Carta do Editor Convidado

Posto na condição de editor convidado para dar forma a este número da Ingesta, senti-me honrado sobretudo pela confiança em que pudesse situar a nova publicação, já de início, no campo de uma historiografia de certo modo heterodoxa. Heterodoxia já garantida pela filiação da revista ao LEHDA, por si só uma entidade que nasce rompendo paradigmas ao aproximar, como campo de estudo, a alimentação daquilo que as sociedades ocidentais chamaram ao longo do tempo, ou ainda chamam no jargão policial, de “droga”.  Ingesta, ao contrário, aproxima esses domínios igualando-os no tratamento. Este primeiro número deve, no meu entender, servir de chamariz para o mais amplo espectro de intelectuais voltados para o estudo da alimentação ou das drogas, de modo a sentirem que, na Ingesta, qualquer investigação com esses focos, se bem conduzida, terá abrigo em suas páginas. Ingesta quer dar sua contribuição a esse horizonte na medida em que consiga despertar múltiplos interesses entre seus leitores, colocando abaixo os cânones temáticos e as fronteiras disciplinares que hoje organizam o mundo acadêmico.As an invited editor of this issue of Ingesta, I was especially honored by the confidence that I could place the new publication in the field of somewhat heterodox historiography. Heterodoxy already guaranteed by the magazine's affiliation to LEHDA (Laboratory of Historical Studies on Drugs and Food), an entity that was born breaking paradigms by approaching, as a field of study, food and what Western societies (and police talking) have called over time “drugs". Ingesta, on the contrary, approximates these domains by giving them the same attention. This first issue should serve to encourage a broad spectrum of intellectuals devoted to the study of food or drugs; in Ingesta, any investigation with these focuses, if properly conducted, will have a space. We want to contribute to this horizon by arising multiple interests among its readers, breaking down the thematic canons and disciplinary boundaries that today organize the academic world

O artigo pretende fazer uma breve apresentação em forma de notas sobre uma bibliografia selecionada que contém as impressões dos cronistas e viajantes sobre o fantástico e o maravilhoso na América Colonial. Tais produções simbólicas não são apenas a documentação do Novo Mundo, mas também se colocam como uma literatura ficcional que compreende determinadas maneiras de apreender o desconhecido.The article intends to make a brief presentation in the form of notes on a selected bibliography containing the impressions of chroniclers and travelers on the fantastic and the wonderful in Colonial America. Such symbolic productions are not only the documentation of the New World, but also stand as a fictional literature which comprises certain ways of apprehending the unknown

A Fuzzy Algorithm for understanding the customer's desire. An application designed for textile industry.

The paper aims at showing how a textile industry can select from a mix of products, the best products to be produced by using the customer’s point of view.The Fuzzy Algorithm for fashion industry is a tool developed to optimise the production and reduce losses and storage costs in the textile industry environment.As the textile industry has an expressive position as an employment intensive industry around the world, its health can be perceived by the ability of their managers in restricting the production to low costs limits, thus acquiring better sales and value to the products.The supply chain management must apply innovations and tools that can deal with these paradigms with dexterity. In a global source operation, the information that one product will be very well accepted by a group of customers with a given price is very welcome.In a sustainability scenario, the algorithm can promote savings in many factors such as: labour, electric energy, water and many other resources spent by the textile industries that have significant impact in economy and environment.Finally, this paper shows a different view to understand the customer's desire through linguistic variable processed in a Fuzzy Logic algorithm. The tool yields an index to the product and find out in a mix of products, which of them will be better accepted by the final customer.Keywords: Fuzzy Logic, Textile Industry, Production Optimization

Este ensaio estuda a honra como tema de cultura. Situando o tema na literatura clássica, o autor sistematiza o modelo mediterrâneo ou ibérico de honra para propor a reavaliação de alguns tópicos como condição indispensável a uma reavaliação da noção de honra nos países de origem ibérica. A família e suas relações com os códigos costumeiros emerge como problema central de cuja análise  deve nascer uma nova compreensão da noção de honra, abandonando-se a perspectiva culturalista de tomá-la simplesmente como um arcaismo, típico das sociedades das cortes" a que pertencem os ancestrais de nossos colonizadores. O forte mecanismo de controle social que se erige a partir dessa noção, imbricando os papéis masculinos e femininos na sociedade, evidencia a pertinência da abordagem a partir da consideração da família e sua inserção social.AbstractThis article studies honor as a cultural theme. Through the analysis of honor in the context of classic literature, the author offers a systematization of the Mediterranean or Iberian model of honor and proposes to reconsider some questions as precondition to a reappraisal of the concept in Iberian countries. The family and its relationship with common law codes is the central locus from which a new understanding of the concept of honor must emerge, leaving aside, in this way, the culturalist perspective, in which honor was seen as a survival of the "court society" of the forefathers of our colonizers.The strong machinery of social control that is built on this concept, in which are imbricated masculine and feminine social roles, shows the importance of this perspective that starts from the family and its social context."0247-111Gêner

O mito original da culinária brasileira nos diz que seu processo de formação começa em 1500, com o consumo gradativo de uma alimentação “miscigenada”. Ele nega que haja cozinha que possa ser chamada “brasileira” antes do descobrimento. Em outras palavras, lhe é indiferente o que os índios comiam. Assim, uma moderna consciência descolonizada precisa reconstruir o passado arqueológico de centenas de povos originais como substrato básico a partir do qual se formou a culinária atual – considerando o comer indígena em suas diferenças culturais, regionais e locais anteriores à chegada dos portugueses. &nbsp
