Preclinical differential diagnostics of anorexia nervosa and dissociative food refusal: the rating scale
In order to develop the rating scale for preclinical differential diagnostics of anorexia nervosa and dissociative food refusal, a retrospective study of two groups of patients with established diagnoses of anorexia nervosa (21 patients) and «mixed (conversion) dissociative disorder» with refusal to eat (23 female patients) were examined. As a result, the express-test for the differential diagnosis of anorexia nervosa and dissociative disorders with the refusal of food was developed, it can be used in the first contact of the patient and the doctor
Hyperfine frequency shift in two-dimensional atomic hydrogen
We propose the explanation of a surprisingly small hyperfine frequency shift
in the two-dimensional (2D) atomic hydrogen bound to the surface of superfluid
helium below 0.1 K. Owing to the symmetry considerations, the microwave-induced
triplet-singlet transitions of atomic pairs in the fully spin-polarized sample
are forbidden. The apparent nonzero shift is associated with the
density-dependent wall shift of the hyperfine constant and the pressure shift
due to the presence of H atoms in the hyperfine state not involved in the
observed transition. The interaction of adsorbed atoms with one
another effectively decreases the binding energy and, consequently, the wall
shift by the amount proportional to their density. The pressure shift of the
resonance comes from the fact that the impurity -state atoms
interact differently with the initial -state and final -state atoms and
is also linear in density. The net effect of the two contributions, both
specific for 2D hydrogen, is comparable with the experimental observation. To
our knowledge, this is the first mentioning of the density-dependent wall
shift. We also show that the difference between the triplet and singlet
scattering lengths of H atoms, pm, is exactly twice smaller
than the value reported by Ahokas {\it et al.}, Phys. Rev. Lett. {\bf101},

Metallic and insulating behaviour of the two-dimensional electron gas on a vicinal surface of Si MOSFETs
The resistance R of the 2DEG on the vicinal Si surface shows an unusual
behaviour, which is very different from that in the (100) Si MOSFET where an
unconventional metal to insulator transition has been reported. The crossover
from the insulator with dR/dT0 occurs at a low
resistance of R_{\Box}^c \sim 0.04h/e^2. At the low-temperature transition,
which we attribute to the existence of a narrow impurity band at the interface,
a distinct hysteresis in the resistance is detected. At higher temperatures,
another change in the sign of dR/dT is seen and related to the crossover from
the degenerate to non-degenerate 2DEG.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure
Shot Noise in Mesoscopic Transport Through Localised States
We show that shot noise can be used for studies of hopping and resonant
tunnelling between localised electron states. In hopping via several states,
shot noise is seen to be suppressed compared with its classical Poisson value
( is the average current) and the suppression depends on the
distribution of the barriers between the localised states. In resonant
tunnelling through a single impurity an enhancement of shot noise is observed.
It has been established, both theoretically and experimentally, that a
considerable increase of noise occurs due to Coulomb interaction between two
resonant tunnelling channels.Comment: 7 pages, 5 figures; Proceedings of the 10th Conference on Hopping and

A Constructive Beginning in Peasant Protest: “Red Army of Truth” in Buzuluk (July 1920)
The question of the content of the insurrectionary protest of the 1920s is considered. The relevance of the study is due to the tendency in historiography to develop any speech of this period in two directions: analysis of program and campaign documents and understanding of the process of suppressing protest. It is proposed to highlight the aspect of the implementation of program provisions for assessing the constructive beginning in the protest movement: how realizable were the programs of the rebels, and also how the rebels managed to implement their plans. Particular attention is paid to the performance of the “Red Army of Truth” in the summer of 1920, which the author defines as “communist” and pro-Soviet. The results of a comparative analysis of sources, which by their origin are related to the insurgent environment, and real actions of the insurgents are presented in the article. The novelty of the study is seen in the fact that the analysis of the actions of the insurgents is carried out without regard to the stereotypes existing in historiography and with the attraction of new facts from previously closed sources. A significant part of the plans and slogans of the “Army of Truth” were implemented in the controlled territory, which testifies to their realism. This allows us to question the well-established thesis that at that time the communist leaders in the center offered the only correct option for building a new Soviet state
TECTONIC STRESS FIELD AT INTERMEDIATE DEPTHS OF THE SOUTHERN FLANK OF THE KURIL-KAMCHATKA SEISMIC ZONE
The study has been done on the orientation of the principal axes of tectonic stress field at intermediate depths of earthquakes of the southern flank of the Kuril-Kamchatka subduction system separately for the upper and lower double seismic focal zones. Use has been made of the NIED and GlobalCMT catalogue data. The computation-based results are presented on schemes of the stressed state of the investigated areas and in tables. In the context of the southern Kuril Islands, evidence has been provided for predominance of the maximum compressive stresses along the slab plane in the upper layer and minimal compressive stresses (deviation extension) in the lower layer. However, the principal axes of maximum and minimum compression are displaced in direction relative to the slab dip: by 30–40° counterclockwise for the compression axis in the upper layer, which coincides with the direction of plate movement, and clockwise for the extension axis in the lower layer. This might be caused by the right-lateral strike-slip component of the Pacific Plate subduction. Unlike the general trend, the orientation of the principal axes of the stress field beneath the central Hokkaido-related segments in the upper layer is almost identical to that in the lower layer. There have also been found the segments exposed to shear stress, with the most extensive located opposite the northern Kunashir Island and beneath the southern Hokkaido Island. The results obtained for major large groups of clusters show good accordance with those published by other authors. The discrepancies relate primarily to small groups of isolated clusters showing local stress field heterogeneities
Fluctuation-dissipation considerations and damping models for ferromagnetic materials
The role of fluctuation-dissipation relations (theorems) for the
magnetization dynamics with Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert and Bloch-Bloembergen
damping terms are discussed. We demonstrate that the use of the Callen-Welton
fluctuation-dissipation theorem that was proven for Hamiltonian systems can
give an inconsistent result for magnetic systems with dissipation
