Onderzoek van de fagocytosecapaciteit bij tarbot (<i>Psetta maxima</i>)

Bij het onderzoek van de fagocytosecapaciteit van tarbot (Psetta maxima) werd vooreerst de methode onderzocht om de fagocyten af te zonderen. Daarna werd het fagocytose proces zelf bestudeerd waarbij de invloed van het medium, de temperatuur en de ouderdom van de fagocyten op de fagocytosecapaciteit werd bepaald. Een goede fagocytosecapaciteit werd bekomen met het AIMV-medium. De toevoeging van serum dat afkomstig was van kabeljauw bleek remmend te werken bij het fagocyteren van de gedode gistcellen. Voor wat de invloed van de temperatuur op de fagocytose betreft, nam bij 4°C circa 60% en bij 12°C en 20°C slechts 30% van de fagocyten deel aan het fagocytoseproces. Uit de proefnemingen omtrent de invloed van de ouderdom van de fagocyten op de fagocytosecapaciteit kwam tot uiting dat de afgezonderde fagocyten 6 dagen bruikbaar waren bij een bewaartemperatuur van 12°C. De bepaling van de fagocytosecapaciteit vond haar toepassing bij de kweek van tarbot waarbij verschillende voedselregimes werden gebruikt. Hierbij kwam tot uiting dat de invloed van het basisregime op de conditie van tarbot minstens 8 weken blijft doorwerken na de vervanging van de basisregimes door visafval

Bewaarproeven op voorverpakte verse haring (<i>Clupea harengus</i> L.) onder gesimuleerde verkoopsomstandigheden

Prepackaged herring was stored under simulated selling conditions for up to 5 days: by day (from 9 to 21 h) at 0°, 4° and 8°C and by night at 0°C. Samples withdrawn every day were analysed by sensory, chemical and bacteriological quality determination methods. Gram-negative bacteria were indentified according to the Shewan scheme. The results indicated that the herring had a shelf life of > 5 days at 0°C, 5 days at 4°-2°C and 4 days at 8°C- 0°C. The results indicated that the herring had a total-shelf life of > 5 days revealed by the counts of total aerobic bacteria and by the Enterobacteriaceae. At the end of the storage period the Pseudomonas and the Acinetobacter group represented {approx} 80% of total flora. Furthermore the results showed that Pseudomonas spoilers have a more psychrophilic character than the Acinetobacter group

We describe the integration of some multilingual language resources in ontological descriptions, with the purpose of providing ontologies, which are normally using concept labels in just one (natural) language, with multilingual facility in their design and use in the context of Semantic Web applications, supporting both the semantic annotation of textual documents with multilingual ontology labels and ontology extraction from multilingual text sources
