    Computerized value stream system (CVSS) to reduce waste in lean manufacturing operation

    Lean manufacturing is a popular method of acquiring efficiency in manufacturing environment. Value stream mapping (VSM) is one of the methods that can be used by practitioner to support lean. VSM method is also a common method to identify waste and determined causes of the waste through the value stream mapping approach and propose solutions to improve workplace environment. This project is an attempt to computerize the normally manual VSM process. Computerize value stream system (CVSS) is basically a method which is an internet networking system combined with traditional concept of value stream mapping method used at manufacturing company to reduce wastes. This paper summarizes the way to apply an internet, online and network based of an efficient computerize value stream system to improve operation value of the manufacturing company. This paper reviews the design of the package that will replace the manual method of doing VSM. The system is tested in a real shop floor environment and found to be successful

    Improvement on Transportation Safety on Bus by Installing A Speed Limiter in Conventional Engine to Reduce Speed Rate

    Driving is one of the conditions when the driver should be given special attention to make the motor vehicle in driving way and the driver should be in a good condition. However, the problem is in a certain condition the driver lost their control speed due to their target and minimize the driving time and it led the high potential to accident. Therefore, speed limiter which applied in the bus is urgently needed to reduce the accident and improve their awareness of road safety. Developed speed limiter is completed by fuel cut-off system to prevent the engine and maintain the speed. Limitation of speed be adapted by government regulation. From the results show that the highest and average speed of 136 km/h and 123.5 km/h is observed by bus speed prior to use speed limiter. After speed limiter applied in the bus, the approved maximum speed is 90 km/h. Those data approve that the speed limiter can reduce 83% from the top speed before speed limiter applied

    Sesuai Dengan Catatan pada Situs Medcom.id Pelaku bisnis yang baru merintis usaha biasanya belum memikirkan sistem pengelolaan sumber daya manusia (SDM) secara otomatis. Pengelolaan di ruang lingkup HR ini menjadi masalah klasik bisnis kecil di Indonesia, kata Chief Commercial Officer PT Mid Solusi Nusantara (Mekari) Sandy Suryanto. (sumber : www.medcom.id). Pada saat ini CV. Cipta Karya Mandiri hanya berupa Perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang Kontruksi Besi. Sistem yang ada pada Perusahaan ini masih dilakukan secara manual, mulai dari pencatatan absensi pada karyawan, sampai penggajian serta data-data lainnya yang berhubungan dengan masukan data hingga sampai pembuatan laporan, kemungkinan terjadinya kesalahan pada proses pencatatan dan pemrosesan data menjadi sangat besar, laporan menjadi tidak akurat dan membutuhkan waktu yang lama saat pencarian. Melihat dari trend sekarang dan penelitian sebelumnya peneliti ingin mengimplementasikan sebuah aplikasi Mini Payroll kedalam tempat riset kami di CV. Cipta Karya Mandiri yang bergerak di bidang usaha kontruksi besi, berupa aplikasi web payroll sederhana menggunakan Codeiqniter, MySql, dan Bootstrap dan menggunakan metode pengembangan software waterfall
