The problems of microwave antenna synthesis with a dielectriccoatings, which use the desired radiation pattern characteristics as inputinformation, are very important. Based on the method of auxiliary sourcesand integro-functional equations, a solution of the three-dimensional directand inverse problems for excitation of microwave antenna array, whichconsists of a few slot emitters under a finite-size dielectric layer, isintroduced. The results of research for the antennas radiation pattern with agiven the distribution of the sources and synthesis of the amplitude and phasevoltage distribution for the slot antenna array according to the desiredradiation pattern are discussed

As one means to solving propagation problems are considered modeling of electromagnetic wave in inhomogeneous layered media. There are exact relations for the field exciting by the plane monochromatic electromagnetic wave in flat-layered one-dimensional inhomogeneous isotropic media is used in this paper for analysis field structure in media with linear dependence characteristic impedance along propagation directions

As follows from recent investigations microwave energy treatment shows promises for a number of agricultural applications [1, 2]. On many occasions microwave energy radiates into nonscreened absorber medium. As oscillations decay exponentially in passage through a medium it results in noticeably nonuniform field strength distribution in depth. Thus the research for the more effective electromagnetic waves excitation is an urgent problem. In this article the use of focused aperture utilization is discussed. The focused aperture consisting of a linear or planar array of identical radiators is arranged near the medium boundary. By choosing of array elements excitation the field strength within the given area of medium can be substantially increased. This article seeks to describe focusing algorithms as well as to estimate the field strength increasing in comparison with the uniform array utilizing
