Let G be a finite group and (G) the set of the numbers of conjugates of noncyclic proper subgroups of G. We prove that (1) if |(G)|≀2, then G is solvable, and (2) G is a nonsolvable group with |(G)|=3 if and only if G≅PSL(2,5) or PSL(2,13) or SL(2,5) or SL(2,13)

DP-starJ: A Differential Private Scheme towards Analytical Star-Join Queries

Star-join query is the fundamental task in data warehouse and has wide applications in On-line Analytical Processing (OLAP) scenarios. Due to the large number of foreign key constraints and the asymmetric effect in the neighboring instance between the fact and dimension tables, even those latest DP efforts specifically designed for join, if directly applied to star-join query, will suffer from extremely large estimation errors and expensive computational cost. In this paper, we are thus motivated to propose DP-starJ, a novel Differentially Private framework for star-Join queries. DP-starJ consists of a series of strategies tailored to specific features of star-join, including 1) we unveil the different effect of fact and dimension tables on the neighboring database instances, and accordingly revisit the definitions tailored to different cases of star-join; 2) we propose Predicate Mechanism (PM), which utilizes predicate perturbation to inject noise into the join procedure instead of the results; 3) to further boost the robust performance, we propose a DP-compliant star-join algorithm for various types of star-join tasks based on PM. We provide both theoretical analysis and empirical study, which demonstrate the superiority of the proposed methods over the state-of-the-art solutions in terms of accuracy, efficiency, and scalability

Research on Effects of Incidence to Turbine Guide Cascade Aerodynamic Performance

    Get PDF
When steam turbine set runs, the changes of incidence angle could cause the change of the flow loss in the cascade passages. It was necessary to research the flow performance in steam turbine passages by changing incidence angle. With the help of hydrodynamic software CFX, we could conduct numerical simulations at three incidence angles of 20°, 0°, and -20°, respectively. The computation results indicated that the blades with aft-loading profile had a good adaptation to the incidence angle. After changing incidence angle, the incidence angle affected the distribution of static surface pressure less within most of the scope of pressure surface and suction surface than other location. However, incidence angle −20° would decrease pressure loss within a narrow range, and incidence angle 20° would increase pressure loss

Influence Maximization in Social Networks: A Survey

Online social networks have become an important platform for people to communicate, share knowledge and disseminate information. Given the widespread usage of social media, individuals' ideas, preferences and behavior are often influenced by their peers or friends in the social networks that they participate in. Since the last decade, influence maximization (IM) problem has been extensively adopted to model the diffusion of innovations and ideas. The purpose of IM is to select a set of k seed nodes who can influence the most individuals in the network. In this survey, we present a systematical study over the researches and future directions with respect to IM problem. We review the information diffusion models and analyze a variety of algorithms for the classic IM algorithms. We propose a taxonomy for potential readers to understand the key techniques and challenges. We also organize the milestone works in time order such that the readers of this survey can experience the research roadmap in this field. Moreover, we also categorize other application-oriented IM studies and correspondingly study each of them. What's more, we list a series of open questions as the future directions for IM-related researches, where a potential reader of this survey can easily observe what should be done next in this field
