Grundlegende Untersuchungen zum Einsatz textiler Sonnenschutzmittel zur aktiven Nutzung von Solarenergie Schlussbericht

Already known preventives against solar radiation serve for the control of the supply of solar energy in the range of glazed areas. Partly they act as a temporary heat protection and do not actively contribute to the energy generation. The purpose of the research project was the utilization of the hitherto shielded energy by novel textile structures. By the incorporation of thin absorbing hoses in the textile preventives against solar radiation these hitherto passively acting shading facilities can be 'activated' for the utilization of solar energy. The alternate use of the new blind or curtain-like solar absorber as a large-area low-temperature heating enables the multifunctional utilization of the textile structure whereby a technical-economically interesting system configuration as shade-utilization of solar energy-heating-temporary heat protection is possible. On the basis of performed application-oriented thermodynamic and hydraulic investigations as well as model computations the possible 'energy yields' can be estimated and the thermal and hydraulic response of the system can be described. RF PERFORMANCE RESULTS OF THE 2 ELBE SRF GUN

Abstract An improved SRF gun (ELBE SRF Gun II) has been installed and commissioned at HZDR. This new gun replaced the first SRF gun of the ELBE accelerator which had been in operation since 2007. The new gun has an improved 3.5-cell niobium cavity those SRF performances have been studied first with a copper cathode. After the replacement by our standard Cs 2 Tecathode we observed a tremendous degradation of the cavity gradient paired with an increase of field emission. In this contribution we will report on our in-situ investigations to find the origin and the reason for the particle contamination that happened during the first cathode transfer
