Biliopleurobronchial fistula (FBB) is an abnormal communication between the pathway biliary and bronchial tree. It is an infrequent condition, usually secondary to a local infectious process or a traumatic event. Bilioptisis is pathognomonic. We present the case of a 37-year-old woman with a history of secondary biliary cirrhosis, in list for liver transplantation, with multiple episodes of previous cholangitis and external biliary derivation, who had a course of bilioptisis and by scintigraphy HIDA confirmed biliopleurobronchial fistula

[EN] Creative thinking is necessary to generate novel ideas and solve problems. "EstuPlan" is a methodology in which knowledge and creativity converge for the resolution of scientific problems with social projection. It is a training programme that integrates teachers, laboratory technicians and PhD students, master and undergraduate students which form working groups for the development of projects. Projects have a broad and essential scope and projection in terms of environmental problems, sustainable use of natural resources, food, health, biotechnology or biomedicine. The results show the success of this significant learning methodology using tools to develop creativity in responding to scientific and social demand for problem-solving to transfer academic knowledge to different professional environments. Bioplastics, Second Life of Coffee, LimBio, Algae oils, Ecomers, Caring for the life of your crop and Hate to Deforestate are currently being developed.Astudillo Calderón, S.; De Díez De La Torre, L.; García Companys, M.; Ortega Pérez, N.; Rodríguez Martínez, V.; Alzahrani, S.; Alonso Valenzuela, R.... “Ningún Ser Humano es Ilegal: Decolonial Feminisms & Immigrants’ Rights Grassroots Organizing in New Jersey” is a feminist decolonial study of the immigrants’ rights movement in Freehold Borough, NJ. As an interdisciplinary project, the dissertation draws on multiple methods –primarily archival research, oral history and four years of ethnographic fieldwork– and argues for the use of dehumanization rather than illegality as a framework for understanding the debate around undocumented immigration in the United States.Ph.D.Includes bibliographical referencesby Carolina Alonso Bejaran

Decolonizing ethnography : undocumented immigrants and new directions in social science

    No full text
In August 2011, ethnographers Carolina Alonso Bejarano and Daniel M. Goldstein began a research project on undocumented immigration in the United States by volunteering at a center for migrant workers in New Jersey. Two years later, Lucia López Juárez and Mirian A. Mijangos García—two local immigrant workers from Latin America—joined Alonso Bejarano and Goldstein as research assistants and quickly became equal partners for whom ethnographic practice was inseparable from activism. In Decolonizing Ethnography the four coauthors offer a methodological and theoretical reassessment of social science research, showing how it can function as a vehicle for activism and as a tool for marginalized people to theorize their lives. Tacking between personal narratives, ethnographic field notes, an original bilingual play about workers' rights, and examinations of anthropology as a discipline, the coauthors show how the participation of Mijangos García and López Juárez transformed the project's activist and academic dimensions. In so doing, they offer a guide for those wishing to expand the potential of ethnography to serve as a means for social transformation and decolonization

    Memoirs of the plague: lawfare

    No full text
This is an entry into a collective journal of the twenty-first century years of plague. It introduces the notion of ‘lawfare’ by way of the contemporary case concerning Lula da Silva and Brazil’s fall from grace. The latter is presented as an instance of violence in the international context, the managerial attitude to global disasters and, indeed, a plague. It chronicles the social struggles around the case and on that basis builds a somewhat playful manifesto for a new relationship between legal scholarship, the law school and the imaginary of permanent catastrophe and plague

A New Social Economic: Strengths and Precarities of Informality

    No full text
This second report recommends the creation of a new social economy model based as much on the close relation between the formal and informal economy, as on the informal economy’s dynamism. Taking into account these realities and the precarities that accompany the informal economy, the aim is to support localised economic processes which recognise the generation of value throughout society. The figures in this report are from the database on the informal economy in Colombia produced by the RUPTURES21 team. Sources of information include the Large Integrated Household Survey (Gran Encuesta Integrada de Hogares - GEIH), including information from the regions of Amazonía and Orinoquía and additional modules related to migration and ethnic population, the Special Register of Health Service Providers (Registro Especial de Prestadores de Servicios de Salud – REPS), information from the National Institute of Health (Instituto Nacional Salud (INS)), the Integrated Social Protection Information System (Sistema Integrado de Información de la Protección Social (SISPRO)), the Single National Registry of Human Talent in Health (Registro Único Nacional del Talento Humano en Salud (ReTHUS)) and the Unique Affiliates Database (Base de Datos Única de Afiliados - BDUA))
