Interval type‑2 fuzzy aggregation operator in decision making and its application
Type-2 fuzzy sets (T2FSs) can deal with higher modeling and uncertainties which exist in the real-world application, specifically
in the control systems. Particularly the climate changes are always uncertain and thus, the type-2 fuzzy controller is an
effective system to handle those situations. Polyhouse is a methodology used to cultivate the plants. It breaks the seasonal
hurdle of the formulation and it is also suitable for the conflictive climate conditions. Controlling and directing internal
parameters of the polyhouse play an essential role in the growth of the plant. Among those, humidity is an important element
when one deals with the growth of the plant in polyhouse. It affects the weather, as well as the global change of the climate
and hence, the inner climate of the polyhouse will be disturbed. In this paper, operational laws for triangular interval type-2
fuzzy numbers and derived triangular interval type-2 weighted geometric (TIT2WG) operator with their desired mathematical
properties using Dombi triangular norms. Also, humidity control is analyzed using interval type-2 fuzzy controller (IT2FC)
with the use of derived aggregation operator which is the aim of the paper. Further stability of the system has been analyzed
by applying four different defuzzification methods and the method is recommended which gives a better response
Nanoscale magnetometry using a single spin system in diamond
We propose a protocol to estimate magnetic fields using a single
nitrogen-vacancy (N-V) center in diamond, where the estimate precision scales
inversely with time, ~1/T$, rather than the square-root of time. The method is
based on converting the task of magnetometry into phase estimation, performing
quantum phase estimation on a single N-V nuclear spin using either adaptive or
nonadaptive feedback control, and the recently demonstrated capability to
perform single-shot readout within the N-V [P. Neumann et. al., Science 329,
542 (2010)]. We present numerical simulations to show that our method provides
an estimate whose precision scales close to ~1/T (T is the total estimation
time), and moreover will give an unambiguous estimate of the static magnetic
field experienced by the N-V. By combining this protocol with recent proposals
for scanning magnetometry using an N-V, our protocol will provide a significant
decrease in signal acquisition time while providing an unambiguous spatial map

A remark on "Study of a Leslie-Gower-type tritrophic population model" [Chaos, Solitons and Fractals 14 (2002) 1275-1293]
In [Aziz-Alaoui, 2002] a three species ODE model, based on a modified
Leslie-Gower scheme is investigated. It is shown that under certain
restrictions on the parameter space, the model has bounded solutions for all
positive initial conditions, which eventually enter an invariant attracting
set. We show that this is not true. To the contrary, solutions to the model can
blow up in finite time, even under the restrictions derived in [Aziz-Alaoui,
2002], if the initial data is large enough. We also prove similar results for
the spatially extended system. We validate all of our results via numerical

Electron-phonon coupling and superconductivity-induced distortion of the phonon lineshape in VSi
Phonon measurements in the A15-type superconductors were complicated in the
past because of the unavailability of large single crystals for inelastic
neutron scattering, e.g., in the case of NbSn, or unfavorable neutron
scattering properties in the case of VSi. Hence, only few studies of the
lattice dynamical properties with momentum resolved methods were published, in
particular below the superconducting transition temperature . Here, we
overcome these problems by employing inelastic x-ray scattering and report a
combined experimental and theoretical investigation of lattice dynamics in
VSi with the focus on the temperature-dependent properties of low-energy
acoustic phonon modes in several high-symmetry directions. We paid particular
attention to the evolution of the soft phonon mode of the structural phase
transition observed in our sample at , i.e., just above the
measured superconducting phase transition at . Theoretically,
we predict lattice dynamics including electron-phonon coupling based on
density-functional-perturbation theory and discuss the relevance of the soft
phonon mode with regard to the value of . Furthermore, we explain
superconductivityinduced anomalies in the lineshape of several acoustic phonon
modes using a model proposed by Allen et al., [Phys. Rev. B 56, 5552 (1997)]
A Decidable Confluence Test for Cognitive Models in ACT-R
Computational cognitive modeling investigates human cognition by building
detailed computational models for cognitive processes. Adaptive Control of
Thought - Rational (ACT-R) is a rule-based cognitive architecture that offers a
widely employed framework to build such models. There is a sound and complete
embedding of ACT-R in Constraint Handling Rules (CHR). Therefore analysis
techniques from CHR can be used to reason about computational properties of
ACT-R models. For example, confluence is the property that a program yields the
same result for the same input regardless of the rules that are applied.
In ACT-R models, there are often cognitive processes that should always yield
the same result while others e.g. implement strategies to solve a problem that
could yield different results. In this paper, a decidable confluence criterion
for ACT-R is presented. It allows to identify ACT-R rules that are not
confluent. Thereby, the modeler can check if his model has the desired
behavior.
The sound and complete translation of ACT-R to CHR from prior work is used to
come up with a suitable invariant-based confluence criterion from the CHR
literature. Proper invariants for translated ACT-R models are identified and
proven to be decidable. The presented method coincides with confluence of the

Biotin Supplementation Ameliorates Murine Colitis by Preventing NF-κB Activation.
Background & aimsBiotin is a water-soluble vitamin that is indispensable for human health. Biotin deficiency can cause failure-to-thrive, immunodeficiency, alopecia, dermatitis, and conjunctivitis. We previously reported that biotin deficiency also can lead to severe colitis in mice, which is completely reversed with supplementation. Our aim in this study was to determine if high-dose biotin supplementation can provide a therapeutic benefit in a preclinical model for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and to identify the molecular mechanism by which this occurs.MethodsMice were challenged with dextran sodium sulfate to induce colitis and were treated with 1 mmol/L biotin to induce or maintain remission. Clinical response was monitored by the Disease Activity Index and fecal calprotectin levels. The colon tissue was investigated for histology, length, as well as expression of inflammatory cytokines (interleukin 6, tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin 1β), intestinal permeability, tight junctions (zonula occludens-1 and claudin-2), and the transcription factor nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB).ResultsBiotin therapy led to delayed onset and severity of colitis as well as accelerated healing. There was improvement in the Disease Activity Index, fecal calprotectin levels, colon length, and histology. In addition, biotin-treated mice had reduced expression of inflammatory cytokines, reduced intestinal permeability, and reduced activation of NF-κB.ConclusionsOral supplementation with biotin provides benefit for maintenance and induction of remission in the dextran sodium sulfate preclinical model for IBD. Biotin does this by reducing the activation of NF-κB, which prevents the production of inflammatory cytokines and helps maintain the integrity of the intestinal barrier. Clinically, the NF-κB pathway is important in the development of IBD and this finding suggests that biotin may have therapeutic potential for patients with IBD

Any motor vehicle that uses the engine and oil as the driving source is the cause of the air pollution that comes from combustion imperfect issued in the form of exhaust emissions kendaraan.Memberikan description of the relationship of traffic on the roads in a region, the problems it causes, namely air pollution such as vehicle exhaust emissions in comparison to other areas in the city of Pontianak. Examines several types of air pollution caused by vehicle exhaust emissions which occurred on Jalan Sultan Abdurahman Pontianak. In this study used the method of observation, by analyzing the high percentage of the amount of emissions that occur in Jalan Sultan Abudrahman and analysis of vehicle exhaust emissions as sources and types of air pollutants, according existing emission standard and set. In this study during peak hours occur significant air pollution is at 32.88 NO2, SO2 amounted to 37.65, O3 for 1931 and Dust of 632. The density of vehicles influence of air pollution on roads Sultan Abdurahman, while the degree of saturation at peak hours of 0.46 at 12:15 to 13:15. The more dense then the vehicle will be high air pollution ditimbulkan.Tingkat exhaust emissions on the road during hours of peak Sultan Abdurahman is enormous NO2 mg / m³ of 32.88 g / m³, SO2 amounted to 37.65 g / m³, O3 at 1931 mg / m³ and Dust by 632 mg / m³
