15N NMR study of a mixture of uniformly labeled tRNAs

15N NMR spectra were taken of 15N-enriched tRNA extracted from bakers yeast; ammonium sulfate was used as a nitrogen source. The increase in the degree of denaturation of tRNA, which occurs with increase in temperature from 30 degrees C to 70 degrees C, resulted in no large changes in 15N chemical shifts at acidic and neutral pH but quite pronounced changes in proton-15N nuclear Overhauser effects

The primary purpose of this study was to examine integrated marketing communication techniques used to develop successful apparel brands. This author researched existing data and explored the IMC development of three successful brand apparel companies: Nike, Ralph Lauren Polo, and Tommy Hilfiger. The study included the process of building brand identity, including the tenets of brand management and the symbolic process, as well as the significance of brand equity and architecture. This author conducted a pen and paper quantitative survey to a random sampling of 50 Cumberland County College undergraduate students concerning the influential factors in their choice of brand selection. The data was categorized and tabulated in percentages by age into two groups, 18-25 and 26+. This author conducted two focus groups consisting of 10 students from the 18-25 age group and 10 students from the 26+ age group. The quantitative and qualitative results indicated that the respondents were very influenced by integrated brand marketing techniques in the selection of apparel items

A New Embedded Measurement Structure for eDRAM Capacitor

    No full text
Submitted on behalf of EDAA (http://www.edaa.com/)International audienceThe embedded DRAM (eDRAM) is more and more used in System On Chip (SOC). The integration of the DRAM capacitor process into a logic process is challenging to get satisfactory yields. The specific process of DRAM capacitor and the low capacitance value (~30F) of this device induce problems of process monitoring and failure analysis. We propose a new test structure to measure the capacitance value of each DRAM cell capacitor in a DRAM array. This concept has been validated by simulation on a 0.18µm eDRAM technology

The Unitary Executive during the Third Half-Century, 1889-1945

Recent Supreme Court decisions and the impeachment of President Clinton has reinvigorated the debate over Congress\u27s authority to employ devices such as special counsels and independent agencies to restrict the President\u27s control over the administration of the law. The initial debate focused on whether the Constitution rejected the executive by committee employed by the Articles of the Confederation in favor of a unitary executive, in which all administrative authority is centralized in the President. More recently, the debate has begun to turn towards historical practices. Some scholars have suggested that independent agencies and special counsels have become such established features of the constitutional landscape as to preempt arguments in favor of the unitary executive. Others, led by Bruce Ackerman, have suggested that the New Deal represented a constitutional moment that ratified major changes in the distribution of power within the federal government. To date, however, a complete assessment of the historical record has yet to appear. This Article is part of a larger project that offers a comprehensive chronicle that places the battles between the President and Congress over control of the administration of federal law in historical perspective. It reviews the period between 1889 and 1945, beginning with the Administration of Benjamin Harrison, ending with the Administration of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and paying particular attention to FDR\u27s failed attempt to reorganized the executive branch. The record reveals that these Presidents during this period consistently defended the unitariness of the executive branch to a degree sufficient to keep the issue from being foreclosed by history. In fact, the episodes discussed provide eloquent illustrations of the legal and normative arguments supporting the unitary executive
