    CONSTRUCTION VERIFICATION OF UNDER-BEARING ARCH BRIDGE BASED ON CONSTRUCTION MONITORING AND TEST

    In this paper, a bottom-bearing arch bridge is taken as an example to carry out the bridge construction monitoring and load tests. In order to ensure the safety of the arch bridge structure in construction and reach the internal force state of the bridge, in the construction monitoring, the construction process of the main girder type and stress, construction error and safety state is monitored. At the same time, in order to verify whether the bridge can meet the design requirements, static and dynamic load tests are carried out after the bridge is completed. The results of construction monitoring show that the stress state of the structure during the construction process is basically consistent with the theoretical calculation and design requirements, and both meet the design and code requirements. The final measured stress state of the structure is within the allowable range of the beam and arch composite bridge, and the stress state of the structure is normal and meets the code requirements. The results of load test show that the measured deflection values of the middle section of the main girder of the test hole are all less than the theoretical calculation values, and the deflection is between 1.54~3.40 mm, indicating that the bearing capacity of the structure meets the design requirements. In addition, under the four working conditions, the measured values of the transverse strain of the main girder are all less than the theoretical values, and the values are all positive. The stress at the measured points is in the tensile state, which meets the design requirements, indicating that the structure has a good elastic recovery ability after unloading. This study can provide important reference value for the construction and design of the same kind of under-bearing arch bridge

    Survival analysis of patients with invasive extramammary Paget disease: implications of anatomic sites

    Abstract Background Extramammary Paget disease (EMPD) is a rare malignant dermatosis with poorly defined outcomes. We investigated clinical characteristics of invasive EMPD at different anatomic sites and by subject demographics to determine prognostic factors for overall survival (OS). Methods All patient data were collected from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) program, 1973–2013, of the U.S. National Cancer Institute. Patients with invasive EMPD of skin, vulva/labia, vagina, scrotum/penis, or other sites were included. After excluding patients with unknown radiation status, data of 2001 patients were analyzed. Primary endpoint was EMPD mortality by anatomic sites. Independent variables included patients’ demographic data, concurrent malignancy (ie, non-EMPD related cancers), tumor size, distant metastasis, and surgery and/or radiation or not. Results Multivariate regression analysis showed that mortality was significantly higher in patients with vaginal EMPD than in patients with vulvar/labial EMPD (adjusted hazard ratio [aHR] = 3.26, p < 0.001). Patients with distant metastasis had higher mortality than those without (aHR = 3.36, p < 0.001). Patients who received surgery had significantly lower mortality than those who did not receive surgery (aHR = 0.77, p = 0.030), and those treated with radiation had significantly higher mortality than those who did not receive radiation (aHR = 1.60, p = 0.002). Older age was associated with significantly increased mortality (aHR = 1.09, p < 0.001), and mortality was significantly higher in males than in females (aHR = 1.42, p = 0.008). Conclusions In conclusion, among EMPD patients, mortality is higher in patients with vaginal EMPD than in those with vulvar/labial EMPD and higher in those who are older, those with concurrent malignancy or distant metastasis. Mortality is also higher in males than in females. Surgery is a protective factor and radiation is a risk factor for OS. Greater understanding of EMPD clinical characteristics, and considering EMPD in differential diagnosis of chronic genital and perianal dermatoses may provide support for early EMPD diagnosis and definitive surgical treatment

    Influence of Surface Tension on Dynamic Characteristics of Single Bubble in Free-Field Exposed to Ultrasound

    The motion of bubbles in an ultrasonic field is a fundamental physical mechanism in most applications of acoustic cavitation. In these applications, surface-active solutes, which could lower the surface tension of the liquid, are always utilized to improve efficiency by reducing the cavitation threshold. This paper examines the influence of liquids&rsquo; surface tension on single micro-bubbles motion in an ultrasonic field. A novel experimental system based on high-speed photography has been designed to investigate the temporary evolution of a single bubble in the free-field exposed to a 20.43 kHz ultrasound in liquids with different surface tensions. In addition, the R-P equations in the liquid with different surface tension are solved. It is found that the influences of the surface tension on the bubble dynamics are obvious, which reflect on the changes in the maximum size and speed of the bubble margin during bubble oscillating, as well as the weaker stability of the bubble in the liquid with low surface tension, especially for the oscillating bubble with higher speed. These effects of the surface tension on the bubble dynamics can explain the mechanism of surfactants for promoting acoustic cavitation in numerous application fields

    Database Resources of the National Genomics Data Center, China National Center for Bioinformation in 2021

    The National Genomics Data Center (NGDC), part of the China National Center for Bioinformation (CNCB), provides a suite of database resources to support worldwide research activities in both academia and industry. With the explosive growth of multiomics data, CNCB-NGDC is continually expanding, updating and enriching its core database resources through big data deposition, integration and translation. In the past year, considerable efforts have been devoted to 2019nCoVR, a newly established resource providing a global landscape of SARS-CoV-2 genomic sequences, variants, and haplotypes, as well as Aging Atlas, BrainBase, GTDB (Glycosyltransferases Database), LncExpDB, and TransCirc (Translation potential for circular RNAs). Meanwhile, a series of resources have been updated and improved, including BioProject, BioSample, GWH (Genome Warehouse), GVM (Genome Variation Map), GEN (Gene Expression Nebulas) as well as several biodiversity and plant resources. Particularly, BIG Search, a scalable, one-stop, cross-database search engine, has been significantly updated by providing easy access to a large number of internal and external biological resources from CNCB-NGDC, our partners, EBI and NCBI. All of these resources along with their services are publicly accessible at https://bigd.big.ac.cn
