Posibilitati de perfectionare a calculatiei costurilor in silvicultura prin introducerea metodei standard-cost
The book-keeping of the administration must insure the rapid acquiring of exact, viable, clear figures adapted to different aspects of the current administration. The wise use and the timely transmission of this information will allow the management of the Forrest District to react to the problems that might appear in the shortest time possible. Furthermore, it will allow for the formulation of a diagnosis as well as for the elaboration of a coherent set of rules which can facilitate a long-lasting and efficient administration of the forests the district has in its jurisdiction. The necessity of the lasting reduction of the costs for the insurance of economic efficiency at the level of the Forrest District, together with the demands necessary for the better management of the units in the actual conditions, impose the improvement of the costs calculation. The purpose is to create a stronger role for these methods to be able to make decisions concerning the rational use of the production factors, the improvement of the technological processes and the adaptation of an efficient organisational structure.management of the Forrest District, cost calculation, reduction of the costs, standard – cost method
On Why Emotional Recalcitrance is Only Apparent
In this thesis I address the topic of emotional recalcitrance, the phenomenon in which one’s emotions are in a state of conflict with one’s judgment. It might be assumed that this conflict indicates that such emotions must be irrational, since they go against our judgment. However, a plurality of voices in the literature have tried to argue that these emotions are not irrational, contrary to appearances. For instance, some emphasise the underlying biological processes of these emotions, leading to views on which recalcitrance is potentially a-rational. Another strategy is to focus on the differences between how judgments and emotions relate to their content, for instance by arguing that emotions are more like perceptions, which are not irrational even when conflicting with judgments. I will argue against both types of responses.
On my view, recalcitrant emotions are not irrational because they are not in conflict with the judgments we take them to be in conflict with. That is, subjects misunderstand the content of their own emotion and compare it with the wrong judgments – the emotion, however, is therefore not in any breach of rationality. This assumed conflict is the source of irrationality, rather than the emotion itself. Emotional recalcitrance is, then, the persistence of a misunderstood emotion.
I will organise this work as follows. In the first chapter, I will offer a taxonomy of existing theories of emotions and assess their approach to the challenge of recalcitrance. In the second chapter, I will offer a new lens for discussing recalcitrance: a distinction between strong and weak recalcitrance. I will show that my account is the most promising way of accounting for this distinction, while also being consistent with the majority of existing views of emotions. In the final chapter, I address potential issues for my account, particularly issues concerning normative criteria
Adjustment of macroeconomic imbalances
The global financial and economic crisis was the factor that triggered the adjustment of macroeconomic imbalances accumulated in Romania. The current account deficit and budget deficit were two major structural imbalances that have created a high vulnerability for the economy and explained the extent of economic contraction in Romania during the economic crisis. This article identifies the main causes that lead to the need for fiscal adjustment both in the EU and in Romania, as well as main effects of adjustments in respect of their experience in recent years. The article deals with this topic, because the current topical debate in the field of fiscal adjustments implemented both in the EU and our country, and their need for economic activity aimed at economic recovery

Symbolic meaning of local identity – A case study on Barcelona place brand representation
The core objective of this research process was to design an operational tool for place brand analysis. By modelling the emotional significance and the deeper-lying symbols associated to a specific place identity I expected to create a semiotic tool that could be applied, mutatis mutandis, on other similar place brands. As a field case study to develop the instrument, my choice of the research arena was Barcelona city, the capital of Catalonia Autonomous Community, Spain. Barcelona brand identity was approached in the line of the Chicago Urban Anthropology School. The research methods were designed according to the prescriptions of the urban anthropology, namely qualitative methods: in-depth interviews and discourse analysis. The final research outcome was a model summarizing a range of specific emotional values that support a place brand to position in the collective mindset and to assume a positively valued status and identity in the world order

Bioactive Glass—An Extensive Study of the Preparation and Coating Methods
Diseases or complications that are caused by bone tissue damage affect millions of patients every year. Orthopedic and dental implants have become important treatment options for replacing and repairing missing or damaged parts of bones and teeth. In order to use a material in the manufacture of implants, the material must meet several requirements, such as mechanical stability, elasticity, biocompatibility, hydrophilicity, corrosion resistance, and non-toxicity. In the 1970s, a biocompatible glassy material called bioactive glass was discovered. At a later time, several glass materials with similar properties were developed. This material has a big potential to be used in formulating medical devices, but its fragility is an important disadvantage. The use of bioactive glasses in the form of coatings on metal substrates allows the combination of the mechanical hardness of the metal and the biocompatibility of the bioactive glass. In this review, an extensive study of the literature was conducted regarding the preparation methods of bioactive glass and the different techniques of coating on various substrates, such as stainless steel, titanium, and their alloys. Furthermore, the main doping agents that can be used to impart special properties to the bioactive glass coatings are described
How to stem the tide? Development of three scoping reviews in biomarkers and personalized prevention
XLI Reunión anual de la Sociedad Española de Epidemiología (SEE) y XVIII Congresso da Associação Portuguesa de Epidemiología (APE). Porto (Portugal), del 5 al 8 de septiembre de 2023.The “PeRsOnalized Prevention roadmap for the future HEalThcare” (PROPHET) project, seeks to assess the effectiveness, clinical utility and existing gaps in current personalized preventive approaches, and to develop a Strategy Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for the European Union. The first draft of the SRIA concept paper needs to incorporate the state of the art of personalized prevention carried out through scoping reviews. Among them, our work aimed to answer whether there is any biomarker or combination of biomarkers that can help to better identify subgroups of individuals with different risks of developing a particular disease for primary or secondary prevention. These results were needed at early stage of the project; despite covering such a broad topic, it had to be carried out in record time (4 months) by a geographically dispersed team (Granada, Madrid, United Kingdom). Our challenge has been to maintain effective coordination and speed without losing scientific rigor. Between Feb-June 2023, our team conducted three independent scoping reviews (for cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases and cancer, respectively) that involved quick and difficult decisions to narrow down the inclusion criteria, study populations, biomarkers included, and types of prevention. To maintain consistency, we created different glossaries and had multiple meetings and constant contact between team members. As a first step, we identified key terms on the topics of interest, helped by expert consultations, identification of significant publications and several specific tools (SR-Accelerator, etc.). A pilot study was conducted to refine the search matrix and to initiate coordination among reviewers. However, in order to shorten timeframes, we limited peer review to 10% of the records in all phases. The protocol, published in OSF, served as a guide for the report. All phases, when possible, overlapped to deliver the report on time. In addition, we made interactive evidence maps to show the results graphically, thanks to the creation of a script, using R and Python, to allow the input of the datasheet extraction file into the mapping application. Despite these challenges, we successfully met the project deadlines.Funding: HE No 10105772. UKRI No 10040946.N
