La figura del héroe nacional en el discurso cinematográfico: San Martín en Nuestra tierra de paz (1939)

Mom "Nuestra tierra de paz” (1939).Partiendo de la idea de que los discursos que representan a los héroes nacionales ponen en circulación valores y proponen modos que, dignos de ser imitados, enuncian el “cómo deberíamos ser” de cada nación (Mozejko, 1995/1996: 82). Entonces, el análisis del héroe nacional nos permitiría hacer conjeturas acerca del modelo de nación y de identidad nacional que proponen estos discursos. La ponencia se centra en un fenómeno que, a falta de mejor nombre, hemos denominado el Sanmartinismo, y consiste en una serie de discursos contemporáneos al largometraje que, producidos desde distintos lugares de enunciación, tendían a enaltecer la figura de San Martín en tanto héroe nacional. El héroe nacional en el discurso cinematográfico : la representación de San Martín en el cine argentino

El propósito de la investigación es analizar las representaciones de la figura de San Martín como héroe nacional en un corpus de filmes producidos entre 1939 y 2010. A partir de ese análisis se pretende observar diferencias, similitudes, desfasajes, permanencias, transiciones o rupturas entre las distintas representaciones en relación con las condiciones de producción de estos discursos.El corpus de análisis está conformado por los siguientes largometrajes: -Nuestra tierra de paz (Arturo S. Mom, 1939)-El Santo de la espada (Leopoldo Torre Nilsson y Ulyses Petit de Murat, 1970) -Tangos, el exilio de Gardel (Fernando Solanas, 1986)-El General y la fiebre (Jorge Coscia, 1992) -Revolución. El Cruce de los Andes (Leandro Ipiña, 2010). El tema de este trabajo serán las representaciones de San Martín como héroe nacional que se observan en el corpus elegido, y cómo a través de éstas podemos tener un acercamiento a los modos de representar de una nación. Es decir, queremos relacionar (como plantea Verón) sentido y sociedad. InGaAs/InP single-photon detector gated at 1.3 GHz with 1.5% afterpulsing

We demonstrate a single-photon detector based on InGaAs/InP single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) sinusoidalgated at 1.3 GHz with very low afterpulsing (about 1.5%), high dynamic range (maximum count rate is 650 Mcount/s), high photon detection efficiency (>30% at 1550 nm), low noise (per-gate dark count rate is 2.2 x 10(-5)), and low timing jitter (<70 ps full-width at half-maximum). The SPAD is paired with a "dummy" structure that is biased in antiphase. The sinusoidal gating signals are cancelled by means of a common-cathode configuration and by adjusting the relative amplitude and phase of the signals biasing the two arms. This configuration allows us to adjust the gating frequency from 1 to 1.4 GHz and can be operated also in the so-called gate-free mode, with the gate sine-wave unlocked with respect to the light stimulus, resulting in a free-running equivalent operation of the InGaAs/InP SPAD with about 4% average photon detection efficiency at 1550 nm

El vestido como objeto que ensambla materialidades, afectos e historia política en el contexto del carnaval barrial correntino nos permitirá complejizar el análisis de la obra y sus efectos como lenguaje, donde se entrelazan pragmáticas de resistencia colectiva, formas de vida y lenguajes de lo común.This article seeks to analyze the work of transgender artist Patricia Ramirez (City of Corrientes, 1981) in the framework of the 2020’s neighborhood carnivals where she performed as Eva Perón. The dress as an object that assembles materialities, affections and political history in the context of carnivals will allow us to complete the analysis of the work and its effects as a language where pragmatics of collective resistance, forms of life and common languages are intertwined.Facultad de Arte

Towards correcting atmospheric beam wander via pump beam control in a down conversion process

Correlated photon pairs produced by a spontaneous parametric down conversion (SPDC) process can be used for secure quantum communication over long distances including free space transmission over a link through turbulent atmosphere. We experimentally investigate the possibility to utilize the intrinsic strong correlation between the pump and output photon spatial modes to mitigate the negative targeting effects of atmospheric beam wander. Our approach is based on a demonstration observing the deflection of the beam on a spatially resolved array of single photon avalanche diodes (SPAD-array)

InGaAs/InP single-photon detector with low noise, low timing jitter and high count rate

We present a new InGaAs/InP Single-Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) with high detection efficiency and low noise, which has been employed in a sinusoidal-gated setup to achieve very low afterpulsing probability and high count rate. The new InGaAs/InP SPAD has lower noise compared to previous generations thanks to the improvement of Zinc diffusion conditions and the optimization of the vertical structure. A detector with 25 μm active-area diameter, operated in gated-mode with ON time of tens of nanoseconds, has a dark count rate of few kilo-counts per second at 225 K and 5 V of excess bias, 30% photon detection efficiency at 1550 nm and a timing jitter of less than 90 ps (FWHM) at 7 V of excess bias. In order to reduce significantly the afterpulsing probability, these detectors were operated with a sinusoidal gate at 1.3 GHz. The extremely short gate ON time (less than 200 ps) reduces the charge flowing through the junction, thus reducing the number of trapped carriers and, eventually, lowering the afterpulsing probability. The resulting detection system achieves a maximum count rate higher than 650 Mcount/s with an afterpulsing probability of about 1.5%, a photon detection efficiency greater than 30% at 1550 nm and a temporal resolution of less than 90 ps (FWHM)

An alcohol-acid resistant backache

We reported the case of a Pakistani young man, illegally residing in Italy, complaining for chronic backache. X-ray was negative, while the blood test revealed neutrophilic leukocytosis and an increase in inflammation markers. Tuberculin skin test was negative. He worsened despite of repeated cycles of analgesic therapy and fluoroquinolones. After 4 months a nuclear magnetic resonance suggested tubercular (TB) spondylitis whose etiology was confirmed by ex-juvantibus criteria. It is important to take TB in account when facing an immigrant suffering from backache, coming from a highly endemic area
