We extend the Falceto-Zambon version of Marsden-Ratiu Poisson reduction to Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis structures with background on manifolds. We define gauge transformations of Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis structures with background, study some of their properties and show that they are compatible with reduction procedure. From the web of bibliographic data to the web of bibliographic meaning: structuring, interlinking and validating ontologies on the semantic web

Bibliographic data sets have revealed good levels of technical interoperability observing the principles and good practices of linked data. However, they have a low level of quality from the semantic point of view, due to many factors: lack of a common conceptual framework for a diversity of standards often used together, reduced number of links between the ontologies underlying data sets, proliferation of heterogeneous vocabularies, underuse of semantic mechanisms in data structures, "ontology hijacking" (Feeney et al., 2018), point-to-point mappings, as well as limitations of semantic web languages for the requirements of bibliographic data interoperability. Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension Treated with a Targeted CT-Guided Epidural Blood Patch

Spontaneous intracranial hypotension (SIH) is an important cause of new daily persistent headache. It is thought to be due to spontaneous spinal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks, which probably have a multifactorial etiology. The classic manifestation of SIH is an orthostatic headache, but other neurological symptoms may be present. An epidural blood patch is thought to be the most effective treatment, but a blind infusion may be ineffective. We describe the case of a young man who developed an acute severe headache, with pain worsening when assuming an upright posture and relief gained with recumbency. No history of previous headache, recent cranial or cervical trauma, or invasive procedures was reported. Magnetic resonance imaging showed pachymeningeal enhancement and other features consistent with SIH and pointed towards a cervical CSF leak site. Propagação de mogno (Swietenia macrophylla King) por miniestaquia.

O objetivo do trabalho foi propagar a espécie Swietenia Macrophylla King pela técnica de miniestaquia como alternativa de potencializar a produção de mudas visando a conservação da espécie. Foram utilizadas miniestacas provenientes de brotações coletadas de plantas rejuvenescidas por estaqueamento convencional. As miniestacas foram imersas em solução de AIB e ANA em diferentes concentrações, tipo de estaca, tempo de imersão e postas em câmara úmida. A utilização de rebrotos oriundos de estacas de plantas de mogno selecionadas cultivadas no plantio são fontes de material de propagação pela técnica de miniestaquia e miniestacas de mogno das posições basal e mediana imersas por 5 minutos em solução de 1000 e 2000 ppm de AIB são as mais eficientes no enraizamento

Small-sample corrections for score tests in Birnbaum-Saunders regressions

In this paper we deal with the issue of performing accurate small-sample inference in the Birnbaum-Saunders regression model, which can be useful for modeling lifetime or reliability data. We derive a Bartlett-type correction for the score test and numerically compare the corrected test with the usual score test, the likelihood ratio test and its Bartlett-corrected version. The Beta Generalized Exponential Distribution

We introduce the beta generalized exponential distribution that includes the beta exponential and generalized exponential distributions as special cases. We provide a comprehensive mathematical treatment of this distribution. We derive the moment generating function and the $r$th moment thus generalizing some results in the literature. Expressions for the density, moment generating function and $r$th moment of the order statistics also are obtained. We discuss estimation of the parameters by maximum likelihood and provide the information matrix. We observe in one application to real data set that this model is quite flexible and can be used quite effectively in analyzing positive data in place of the beta exponential and generalized exponential distributions

Análise econômica dos sistemas de cultivo com Schizolobium parahyba var. amazonicum (Huber ex Ducke) Barneby (Paricá) e Ananas comosus var. erectifolius (L. B. Smith) Coppus & Leal (Curauá) no município de Aurora do Pará (pa), Brasil.

O objetivo do trabalho foi analisar a viabilidade econômica dos sistemas de cultivo com Schizolobium parahyba var. amazonicum (Huber ex Ducke) Barneby e Ananas comosus var. erectifolius (L. B. Smith) Coppus & Leal, considerando-se três sistemas distintos: I) Monocultivo de Paricá; II) Monocultivo de Curauá; e III) Sistema Paricá e Curauá. Os sistemas foram implantados no Campo Experimental da Empresa Tramontina Belém, localizado no município de Aurora do Pará (PA). A partir dos registros das contas de despesa e receita do orçamento unitário, elaborados para cada sistema, foi construído o fluxo de caixa. A viabilidade econômica foi determinada por meio do valor presente líquido (VPL), razão benefício/custo (B/C) e taxa interna de retorno (TIR). Utilizou-se como custo de oportunidade uma taxa de juros de longo prazo de 12% ao ano. Os custos e as receitas foram mensurados em R$/ha. Os resultados mostraram que o monocultivo de Curauá apresentou o maior VPL (R$ 19.853,44), seguido do sistema agroflorestal de Paricá e Curauá (R$ 9.507,795). O sistema Paricá e Curauá apresentou a maior relação benefício/custo (1,29) enquanto a menor ficou com o monocultivo de Paricá. Das atividades analisadas, o monocultivo de Curauá apresentou maior TIR (44%), seguido do sistema Paricá e Curauá (33%), valores superiores ao custo de oportunidade. A associação Paricá e Curauá mostrou-se economicamente viável, tanto para agricultores que desejam implantar um povoamento florestal, quanto para as empresas madeireiras interessadas na redução dos custos da implantação de povoamentos florestais
