    Experts on Resistance to Reorganization of Structure and Technologies of Urban Mobility Provision in Russia: Challenges, Reasons, Solutions and Prospects

    In 2022 a lot has changed in the Russian transport system. Today the urban transport systems of Russian cities are staying at the bifurcation point – they are awaiting serious changes. Therefore, it was interesting to investigate expert opinions of specialists on the prospects of the development of urban mobility provision technologies in Russia and possible changes in the current structure of citizens’ transportation approaches. The paper gives results of the research of opinions of transport market specialists on the issues of the probability of the shift of the current paradigm of transport services in Tyumen (a large Russian city with a population of 828.5 thousand people) and the necessity of reorganization of the structure and technologies of urban mobility provision due to the withdrawal of foreign automakers from the Russian market. The article presents the comparison of opinions between Tyumen professionals in the transport market and ordinary Russian citizens. The main conclusion of the research considers the serious resistance of the public environment to the expected reorganization of the structure and technologies of urban mobility provision in Russia

    Diagnostics of Central and Autonomic Nervous System Dysfunction in Patients with Sepsis-Associated Encephalopathy

    This chapter is devoted to monitoring of central and autonomic nervous system (ANS) in patients with verified sepsis to recognize the specific functional and anatomic changes in the brain and its important autonomic centers which is named sepsis-associated encephalopathy (SAE). Fluctuation of conscience level from agitation to delirium and coma, muscle tone, and severity of pain syndrome is evaluated with different scales (SOFA, SAPS II, RASS, CAM-ICU, FOUR, PBSS, BPS, MRC, MAS, CNS). Multimodal neuromonitoring includes EEG, EPs, ENMG, cerebral oxymetry, saturation in the bulb of the jugular vein, TCD, and neuroimaging (MRI, PET). Dysfunction of autonomic brainstem structures is detected with variational cardiointervalometry, pupillometry, thermometry (peripheral and central), photoplethysmography assessment of perfusion index, quantitative assessment of muscle strength on the MRC scale and MAS, and diagnostics of the severity of the PSH syndrome. Monitoring data help clinicians to make decisions on SAE patient management tactics

    Trends and Patterns of Public Interest to Big Data in International Community

    The issues of analysis of the dynamics of changes in public interest to the topic of Big Data in the world, the US and Russia are considered in the article. A research tool is a regression analysis of Google search analytics on the monthly activity of Internet users in the search for information on this topic. It is shown that, despite the relatively lower level of requests for Big Data in Russia, the growth rate of interest in this topic in Russia is higher than in the US. Phase analysis showed that the process under study is unstable.Las cuestiones de análisis de la dinámica de los cambios de interés público en el tema de Big Data en el mundo, los Estados Unidos y Rusia, se consideran en el artículo. Una herramienta de investigación es un análisis de regresión de Google Search analytics sobre la actividad mensual de los usuarios de Internet en la búsqueda de información sobre este tema. Se muestra que, a pesar del nivel relativamente más bajo de solicitudes de Big Data en Rusia, la tasa de crecimiento del interés en este tema en Rusia es mayor que en los Estados Unidos.     Modeling Asymmetry of a Current–Voltage Curve of a Novel MF-4SC/PTMSP Bilayer Membrane

    A novel bilayer cation-exchange membrane—consisting of a thick layer of a pristine perfluorinated membrane MF-4SC (Russian equivalent of Nafion®-117) and a thinner layer (1 μm) of the membrane, on a base of glassy polymer of internal microporosity poly(1-trimethylsilyl-1-propyne) (PTMSP)—was prepared and characterized. Using the physicochemical characteristics of one-layer membranes MF-4SC and PTMSP in 0.05 M HCl and NaCl solutions, the asymmetric current–voltage curves (CVC) of the bilayer composite were described with good accuracy up to the overlimiting regime, based on the “fine-porous membrane” model. The MF-4SC/PTMSP bilayer composite has a significant asymmetry of CVC that is promising for using it in electromembrane devices, such as membrane detectors, sensors, and diodes

    Rheology of Water-in-Crude Oil Emulsions: Influence of Concentration and Temperature

    The effect of aqueous phase content and temperature North Sea crude oil emulsion viscoelastic behavior has been studied. Heavy crude oil from the North Sea is of high viscosity and is capable of forming stable water-in-crude oil (w/o) emulsions without introducing any synthetic surfactants. The aqueous phase volume content was varied from 1 to 40%, and the temperature was varied from 0 to 30 °C. The w/o emulsion viscosity increased sharply when the aqueous phase content exceeds 20%, being more pronounced at the lower temperatures. The viscosity flow curves for emulsions containing more than 20% aqueous phase demonstrate non-Newtonian behavior, in contrast to crude oil, which is Newtonian. The coefficients in the master curve describing the viscosity-temperature dependence were determined. Oscillatory rheological tests showed that the loss modulus substantially exceeds the storage modulus which indicates the liquid-like state of the emulsions

    Properties of Protein Isolates from Marine Hydrobionts Obtained by Isoelectric Solubilisation/Precipitation: Influence of Temperature and Processing Time

    Protein isolates were obtained from marine hydrobionts by the method of isoelectric precipitation with a preliminary stage of protein alkaline solubilisation. Northern blue whiting was chosen as the raw material. Various technological modes of the solubilisation stage were used: the temperature of the reaction mixture was 4 or 20 °C, and the duration was 4 or 16 h. The yield of the product was 44–45% with a high content of the main component (protein) equal to about 95%. It has been shown that a decrease in the temperature and duration of the alkaline solubilisation stage provides the production of protein isolates with good technological properties, a low solubility, high swelling and high emulsifying ability, necessary for its use in the production of functional food products, including therapeutic and prophylactic effects. These technological properties are explained by a change in the composition and structure of the protein, the change being an increase in the content of essential amino acids and the proportion of α-helices in the polypeptide chain. The main patterns obtained will be used to obtain protein isolates from marine molluscs

    New Representatives of the Class <i>Ignavibacteria</i> Inhabiting Subsurface Aquifers of Yessentuki Mineral Water Deposit

    The Yessentuki mineral water deposit (YMWD) is a well-known source of balneologically valuable drinking mineral water, but it has rarely been investigated in terms of the microbes inhabiting it. In this work, we have studied the microbial communities of the continuously operating production well 9, penetrating the Lower Cretaceous aquifer of the YMWD, and characterized, in detail, two novel representatives of class Ignavibacteria (Bacteroidota). One representative of the so-called XYB12-FULL-38-5 group within the family Melioribacteraceae has been isolated in pure culture, designated strain 09-Me, and physiologically characterized. It is a facultatively anaerobic thermotolerant microorganism capable of fermentation and respiration on simple and complex sugars (lichenan, xanthan gum, glucomannan, curdlan, pachyman). In addition to oxygen, ferric iron, arsenate, and elemental sulfur were also used as electron acceptors. Phylogenomic and physiological analyses reveal this novel isolate to represent a novel genus and species for which the name Stygiobacter electus gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The second representative of the family Melioribacteraceae described here belonged to the so-called DSXH01 group, which comprises the dominant group (up to 28%) of the microbial community of well 9 water. The organism was characterized through the analysis of its genome, assembled from metagenome of well 9 (Ess09-04 MAG). Genes encoding enzymes of carbohydrate utilization and genes responsible for aerobic and anaerobic respiration have been identified in the genomes of both bacteria. The investigation of the environmental distribution of Stygiobacter genus-related bacteria and representatives of the lineage DSXH01 has shown that they all are typical inhabitants of the subsurface biosphere, and are often found in bioreactors. These data significantly expand our knowledge on the microbes of subsurface water basins and pave the way for future studies of the novel members of Ignavibacteria class
