In the paper we will generalize the Slutsky Equation in risk and uncertainty situations using the compensated and uncompensated demand and some local measures of risk aversion. We will obtain a nonlinear optimization problem of maximizing the expected utility; this problem will be solved using the Kuhn-Tucker method. We use the results to analyze the income and substitution effects of price changes on demand in risk and uncertainty conditions.Compensated demand, risk aversion, Slutsky Equation, uncertainty, uncompensated demand

This paper identifies the determinants of trade flows between Colombia and South Korea. For this purpose, the economic and commercial profile for both countries, bilateral trade and the signed FTA were analyzed. Likewise, a gravity model for total and sectorial trade with panel data for the period of 1993-2013 is applied, finding consistencies with the theoretical postulates. Variables such as income of the importer and exporter countries determine positive and significant bilateral trade, while the distance and landlocked decrease the likelihood of trade. Furthermore, the results of the gravity model indicate that the free trade agreements have no significant impact on trade of South Korea; however, from the analysis of the agreement it is considered that Colombian agricultural and agro-industrial products have potential opportunities to compete in the Asian country. &nbsp

In the paper we discuss the optimal labor agreements between workers and firms in the situation of asymmetric information. Using a standard adverse selection model, we analyze the optimality of the labor contracts when it is the firm which has private information affecting the results of the contractual relationship. We propose an alternative procedure to solve the optimization problem, using the informational rents as variables. In the last part of the paper we derive and comment the features of the optimal labor contracts in asymmetric information

A data-driven and risk-based prudential approach to validate the DDMRP planning and control system

In this paper, we study the single-item dynamic lot-sizing problem in an environment characterized by stochastic demand and lead times. A recent heuristic called Demand Driven MRP, widely implemented using modern ERP systems, proposes an algorithm that is will effectively tackle this problem. Our primary goal is to propose a theoretical foundation for such a heuristic approach. To this aim, we develop an optimization model inspired by the main principles behind the heuristic algorithm. Specifically, controls are of the type (s(t), S(t)) with time varying thresholds that react to short-run real orders; in this respect, control is risk-based and data-driven. We also consider service levels derived as tail risk measures to ensure fulfillment of realized demand with a predetermined probability; in this respect, our approach is prudential. Finally, we use our model as a benchmark to theoretically validate and contextualize the aforementioned heuristic

The present research entitled: "learning styles between students of 1st and 10th cycle of psychology of a private university in Trujillo - 2020" aims to establish the differences that exist between the learning styles between students of 1st and 10th cycle of psychology of a private university in Trujillo. The type of substantive research with comparative descriptive design was developed, it was worked with a population made up of a census sample of 100 students, of which 50 belonged to the 1st and 10th cycle, of both sexes, between the ages of 16 and 32, from a private university in Trujillo, for data collection it was used The HoneyAlonso Learning Styles Questionnaire (CHAEA-36), comes to be an instrument abbreviated and adapted in Chile by Fernando Maureira in 2015. The results showed that the differences in the dimensions of the learning styles (active, reflective, theoretical, pragmatic) of students in the 1st and 10th cycle of psychology at a private university in Trujillo - 2020, show highly significant differences with a p value of 0.000 (p <0.01) except for the theoretical dimension. It is concluded that 1st cycle students have a predominance in the active style with 70.50% and in the pragmatic with 29.38%; while 10th cycle students have a predominance in the reflective style with 61.71% and in the theoretical with 53.97%.Tesi

Melt productivity of aluminous anatectic rocks of the central Grenville Province and characterization of potential anatectic granite layers

Partial melting of middle to lower crust plays an important role in the evolution of large hot orogens and is a major source of S-type granites in orogenic crust. However, such granites seem to be scarce in the Mesoproterozoic Grenville Province. This project explores the melt productivity of aluminous anatectic rocks of the central Grenville Province, focusing mainly on metapelites of the Plus Value Complex (PLV; mid-P belt) that were metamorphosed during the Ottawan phase of the Grenvillian orogeny, and on leucocratic layers and scarce granite exposures of potentially anatectic origin. The mineral assemblage of the PLV metapelites is consistent with the biotite dehydration melting reaction: biotite + Al-silicate ± plagioclase + quartz = garnet + K-feldspar + melt, and its good preservation is suggestive of significant melt loss during prograde metamorphism. Based on phase equilibria modelling, maximum P–T conditions of about ~10.6–10.7 kb and 860–903 °C, and moderate gradient P–T paths, are inferred. Additionally, phase equilibria modelling predicts that the rocks produced up to 45% of melt with ~ 6–8% having remained in situ. With increasing T the modelled melts show a general increase in K₂O and decrease in Na₂O, an evolution from granodioritic to monzogranitic compositions, and an increase in peraluminosity. Broadly similar trends are also observed in modelled melts using other types of mid-P aluminous rocks from the wider area, and high-P rocks from structurally lower levels. On the other hand, leucocratic layers associated with the PLV metapelites and the granite exposures have minor amounts of garnet, biotite, and (in some cases), sillimanite, and are peraluminous and monzogranites. Monazite in the PLV granites show morphologies and chemical patterns ranging from complex, consistent with several episodes of growth and resorption, to simple, and provide evidence for growth (of part of the monazites, at least) in the presence of melt. Dominant ²⁰⁶Pb/²³⁸U monazite ages range from 1062 ± 17 to 1033 ± 10 Ma and are similar to those of the metamorphic ages of the PLV aluminous rocks (1080 – 1040 Ma) reported from the literature. Even though processes such as mixing of melts, fractional crystallization and wall-rock contamination are not assessed, the PLV granites seem to be related to the PLV aluminous rocks. They most likely represent melts produced by the biotite melting reaction and could be the first documented S-type granites of Ottawan age in the central Grenville Province
