    Inteligencia emocional y aprendizaje colaborativo en estudiantes del VI ciclo de la EBR de la institucion educativa Julio C. Tello – Hualmay,2022

    El estudio tuvo como propósito asociar las categorías, Inteligencia emocional con aprendizaje colaborativo en alumnos de la I.E. Julio C. Tello – Hualmay,2022, por lo que se desarrolló una investigación de nivel relacional con diseño no experimental en base a un enfoque cuantitativo, la unidad de estudio estuvo conformada por 90 estudiantes quienes respondieron al test de Baron para medir inteligencia emocional y el cuestionario Likert para el aprendizaje colaborativo. Los resultados registraron un coeficiente de 0,469 y una significancia<0,05 evidenciándose la asociación moderada entre las variables de estudio siendo esta relación de moderada intensidad. Asimismo, se muestra el valor de relación de 0,425, evidenciándose que hay correlación entre la inteligencia intrapersonal y el aprendizaje colaborativo, así también se denota el valor de relación r= 0,323 con la cual se demuestra vínculo entre inteligencia interpersonal y el aprendizaje colaborativo. Tambien se halló correlación en la tercera hipótesis especifica el valor fue de de r= 0,363, ello explica que hay vinculo de baja intensidad entre la adaptabilidad y el aprendizaje colaborativo, finalmente se obtuvo el valor de relación r= 0,473 al contrastar la cuarta hipótesis especifica confirmándose el vínculo entre el manejo del estrés y el aprendizaje colaborativ

    An innovative model using Promotores or Community Health Workers for home based dementia care

    Background: Health disparities and issues with trust building and relationship building are prominent in Hispanic and underserved populations in south Texas. Community health workers can play a bridging role with underserved communities and may be essential in improving the quality and value of health care. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission certifies the training Community Health Workers under the label of “promotores”. Method: Community health workers were integrated into the primary health care team to serve as a bridge between patient/caregiver dyads and the health care team. Result: Community health workers (CHWs) connected patients to social determinants of health resources such as transportation, food pantries and/or social benefits, Medicaid services, and home care provider services. Caregiver education and resources for respite care, caregiver support in person and virtually. Additionally, CHW\u27s provided education on dementia care resources, caregiver support, recruiting and engaging Hispanic underserve participants in research. Our team was able to increase home visits by 229% to homebound patients throughout several underserved zip codes in Bexar County. This is a success as our team was able to increase health care access to persons with dementia that are homebound that may have not been seen by a healthcare provider until they required emergency care. In fact, we saw roughly 11% decrease of inpatient admissions between 2021 and 2022. Conclusion: Trust and familiarity allows the promotores to easily communicate interventions with cultural sensitivity and experiential knowledge of community values, leading to foster rapport with patients and families. The rapport and trust developed with the patients also helped to engage, and recruit Hispanic and underserved participants for research in dementia

    Training in eight low-and middle-income countries: lessons learned from a pilot study using the WHO-TDR dissemination and implementation massive open online course

    IntroductionNon-communicable diseases (NCDs) are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in low-and middle- income countries (LMICs). Despite this, a lack of funding, training and mentorship for NCD investigators in LMICs exists. In an effort to gain knowledge and skills to address these gaps, participants from the Global Research on Implementation and Translation Science (GRIT), a consortium of studies in eight LMICs and their networks, attended the dissemination and implementation (D&amp;I) massive open online course (MOOC) developed by the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases at the World Health Organization to strengthen D&amp;I capacity building. Here, we report on the pilot of this MOOC, which was implemented during the SARS COVID-19 pandemic from April- November 2020.MethodsParticipants completed pre-and post-training questionnaires to assess self-reported D&amp;I competencies, general research skills, and research mentor access and quality. D&amp;I competencies were measured by use of a scale developed for a US-based training program, with change in competency scores assessed by paired t test. We used univariate statistics to analyze the data for all other outcomes.ResultsOf the 247 participants enrolled, 32 (13%) completed all course requirements, 21 (9%) completed the pre-and post-surveys and are included in the analysis. D&amp;I competency scores suggest improvement for those who had complete pre- and post-assessments. Trainee's average score on the full competency scale improved 1.45 points (0–5 scale) from pre- to post-test; all four subscales also showed evidence of improvements. There were small but not significant increases in competencies for grant writing, proposal/ manuscript writing and presentations from pre- to post-test assessment. 40% of trainees reported access to a research mentor and 12% reported access to a D&amp;I specific mentor. Participants reported barriers (e.g., unstable internet access and challenges due to COVID-19) and facilitators (e.g., topical interests, collaboration with colleagues) to completing the MOOC.ConclusionsAlthough COVID-19 affected program usage and completion, the MOOC was feasible. We also had signals of effectiveness, meaning among LMIC participants completing the course, there was improvement in self-report D&amp;I competency scores. Recommendations for future D&amp;I trainings in LMICs include (1) adding more topic specific modules (i.e., NCD research, general research skills) for scalability; (2) fostering more collaboration with participants across LMICs; and (3) establishing partnerships with D&amp;I mentors for course participants

    A lo largo de la historia se ha evidenciado que el rol del “niño” ha sido invisibilizado por los adultos desde la época de griegos, romanos, Espartanos, que ha empezado a verse el niño como un ente forma parte importante de una familia que debe ser educado a partir de la Baja Edad Media. La educación de los niños no era solo parte de las familias quienes los formaban en valores morales, religiosos y sobre las labores de su familia, sino que en su momento era la iglesia quien educaba a los niños y sus familias. Lo cual se presume que los padres sentían orgullo de entregar a sus hijos a los monasterios para que estos fueran educados en ese lugar. Siendo Colombia un país religioso puede que hayan presentado estos mismos patrones, en los que las familias entregan a su primogénito o su hija a manos de la iglesia para ser educados por el clero, pero como es que surgieron o en qué momento es que existe la educación o las escuelas como las conocemos, ello surge a través de la lucha que se presenta entre los partidos políticos de la época (librearles y conservadores), quienes no solo indican que los hijos deben ser educados en instituciones y que la educación debe ser para todos, sino que también intentan la creación de escuelas públicas y privadas con libertad de enseñanza de culto. Desde este punto se habla de pedagogía de sus leyes y maneras de enseñanza según el tipo de escuela, desde aquí parte la pregunta de cuál fue el desarrollo de la pedagogía en esos cinco años de nuestra historia y tan importantes para la fundamentación de lo que hoy conocemos como escuelas públicas y privadas y que dictar en cada una de ellas.Throughout history it has been shown that the role of the "child" has been invisible by adults since the time of Greeks, Romans, Spartans, who has begun to see the child as an entity is an important part of a family that should Be educated from the late Middle Ages.     PeruNPDB: the Peruvian Natural Products Database for in silico drug screening

    Abstract Since the number of drugs based on natural products (NPs) represents a large source of novel pharmacological entities, NPs have acquired significance in drug discovery. Peru is considered a megadiverse country with many endemic species of plants, terrestrial, and marine animals, and microorganisms. NPs databases have a major impact on drug discovery development. For this reason, several countries such as Mexico, Brazil, India, and China have initiatives to assemble and maintain NPs databases that are representative of their diversity and ethnopharmacological usage. We describe the assembly, curation, and chemoinformatic evaluation of the content and coverage in chemical space, as well as the physicochemical attributes and chemical diversity of the initial version of the Peruvian Natural Products Database (PeruNPDB), which contains 280 natural products. Access to PeruNPDB is available for free ( https://perunpdb.com.pe/ ). The PeruNPDB’s collection is intended to be used in a variety of tasks, such as virtual screening campaigns against various disease targets or biological endpoints. This emphasizes the significance of biodiversity protection both directly and indirectly on human health
