the home through housework and in some cases maintaining the family financially. This study tests whether (1) delinquent acts for monetary gain increases if the adolescent is a first born male and (2) delinquency increases if the juvenile first born male is living in a female headed household. I use Sampson and Laub\u27s (1993) life course theory and the NLSY79 to test the hypothesis. Tobit regression models suggests there is no relationship in increased delinquency for monetary gain for first born males and first born males living in a single female headed household
Thinking Globally, Mapping Locally: Styles and Discourse in Transatlantic Cartography
Maps have the special capacity to create and project spatial frameworks through both their physical and stylistic forms. The close study of maps as constructed objects re-centers the principle element of any art historical problem, relational thinking through visual culture. A cartographic representation examined as an element of its historical context can simultaneously articulate a specific perspective on a particular place, and reveal broader dialogues of which that viewpoint is one part. The articles brought together here examine a variety of local mappings contingent on more global thinking in the transatlantic world, from the colonial period to the twentieth century
Colonial Maps and a Cartographic Reckoning in Post-Revolutionary Mexico City
By the 20th century, 16th-century maps of Mexico City were not new, but their value was renewed by an urban elite grappling with the nation\u27s historical geography. The capital saw fresh developments, including modern architecture and industry, while early excavations offered glimpses of Aztec Tenochtitlan buried beneath. This stratigraphic tension necessitated a reckoning; of concern here is the way that visual and intellectual cultures engaged in a particular cartographic reckoning. Colonial maps filled a void as artists, architects, art historians, and others worked to reconcile Mexico City’s modern identity with its ancient foundations
Pengaruh Komponen Kecerdasan Emosional terhadap Tingkat Stres Kerja Auditor (Studi Empiris pada Kantor Akuntan Publik (Kap) di Pekanbaru dan Medan)

Energy conditions outside a dielectric ball
We show analytically that the vacuum electromagnetic stress-energy tensor
outside a ball with constant dielectric constant and permeability always obeys
the weak, null, dominant, and strong energy conditions. There are still no
known examples in quantum field theory in which the averaged null energy
condition in flat spacetime is violated.Comment: 12 pages, RevTex
