We introduce the antibunching effect for the q-electromagnetic field, and study this kind nonclassical properties of k-component q-coherent states given by Kuang et al. The results show that all of them show antibunching effect

An Evaluation Model for the Cultivation and Improvement of the Innovation Ability of College Students

    No full text
In modern times, the innovation ability of college students is a focus of college education. However, the cultivation and improvement of this ability are constrained by many factors, and the ability is too complex to be evaluated accurately. To solve the problems, this paper puts forward an extension model suitable for evaluating the cultivation and improvement of the said ability. Firstly, the research problem was defined clearly as the evaluation of the cultivation and improvement for the innovation ability of college students. Based on the extension theory, an evaluation model was established for the cultivation and improvement of the said ability, the workflow of model implementation was explained, and the corresponding evaluation algorithm was designed in details. Finally, the proposed model and algorithm were proved operable through case analysis. The research results provide support to the solution of complex systematic decision-making problems

Protective effects of green tea polyphenols against benzo[a]pyrene-induced reproductive and trans-generational toxic effects in Japanese Medaka (Oryzias latipes)

In order to investigate the protective effect of green tea polyphenols (GTP) on benzo[a]pyrene (BaP)-induced reproductive and trans-generational toxicity, Japanese Medaka was injected intraperitoneally with BaP alone and co-injected with both BaP and GTP of different concentrations, respectively. Exposure to BaP alone significantly suppressed fecundity, fertilization success, and egg diameter/protein content and markedly induced deformation ratio in F1 generation. However, GTP could help recover reproductive functions, egg quality suppressed by BaP and reduced deformation ratio. VTG-1, a molecular marker of reproductive toxicity, was significantly down-regulated in females exposed to BaP, but a dose-dependent increase was observed in co-exposed groups. Up-regulation of GSH-Px, dose-dependent decrease of CYP1A1, and the GST expression inhibited by BaP was recovered and even markedly up-regulated in the co-exposure groups. These findings show promising protective effects of GTP against BaP-induced reproductive and trans-generational toxicity

Spin-dependent transport and functional design in organic ferromagnetic devices

    No full text
Organic ferromagnets are intriguing materials in that they combine ferromagnetic and organic properties. Although challenges in their synthesis still remain, the development of organic spintronics has triggered strong interest in high-performance organic ferromagnetic devices. This review first introduces our theory for spin-dependent electron transport through organic ferromagnetic devices, which combines an extended Su–Schrieffer–Heeger model with the Green’s function method. The effects of the intrinsic interactions in the organic ferromagnets, including strong electron–lattice interaction and spin–spin correlation between π-electrons and radicals, are highlighted. Several interesting functional designs of organic ferromagnetic devices are discussed, specifically the concepts of a spin filter, multi-state magnetoresistance, and spin-current rectification. The mechanism of each phenomenon is explained by transmission and orbital analysis. These works show that organic ferromagnets are promising components for spintronic devices that deserve to be designed and examined in future experiments

    New symmetrodont

20 p. : ill. ; 26 cm.Includes bibliographical references (p. 18-20).Symmetrodonts are Mesozoic mammals having lower molars with nearly symmetrical trigonids but lacking talonids. They appear to be stem members of the mammalian clade that led to extant tribosphenic mammals, but the fossil record of symmetrodonts is poor. Here we report a new genus and species of an acute-angled spalacotheriid symmetrodont, Heishanlestes changi, n.gen. and n.sp., represented by well-preserved lower jaws with teeth from the early Cretaceous of northeastern China. The new mammal has four tightly spaced premolars and three morphological groups of lower molars, in which the first molar has an obtuse trigonid angle and the last two molars have a large neomorphic cusp in the center of the trigonid, a feature not seen in other mammals. Heishanlestes appears to be a specialized member of the spalacotheriid subfamily, Spalacolestinae, which is otherwise only known from North America. The animal probably used the premolars to crush its prey before shearing it with the molars

Relationship among the Expression of Lymphatic Vessel Density, Microvessel
Density, Carcinoembryonic Antigenic mRNA, KAI1, and Kiss-1, and Prognosis
in Patients with Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Background and objective In recent years, many studies have revealed the prognosis in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In general, some clinic-pathological parameters have been related with prognosis. The aim of this study is to detect the relationship among lymphatic vessel density (LVD), microvessel density (MVD), expression of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) mRNA, metastasis suppressor genes (KAI1 and Kiss-1), and the prognosis of NSCLC patients. Methods Blood samples were collected from 57 cases of NSCLC. The transcription of CEA mRNA was detected via nested reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction and micro-fluid chip. Immunohistochemistry was performed to detect the expression of LVD, MVD, KAI1 and Kiss-1 in the patients. All follow-up data were collected and analyzed. Results The overall five-year survival rate was 18%, and the median survival was 34 months. TNM stage, lymph node metastasis, and expression of MVD, LVD, CEA mRNA and Kiss-1 were factors to survival, as determined via single survival analysis. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that TNM stage, lymph node metastasis, and expression of CEA mRNA were independent prognostic factors for NSCLC patients. Conclusion The expression of MVD, LVD, Kiss-1 and CEA mRNA is related to the prognosis of NSCLC
