In the development of electricity as a source of energy, many forms of technology have evolved from the use of coal to power steam engines and the use of crude oil as a fuel to power modern engines and the use of nuclear energy to power nations and of course the development of renewable forms of energy such as the solar power energy, wind power energy, ocean current energy, water energy from the dams and many other forms of renewable forms of energy. One of these energy that human can harness is the energy which is abundant here on earth, is water and the energy of the sun. If the energy of the sun can be used to harvest the hydrogen and oxygen gas from water then humanity would have an unlimited power and energy for the future to come and mankind would and can help the planet earth restore into to its original state of a minimally polluted atmosphere and reduce the unprecedented natural calamities the world is facing due to global climate change.  This paper highlights the fundamental principles of how this theory can be achieved and the procedures, methods, studies, experiments and research that have been examined in order to achieve what the researchers intend to accomplish as mentioned above which is the development of an energy of the future.     Value for cultivation and use of upland rice cultivars tested in multi-environments.

    Data from 11 years of a breeding program for upland rice of the partner institutions Embrapa arroz e feijão, Epamig and UFLA conducted in 11 regions of Minas Gerais, were analyzed by the mixed model methodology. The genotypic correlations between environments ranged from medium to high, suggesting the predominance of simple interaction, but with differentiated ranking of genotypes at the different locations. Lines with specific performance, as well as lines of broad adaptation were identified. The performance of cultivar BRSMG Caravera, released in 2007, was superior to the others in terms of grain yield at all sites assessed, in other words, broad adaptation, in addition to a high genotypic performance

    We report mites of rodents from Playa de Oro, Colima, Mexico. The genera of rodents sampled were: Heteromys pictus, Heteromys spectabilis, Baiomys musculus, Nyctomys sumichrasti, Oryzomys couesi, Oryzomys melanotis, Osgoodomys banderanus, Reithrodontomys fulvescens, and Sigmodon mascotensis. We recorded species of mites belonging to the families Laelapidae, Macronyssidae,Listrophoridae, and Myocoptidae that are on new hosts, whereas others are notable range extensions. Specimens collected represent first records from Mexico of Lepidoglyphus hylandi, Laelaps oryzomydis,and Prolistrophorus bakeri.Se reportan ácaros ectoparásitos en roedores colectados durante un estudio ecológico en Playa de Oro, en el estado de Colima, México. Los roedores revisados fueron: Heteromys pictus, Heteromys spectabilis, Baiomys musculus, Nyctomys sumichrasti, Oryzomys couesi, Oryzomys melanotis, Osgoodomys banderanus, Reithrodontomys fulvescens y Sigmodon mascotensis. Se registra la presencia de varias especies de ácaros de las familias Laelapidae, Macronyssidae, Listrophoridae y Myocoptidae en nuevos huéspedes y de algunas más se amplía su distribución.     Geometric measure of quantum discord and the geometry of a class of two-qubit states

    We investigate the geometric picture of the level surfaces of quantum entanglement and geometric measure of quantum discord (GMQD) of a class of X-states, respectively. This pictorial approach provides us a direct understanding of the structure of entanglement and GMQD. The dynamic evolution of GMQD under two typical kinds of quantum decoherence channels is also investigated. It is shown that there exists a class of initial states for which the GMQD is not destroyed by decoherence in a finite time interval. Furthermore, we establish a factorization law between the initial and final GMQD, which allows us to infer the evolution of entanglement under the influences of the environment.Comment: 10 pages, 4 figures, comments are welcom

    Locally Inaccessible Information as a Fundamental Ingredient to Quantum Information

    Quantum discord (QD) measures the fraction of the pairwise mutual information that is locally inaccessible, in a multipartite system. Fundamental aspects related to two important measures in quantum information theory the Entanglement of Formation (EOF) and the conditional entropy, can be understood in terms of the distribution of this form of Local Inaccessible Information (LII). As such, the EOF for an arbitrarily mixed bipartite system AB can be related to the gain or loss of LII due to the extra knowledge that a purifying ancillary system E has on the pair AB. Similarly, a clear meaning of the negativity of the conditional entropy for AB is given. We exemplify by showing that these relations elucidate important and yet not well understood quantum features, such as the bipartite entanglement sudden death and the distinction between EOF and QD for quantifying quantum correlation. For that we introduce the concept of LII flow which quantifies the LII shared in multipartite system when a sequential local measurements are performed.Comment: We relate the entanglement and the conditional entropy exclusively as a function of quantum discord.     Even if the parameters determining a system's state are varied smoothly, the behavior of quantum correlations alike to quantum discord, and of its classical counterparts, can be very peculiar, with the appearance of non-analyticities in its rate of change. Here we review this sudden change phenomenon (SCP) discussing some important points related to it: Its uncovering, interpretations, and experimental verifications, its use in the context of the emergence of the pointer basis in a quantum measurement process, its appearance and universality under Markovian and non-Markovian dynamics, its theoretical and experimental investigation in some other physical scenarios, and the related phenomenon of double sudden change of trace distance discord. Several open questions are identified, and we envisage that in answering them we will gain significant further insight about the relation between the SCP and the symmetry-geometric aspects of the quantum state space.Comment: Lectures on General Quantum Correlations and their Applications, F.     Rethinking cultural diversity in the UK film sector:practices in community filmmaking

    © The Author(s) 2017. Academic, policy and industry debates have tended to focus on the mainstream film sector when discussing cultural diversity. One of the persistent challenges for the sector has been how to diversify cultural representation and participation. This article suggests that participatory modes of community filmmaking make an important contribution to cultural diversity. Drawing on an evidence base derived from qualitative research conducted in three English regions, the article shifts the spotlight away from the mainstream and onto the margins of the film sector in order to explore more ‘bottom-up’ approaches to cultural diversity. It examines how community filmmakers interpret and engage with questions of cultural diversity and how this connects to the participatory and business practices that they adopt.
