Para isto, através de pesquisa bibliográfica, apresentamos o cenário contemporâneo da questão ambiental e também a particularidade do trabalho do assistente social. Desta maneira, o que se evidencia desafio de compreender a contribuição da profissão para o entendimento crítico do movimento do real. Uma aproximação acerca do trabalho profissional e a questão ambiental, deve considerar as variáveis relacionais para a conformação e enfrentamento qualificado às problemáticas ambientais, e apreender a realidade sob múltiplos olhares, descartando considerações monocausais e “a-históricas”

    Dynamic Model-based Management of Service-Oriented Infrastructure.

    Models are an effective tool for systems and software design. They allow software architects to abstract from the non-relevant details. Those qualities are also useful for the technical management of networks, systems and software, such as those that compose service oriented architectures. Models can provide a set of well-defined abstractions over the distributed heterogeneous service infrastructure that enable its automated management. We propose to use the managed system as a source of dynamically generated runtime models, and decompose management processes into a composition of model transformations. We have created an autonomic service deployment and configuration architecture that obtains, analyzes, and transforms system models to apply the required actions, while being oblivious to the low-level details. An instrumentation layer automatically builds these models and interprets the planned management actions to the system. We illustrate these concepts with a distributed service update operation

    The runtime management of the infrastructure providing service-based systems is a complex task, up to the point where manual operation struggles to be cost effective. As the functionality is provided by a set of dynamically composed distributed services, in order to achieve a management objective multiple operations have to be applied over the distributed elements of the managed infrastructure. Moreover, the manager must cope with the highly heterogeneous characteristics and management interfaces of the runtime resources. With this in mind, this paper proposes to support the configuration and deployment of services with an automated closed control loop. The automation is enabled by the definition of a generic information model, which captures all the information relevant to the management of the services with the same abstractions, describing the runtime elements, service dependencies, and business objectives. On top of that, a technique based on satisfiability is described which automatically diagnoses the state of the managed environment and obtains the required changes for correcting it (e.g., installation, service binding, update, or configuration). The results from a set of case studies extracted from the banking domain are provided to validate the feasibility of this propos

    Learning-Based Adaptation for Personalized Mobility Assistance

    Mobility assistance is of key importance for people with disabilities to remain autonomous in their preferred environments. In severe cases, assistance can be provided by robotized wheelchairs that can perform complex maneuvers and/or correct the user’s commands. User’s acceptance is of key importance, as some users do not like their commands to be modified. This work presents a solution to improve acceptance. It consists of making the robot learn how the user drives so corrections will not be so noticeable to the user. Case Based Reasoning (CBR) is used to acquire a user’s driving model reactive level. Experiments with volunteers at Fondazione Santa Lucia (FSL) have proven that, indeed, this customized approach at assistance increases acceptance by the user.This work has been partially supported by the Spanish Ministerio de Educacion y Ciencia (MEC), Project TEC2011-29106-C02-01.     Trypsin-SBTI interaction in reverse micelles A slow intermicellar exchange-dependent binding

    AbstractSolubilisate exchange between reverse micelles must take place before any reaction inside reverse micelles occurs if the reactants are confined to the aqueous micellar core. When the interacting species are 2 small molecules or one small molecule and one macromolecule, it has been shown that the exchange is faster than the typical turnover of an enzymatic reaction. The study of the interaction between 2 macromolecules (trypsin and soybean trypsin inhibitor) in reverse micelles carried out in this work reveals that the exchange between these macromolecule-containing reverse micelles slows down by a thousand times and the limiting-step in the exchange, the fusion, by 10* times. Both reverse micellar size (ωo = [water]/ [surfactant]) and temperature affected the rate of the fusion process. A hypothesis for the proposed active role of macromolecules in the exchange process is also given

    Modern enterprises rely on a distributed IT infrastructure to execute their business processes, adopting Service Oriented Architectures in order to improve the flexibility and ease of adaptation of their functions. Nowadays this is a vital characteristic, as the increased competition forces companies to continuously evolve and adapt. SOA applications must be supported by management and deployment systems, which have to continuously apply modifications to the distributed infrastructure. This article presents a modelbased solution for automatically applying change plans to heterogeneous enterprise managed environments. The proposed solution uses models which describe in an abstract language the changes that need to be applied to the environment, and executes all the required operations to the specific managed elements. Also, to ensure that the environment ends in a stable state, compensation for previously executed operations is supported. The validation results from a case study taken from the banking domain are also presented here

    This document analyses potential greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation measures in the Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Uses (AFOLU) sector, looking at their reportability with the IPCC methods. The main conclusions that can be drawn from this analysis are: • Mitigation strategies target either ‘observation’ or ‘parameter’ • Data changes usually have an effect on more than one emission category • All mitigation measures impact farmer’s income • Mitigation measures can be grouped in mitigation mechanism groups • Measures using the mitigation strategy ‘observation’ are relatively straight-forward to be traced in GHG inventories, some with additional data collection required • Measures using the mitigation strategy ‘parameter’ often require research programs to develop (national) differentiated emission factors • Assessing mitigation measures at the farm level is easier at the level of mitigation mechanism groups than at the level of individual mitigation measures • A modular GHG calculator tool would provide highest flexibility for farm level GHG monitoringJRC.D.5-Food Securit
