The final publication is available at Springer via http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-319-21151-0_2The Cloud Modelling Framework (CloudMF) is an approach to apply model-driven engineering principles to the specification and execution of cloud-based applications. It comprises a domain-specific language to model the deployment topology of multi-cloud applications, along with a models@run-time environment to facilitate reasoning and adaptation of these applications at run-time. This paper reports on some challenges encountered during the design of CloudMF, related to the adoption of the two-level modelling approach and especially the type-instance pattern. Moreover, it proposes the adoption of an alternative, multi-level modelling approach to tackle these challenges, and provides a set of criteria to compare both approaches. The research leading to these results has received funding from the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement numbers 317715 (PaaSage), 318392 (Broker@Cloud), and 611125 (MONDO), the Spanish Ministry under project Go Lite (TIN2011-24139), and the Madrid Region under project SICOMORO (S2013/ICE-3006)

Ludo: A Case Study for Graph Transformation Tools

In this paper we describe the Ludo case, one of the case studies of the AGTIVE 2007 Tool Contest (see [22]). After summarising the case description, we give an overview of the submitted solutions. In particular, we propose a number of dimensions along which choices had to be made when solving the case, essentially setting up a solution space; we then plot the spectrum of solutions actually encountered into this solution space. In addition, there is a brief description of the special features of each of the submissions, to do justice to those aspects that are not distinguished in the general solution space

Fish farming in cages is one of the most effective ways to expand the aquaculture. The chain of fish in recent years has been seeking to standardize the products with a focus on consumer sensory evaluation. The aim of this study was to measure the tenderness and color cachara fillets in different densities relating them to the intrinsic characteristics of the fish. To this end, has used different densities and measured the shear-force, color, water holding capacity, the composition and pH. There were no significant differences between treatments for the variables. By correlating the parameters analyzed between them was possible to observe a positive association between water-holding capacity and pH. The chemical composition was different from the results cacharas of nature, which showed a higher amount of fat, a difference possibly related to diet and time of capture. Several factors may alter the quality attributes of fish from a consumer perspective, however, the conditions described, the density was not one of them. The cultivation of native fish in cages may be an alternative to increasing the supply of protein, however, more research considering other parameters of importance to consumers and for livestock production must be conducted in an integrated and multidisciplinary

The final publication is available at Springer via http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-31491-9_20Proceedings of 8th European Conference, ECMFA 2012, Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark, July 2-5, 2012Domain-specific modelling languages are normally defined through general-purpose meta-modelling languages like the MOF. While this is satisfactory for many Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) projects, several researchers have identified the need for domain-specific meta-modelling (DSMM) languages providing customised meta-modelling primitives aimed at the definition of modelling languages in a specific domain, as well as the construction of meta-model families. In this paper, we discuss the potential of multi-level meta-modelling for the systematic engineering of DSMM architectures. For this purpose, we present: (i) several primitives and techniques to control the meta-modelling facilities offered to the users of the DSMM languages, (ii) a flexible approach to define textual concrete syntaxes for DSMM languages, (iii) extensions to model management languages enabling the practical use of DSMM in MDE, and (iv) an implementation of these ideas in the metaDepth tool. This work was funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitivity (project “Go Lite” TIN2011-24139) and the R&D programme of the Madrid Region (project “e-Madrid” S2009/TIC-1650

Exact, Born–Oppenheimer, and quantum-chemistry-like calculations in helium clusters doped with light molecules: The He2N2(X) system

9 pages, 2 figures, 4 tables.-- PACS nrs.: 34.20.-b; 31.50.-x; 31.15.A-; 33.15.Mt; 33.20.Vq; 36.40.-c.Helium clusters doped with diatomic molecules, He(N)–BC, have been recently studied by means of a quantum-chemistry-like approach. The model treats He atoms as “electrons” and dopants as “nuclei” in standard electronic structure calculations. Due to the large mass difference between He atoms and electrons, and to the replacement of Coulomb interactions by intermolecular potentials, it is worth assessing up to what extent are the approximations involved in this model, i.e., decoupling of the BC rotation from the He-atom orbital angular momenta and Born–Oppenheimer separation of the BC stretch versus the He motions, accurate enough. These issues have been previously tackled elsewhere for the 4He2–Br2(X) system, which contains a heavy dopant [Roncero et al., Int. J. Quantum Chem. 107, 2756 (2007)]. Here, we consider a similar cluster but with a much lighter dopant such as N2(X). Although the model does not provide the correct energy levels for the cluster, positions and intensities of the main detectable lines of the vibrotational Raman spectrum at low temperature are accurately reproduced. This work has been partially supported by the DGICYT Spanish Grant Nos. A demanda por produtos com maior conveniência de preparo aumentou e muitas indústrias têm mostrado interesse em desenvolver novos produtos à base de peixe, como empanados e patês. O objetivo deste trabalho foi adequar uma formulação de empanados e patê usando a carne mecanicamente separada (CMS), tendo como base a formulação usada para a carne de tilápia para estes dois tipos de processados cárneos. The demand for products with convenience of preparation increased and many industries have shown interest in developing new products based on fish as breaded and pates. The aim was to adapt a formulation of breaded and pate using mechanically deboned meat (CMS), based on the formulation used minced of tilapia for these two types of processed products
