Pancasila and the Dignity of Humankind

This article examines the correlation between Pancasila, which is Indonesia\u27s state ideology, and human dignity. Indonesians, since gaining independence in 1945, have established Pancasila as their state ideology and political philosophy, which encompasses the rights and responsibilities of its citizens without discrimination based on religion or creed, gender, race or ethnicity, socioeconomic status or whatsoever. Derived from Sankrit, the name “Pancasila” means ‘the five main principles\u27. The five principles are: 1) Belief in the Unity of Deities; 2) Just and civilized humanity; 3) Unity of Indonesia; 4) Democracy led by wisdom through deliberation of the elected representatives; 5) Social justice for all Indonesians. The article therefore discusses the five main principles that have governed the people of Indonesia for 75 years now, owing to the veracity of the universal message that Pancasila aspires to. The founding figures of the nation seemed mindful of the diversity of the people and their multitude of traditions and beliefs

Kemanunggalan dalam Yohanes 15:7 sebagai Misi Kontekstual Kepada Penganut Kejawen

This article discusses of the oneness in John 15:7 as a contextual mission attempt to the Kejawen practitioners. In John 15:7 is explained that if humans are in God and God is in humans, then all that people want will be fulfilled.  In the Kejawen teaching, there is also an understanding of oneness, called Manunggaling Kawula Gusti.  The concept is also the unification between man and God.  The unification of Man with God in this concept through the stages of changing human life.  From that definition, the legacy in John 15:7 has similarities with those in the Manunggaling Kawula Gusti concept. For this reason, both of these can be compared by looking at the similarities and differences between the two. The result obtained from this comparison can be used as a contextualization mission to the Kejawen believers.  The method used in this study is qualitative research with the approach of literature study and comparisons

Peningkatan Hasil Belajar IPA Melalui Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (Stad) Pada Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas VB SDN1 Sidokerto Kecamatan Bumiratu Nuban dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative tipe student teams achievement division (STAD).Penelitian ini termasuk dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran cooperative tipe student teams achievement division (STAD) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa, dilihat dari rata-rata persentase aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 77% dan siklus II 85,5%. Penerapan model pembelajaran cooperative tipe student teams achievement division (STAD)juga dapat meningkatkan ketuntasan hasil belajar IPA. Persentase siswa yang tuntaspada siklus I sebesar 62,5% dan siklus II sebesar 90,63% dan terjadi peningkatan pada skor rata-rata N-Gain

The world of hobbies has been rapidly growing in big cities in Indonesia, including Surabaya. One of the hobbies currently developing is collecting model kits. Kikunori Shinohara a professor of neuroscience from Japan, stated that building a model kit could stimulate blood circulation in the brain which increases one's intelligence. From some held gatherings, activities involving model kit are usually held in local mall. To address this phenomenon, it is necessary to create a space containing all activities mentioned above and it is expected to provide a one-stop facility for model kit from the need for information and providing any hobby equipments. This space is also expected to make Surabaya an attraction to the world and to enhance human resource potential as well as economic potential

—Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menyusun rancangan pengembangan produkpada Baby Dream. Pengembangan produk perlu dilakukan untuk memperbaiki mutu dan kualitas dengan tujuan meningkatkan penjualan suatu produk Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teori mengenai pengembangan produk, dan atribut produk. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pada segi ciri khas dan desain Baby Dream mengembangkan produk topi berbentuk karakter sehingga Baby Dream mempunyai nilai lebih yang membuat produk tersebut dapat laku dipasaran, selain itu dalam kualitas produk Baby Dream juga memperhatikan mulai dari bahan yang digunakan menggunakan kain katun hingga kerapian pada jaitan sehingga dapat memenuhi fitur produk yang dengan menggunakan bahan kain katun agar pemakai produk topi lebih merasa nyaman dalam segala cuaca. Dari segi analisa bisnis, peneliti menganalisa apa yang kurang atau kelemahan dari produknya, namun tetap memperhatikan cost yang akan dikeluarkan untuk melakukan Perubahan, Baby Dream harus menjual produknya 114 per bulan untuk mencapai BEP

This article explains about taqrir (evidence) as an interesting approach in attempting a method in Islamic education. The utilizing of the taqrir method which is adopted from some Qur'anic verses and text written in Arabic in Burhāni model approach as being designed by al-Jabiri and subsequently being developed in variety of the educational theories both from al-Ghazali and John Dewey, the US educational figure, would be contexctually in its application as it integrates Islamic education and progressive educational model. The violence in education is frequent occurs if the method being applied is inappropriate. Thus, violence being conducted is through forcing the courses to the students, where he or she does not wish for studying. Consequently, the knowledge being transferred could not be rest on his or her heart

Kedudukan dan Perlindungan Hukum Tenaga Honorer Setelah Berlakunya Undang-undang Nomor 5 Tahun 2014

Penerapan Undang-Undang Nomor 5 Tahun 2014 mempengaruhi kedudukan dan perlindungan hukum bagi tenaga honorer sebab dalam ketentuan Undang-Undang Nomor 5 Tahun 2014 istilah tenaga honorer dihapus. Adapun istilah baru bagi tenaga honorer yaitu Pegawai Pemerintah dengan Perjanjian Kerja (PPPK) yang mana memiliki hak yang lebih manusiawi daripada ketentuan sebelumnya. Dalam hal ini terdapat perbedaan antara kedudukan tenaga honorer menurut Undang-Undang Nomor 43 Tahun 1999 dan menurut Undang-Undang Nomor 5 Tahun 2014, sedangkan perlindungan hukum untuk tenaga honorer terdapat perbedaan menurut Undang-Undang Nomor 43 Tahun 1999 dan menurut Undang-Undang Nomor 5 Tahun 2014. Kepentingan Strategis ITB sebagai Aktor Nonteritorial Transnasional Bidang Iptek

The globalization ambivalence era requires a nation to be more anticipative than just reactive to a change taking place in the world so that the nation is able to sustain its existence in the world. Another character that complements this anticipative character i.e. non-territorial transnational actor (ANT) is also needed by a nation to prolong the nation's existence. Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), as one of Indonesia's ANTs, can play its role in introducing both Indonesia's traditional or indigenous and intellectual knowledge to the International community. This role may soon be realized if ITB's community is willing to change its by sector policy into a policy with which ITB (as an ANT) can make the best use of one of its main assets: grey Literature in its interaction with the International community. Grey Literature is defined as an entity representing the whole ITB's intellectual experience. To accomplish this role, a set of ITB's strategic programs is descibed. One of the programs is to make the best use of all Indonesia's embassies to be ITB's grey Literature agent and relate it with the 8 (eight) leading edge technologies that are predicted to be dominant worldwide in the future
