    Isomorphic Test Of Newton’s Third Law For Investigating Students’ Scientific And Representational Consistency

    We have developed a set of isomorphic test for investigating scientific and representational consistency in the context of Newton’s Third Law. The test consisted of 30 multiple-choice items concerning five central force contexts: gravitation, electrostatics, magnetic, pushing, and crashing (impulse force). The test items were designed using various representations (i.e., verbal, diagram/vectorial and graphical). Before we conducted try out, test draft was reviewed by two physics content and evaluation experts for knowing appropriateness of concepts and isomorphic aspect of the test. We provide some evidence for analyses of the test based on the classical test theory. The limitation of the test is presented in this paper.     Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning dengan teknik mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar fisika pada siswa kelas VII SMP Labschool UNTAD Palu. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen kuasi dengan desain equivalent pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Labschool UNTAD Palu. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah proposive sampling dengan sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIIa sebagai kelompok eksperimen (n=23) dan kelas VIIb sebagai kelompok kontrol (n=23). Dari analisa data diperoleh bahwa skor rata-rata kelompok eksperimen 14,65 dan skor rata-rata kelompok kontrol yaitu 12,30. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, diperoleh  dan  pada taraf nyata . Hal ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model problem based learning dengan teknik mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar fisika pada siswa kelas VII SMP Laabschool UNTAD Palu

    Pengaruh Pendekatan Scientific Model Discovery Learning pada Materi Gerak Lurus terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas X MA Asadiyah Tolai

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh pendekatan scientific model discovery learning pada materi gerak lurus terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X MA Asadiyah Tolai. Pada kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan dengan menggunakan pendekatan scientific model discovery learning dan kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Berdasarkan hasil tes dari kedua kelas, diperoleh nilai rata-rata dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berturut-turut adalah 6,27 dan 5,75 untuk tes awal, sedangkan untuk tes akhir rata-ratanya adalah 13,58 dan 9,89. Dari hasil analisa data diperoleh nilai sedangkan nilai . Hal ini menunjukan bahwa nilai  berada diluar daerah penerimaan Ho, dengan demikian Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hasil ini menyatakan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara kelas yang diterapkan pendekatan scientific model discovery learning pada materi gerak lurus terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X MA Asadiyah Tolai dengan kelas yang diterapkan model pembelajaran langsung. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pendekatan scientific model discovery learning pada materi gerak lurus terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X MA Asadiyah Tolai

    The cognitive aspect is the main aspect in the educational curriculum and is a benchmark for assessing children's development which refers to the process of knowing as well as to the knowledge itself. This study aims to describe the cognitive abilities of 7th graders of SMP Negeri 19 Palu in learning physics on the topic of heat. This research is a qualitative research with a case study design. Data were obtained through student answer sheets in the form of cognitive ability tests and interviews. Based on the results of the students' cognitive ability tests of achievement at the level of analysis C1, C2 and C3, it shows that the cognitive abilities of students have achieved 54% which was still in the moderate category. The results of the analysis of test data for cognitive aspects of C1 were 74%, for cognitive aspects of C2 were 62%, and for cognitive aspects of C3 were 42%. In other words, the cognitive abilities of 7th grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Palu in learning physics on the topic of heat on each cognitive aspect are significantly different

    The purpose of this study is to describe the motivation and learning outcomes of grade sixth students of SD Inpres 2 Lasoani on science learning through the use of science Kit SEQIP model. The method used is classroom action research method with two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings. The result of the first meeting at the first cycle are that the observation on activity of students scored 68%, are in the category enough, the student's classical absorption rate of 72%, students' classical completeness 47% and student learning motivation 62% are in enough category. The result of the second meeting at the first cycle are that activity of students scored 78%, is in good category, students' classical absorbency 79%, student's 72% classical learning completeness and 75% student learning motivation are in good category. The result of the first meeting at the second cycle are that the observation on activity of students scored 80% value, is in good category, students' absorbency 83%, student 89% classical learning completeness and student learning motivation 82% are in good category. The result of the second meeting at the second cycle are that the observation on activity of students scored 91% value, is in very good category, classical student absorbency 89%, 97% student learning completeness and student learning motivation 92% are in very good category. In conclusion the use of science Kit SEQIP model on science learning can improve the motivation and learning outcomes of students in grade sixth SD Inpres 2 Lasoani

    Analysis of Student's Kinesthetic Activities Against Understanding the Principles of DSSC Work

    This study aims to determine how students 'kinesthetic learning activities on understanding the DSSC work principles and to determine the effect of students' kinesthetic activity processes on understanding the working principles of DSSC at Tadulako University. This research was a descriptive-qualitative study where all data is collected based on facts obtained in the field to produce descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from the people being observed. Respondents involved in this study were 42 students. Data obtained through activity activities, interview comprehension tests, and questionnaires. The results showed that students had been learning kinesthetic activities very well, through kinesthetic activities students became more active students and felt happy. This was reinforced by active discussion, test results where most students got good grades, and interviews. It can be seen that although students' learning styles differ if the kinesthetic learning style was applied, students can easily remember and understand if they do this directly, this was reinforced by a questionnaire. The information obtained by kinesthetic learning styles complements learning styles in addition to kinesthetic. &nbsp

    This research aims to find out the effect of logic concept mastery by cognitive development on physics science learning achievement with a problem-solving approach. The population of subjects was students of class VIII SMP Negeri 16 Palu with purposive sampling technique with a quasi-experimental method based on the results of data analysis can be concluded as follows: 1) oriented learning with a problem-solving approach to learning in the subject matter in class VIII of SMP can light improve student learning outcomes;  2) there was a significant effect between mastery of the concept of cognitive development to the learning outcomes with the value of R= 0.802; 3) the response of the student to the teaching component that includes teaching materials, LKS, practice, and approaches used by the teacher in teaching was happy and interested

    ANALISIS KOHERENSI KONSEP HUKUM NEWTON PADA SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 5 PALU

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis koherensi konsep hukum Newton pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Palu. Subyek penelitian ini terdiri dari 18 orang siswa SMA Negeri 5 Palu Kelas X. Data diperoleh dari tes koherensi konsep hukum Newton dan wawancara langsung. Tes terdiri dari 3 teori dasar hukum Newton yaitu hukum Newton I, hukum Newton II dan hukum Newton III, tiap-tiap hukum terbagi atas 2 tema berbeda dan setiap tema dibuat 3 soal dengan representasi berbeda yaitu representasi verbal, grafik dan diagram sehingga jumlah soal keseluruhan adalah 18 butir soal. Data penelitian dianalisis melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Skor hasil tes kemudian dikelompokan menjadi 3 kategori yaitu kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Masing-masing dari kategori, diambil 2 siswa perwakilan untuk diwawancara guna menggali informasi yang lebih mendalam.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat koherensi konsep hukum Newton siswa menghasilkan rata-rata poin keseluruhan siswa 0,43 dengan poin  tertinggi 0,83 dan terrendah 0,17 yang masih lebih rendah dibawah harapan. Siswa masih lemah dalam menjawab soal tes dengan representasi grafik dan verbal. Perlunya pembiasaan oleh siswa dalam menyelesaikan persoalan dalam suatu konsep fisika dengan menggunakan multi representasi yang beragam guna memperbaiki koherensi konsep yang dimiliki siswa  terutama koherensi representasi.
