ABSTRACTEvery children in Indonesia, including children with special needs, has the same chance and right to pursue education. Intellectual disability children is the condition in which their intelligence experiences obstacles characterized by below-average intelligence and not proficient in social interaction that makes them to experience difficulties in learning and academic abilities such as writing which causes them to lag behind their other friends. The researchers’ aim is to improve the intellectual disability children’s ability to write numbers 1-3 through multisensory and reinforcement method. The research method is Single Subject Research (SSR) with A-B-A’ design (with 3 phases; pre-test, intervention, post-test). Dynamic Interfacial Adhesion through Cucurbit[n]uril Molecular Recognition.

Supramolecular building blocks, such as cucurbit[n]uril (CB[n])-based host-guest complexes, have been extensively studied at the nano- and microscale as adhesion promoters. Herein, we exploit a new class of CB[n]-threaded highly branched polyrotaxanes (HBP-CB[n]) as aqueous adhesives to macroscopically bond two wet surfaces, including biological tissue, through the formation of CB[8] heteroternary complexes. The dynamic nature of these complexes gives rise to adhesion with remarkable toughness, displaying recovery and reversible adhesion upon mechanical failure at the interface. Incorporation of functional guests, such as azobenzene moieties, allows for stimuli-activated on-demand adhesion/de-adhesion. Macroscopic interfacial adhesion through dynamic host-guest molecular recognition represents an innovative strategy for designing the next generation of functional interfaces, biomedical devices, tissue adhesives, and wound dressings

Supramolecular Nested Microbeads as Building Blocks for Macroscopic Self-healing Scaffolds

Abstract: The ability to construct self-healing scaffolds which are injectable and capable of forming a designed morphology, offers the possibility to engineer sustainable materials. Here, we introduce a concept of supramolecular nested microbeads, which can be used as building blocks to construct macroscopic self-healing scaffolds. The core-shell microbeads remain in an “inert” state due to the isolation of a pair of complementary polymers, in a form that can be stored as an aqueous suspension. An annealing process after injection effectively induces the re-construction of the microbead units, leading to a supramolecular gelation in a pre-configured shape. The resulting macroscopic scaffold is dynamically stable, displaying self-recover in a self-healing electronic conductor. This strategy of using the supramolecular assembled nested microbeads as building blocks represents an alternative to injectable hydrogel systems, and shows promise in the field of structural biomaterials and flexible-electronics

Type 1 interferons and NK cells restrict gamma-herpesvirus lymph node infection

Gamma-herpesviruses establish persistent, systemic infections and cause cancers. Murid Herpesvirus-4 (MuHV-4) provides a unique window onto the early events of host colonization. It spreads via lymph nodes. While dendritic cells (DC) pass MuHV-4 to lymph node B cells, subcapsular sinus macrophages (SSM), which capture virions from the afferent lymph, restrict its spread. Understanding how this restriction works offers potential clues to a more comprehensive defence. Type I interferons (IFN-I) blocked SSM lytic infection and reduced lytic cycle-independent viral reporter gene expression. Plasmacytoid DC were not required; but neither were SSM the only source of IFN-I, as IFN-I blockade increased infection in both intact and SSM-depleted mice. NK cells restricted lytic SSM infection independently of IFN-I, and SSM-derived virions spread to the spleen only when IFN-I responses and NK cells were both lacking. Thus, multiple innate defences allowed SSM to adsorb virions from the afferent lymph with relative impunity. Enhancing IFN-I and NK cell recruitment could potentially also restrict DC infection and so improve infection control

PERAN PIK-R DENGAN PERILAKU SEKS PRANIKAH PADA REMAJA

 ABSTRAKLatar Belakang Pemerintah telah mengupayakan program generasi berencana bagi remaja untuk mengendalikan persoalan terkait remaja seperti kesehatan reproduksi dan perilaku seksual pada remaja dan salah satu organisasinya adalah PIK-R.Tujuan peneliti untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan peran PIK-R dengan perilaku seks pranikah.Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cross sectional  yang dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri X dan Y pada bulan agustus 2019 dengan populasi dan sampel dari 70 siswa dan siswi anggota PIK-R. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Total Sampling karena jumlah responden dibawah 100. Untuk menganalisa data digunakan uji chi square untuk menguji hubungan antar variable yang dibantu oleh program SPSS.Hasil penelitian dapatkan yang PIK-R nya berperan perilaku seks pranikah beresiko ada 2 orang (4,7%), dan yang PIK-R nya yang berperan perilaku seks pranikah tidak beresiko ada 41 orang (95,3%), PIK-R yang tidak berperan perilaku seks pranikah ada beresiko 7 orang (25,9%). Hasil uji statistic ada hubungan antara peran PIK-R dengan perilaku seks pranikah dengan p=0,12.Kesimpulan lebih dari setengah responden mengatakan PIK-R berperan karena seminggu sekali rutin berkumpul dan diberi pembekalan materi tentang kespro dan sex education sehingga lebih banyak perilaku seks tidak beresiko namun beberapa yang beresiko dikarenakan faktor lingkungan, rasa ingin tahu dan sosial media walaupun sudah pernah terpapar oleh materi tentang kespro dan sex education.Saran diharapkan agar dapat selalu meningkatkan kegiatan atau aktivitas yang dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi siswa dan siswi di SMA N X dan Y Kota Batam seperti bekerjasama dengan pihak genre untuk melakukan sosialiasi tentang perilaku seksual dan kesehatan reproduksi di sekolah SMA N X dan Y Kota batam, sehingga bisa menghasilkan generasi penerus bangsa yang sehat dan berpengetahuan lebih mengenai kesehatan  dan bermanfaat untuk masa depan negaraKata Kunci        : Peran PIK-R, Perilaku Seks Pranikah
