Potable water dispenser
A dispenser particularly suited for use in dispensing potable water into food and beverage reconstitution bags is described. The dispenser is characterized by an expansible chamber, selectively adjustable stop means for varying the maximum dimensions, a rotary valve, and a linear valve coupled in a cooperating relation for delivering potable water to and from the chamber
Transonic unsteady airloads on an energy efficient transport wing with oscillating control surfaces
An aspect ratio 10.8 supercritical wing with oscillating control surfaces is described. The wing is instrumental with 252 static orifices and 164 in situ dynamic pressure transducers for studying the effects of control surface deflection on steady and unsteady pressures at transonic speeds. Results from initial wind tunnel tests conducted in the Langley Transonic Dynamics Tunnel are discussed. Unsteady pressure results are presented for two trailing edge control surfaces oscillating separately at the design Mach number of 0.78. Some experimental results are compared with analytical results obtained by using linear lifting surface theory
System remotely inspects, measures, and records internal irregularities in piping
Video electromechanical probe visually inspects and measures internal offset and peaking of welds in relatively large piping. Irregularity dimensions are recorded on peripheral equipment consisting of video tape and X-Y plotter. The probe is used for inspection of vacuum-jacketed liquid lines that cannot be inspected externally

Separability of Rotational Effects on a Gravitational Lens
We derive the deflection angle up to due to a Kerr gravitational
lens with mass and specific angular momentum . It is known that at the
linear order in and the Kerr lens is observationally equivalent to the
Schwarzschild one because of the invariance under the global translation of the
center of the lens mass. We show, however, nonlinear couplings break the
degeneracy so that the rotational effect becomes in principle separable for
multiple images of a single source. Furthermore, it is distinguishable also for
each image of an extended source and/or a point source in orbital motion. In
practice, the correction at becomes for the
supermassive black hole in our galactic center. Hence, these nonlinear
gravitational lensing effects are too small to detect by near-future

Some applications of the NASTRAN level 16 subsonic flutter analysis capability
The Level 16 flutter analysis capability was applied to an aspect-ratio-6.8 subsonic transport type wing, an aspect-ratio-1.7 arrow wing, and an aspect-ratio-1.3 all movable horizontal tail with a geared elevator. The transport wing and arrow wing results are compared with experimental results obtained in the Langley transonic dynamic tunnel and with other calculated results obtained using subsonic lifting surface (kernel function) unsteady aerodynamic theory
