El atleta y la salud: Una reflexión en torno a la corporeidad

Within the current conjuncture, the body archetypes referring to health and disease have been built based on the provisions and discourses resolved from biomedical science. Based on this premise, the text reflects on the way the body is conceived in sport from the different social, political, and economic forces that run through it. Likewise, it describes the way in which biomedical institutions end up reproducing the instrumental and mechanistic dispositions of athletes, at the cost of the influx of economic interests that are concentrated on these dehumanized bodies. Concluding that the dehumanization of the athlete is motivated by economic interests and results in the instrumentalization of the athlete's body through biomedical practices and alternative medicines.Dentro de la coyuntura actual, los arquetipos corporales referentes a la salud y la enfermedad se han construido con base en las disposiciones y los discursos resueltos desde la ciencia biomédica. A partir de esta premisa, el texto reflexiona en torno a la forma que se concibe el cuerpo en el deporte desde las distintas fuerzas sociales, políticas y económicas que lo atraviesan. Así mismo, describe la forma en que las instituciones biomédicas terminan por reproducir las disposiciones instrumentales y mecanicistas de los deportistas, a costa del influjo de intereses económicos que se concentran sobre estos cuerpos deshumanizados. Concluyendo que la deshumanización del deportista está motivada por intereses económicos y resulta en la instrumentalización del cuerpo del atleta por medio de las prácticas biomédicas y las medicinas alternativas

Este título, sugestivo por los impactos durante la situación de la Covid 19 en el mundo, y que en Colombia lastimosamente han sido muy críticos, permiten asumir la obligada superación de tensiones sociales, políticas, y económicas; pero sobre todo científicas y tecnológicas. Inicialmente, esto supone la existencia de una capacidad de la sociedad colombiana por recuperar su estado inicial después de que haya cesado la perturbación a la que fue sometida por la catastrófica pandemia, y superar ese anterior estado de cosas ya que se encontraban -y aún se encuentran- muchos problemas locales mal resueltos, medianamente resueltos, y muchos sin resolver: es decir, habrá que rediseñar y fortalecer una probada resiliencia social existente - producto del prolongado conflicto social colombiano superado parcialmente por un proceso de paz exitoso - desde la tecnociencia local; como lo indicaba Markus Brunnermeier - economista alemán y catedrático de economía de la Universidad de Princeton- en su libro The Resilient Society…La cuestión no es preveerlo todo sino poder reaccionar…aprender a recuperarse rápido.This title, suggestive of the impacts during the Covid 19 situation in the world, and which have unfortunately been very critical in Colombia, allows us to assume the obligatory overcoming of social, political, and economic tensions; but above all scientific and technological.
