Forward-Backward Multiplicity Correlations in Au+Au Collisions at = 200 Gev
The study of correlations among particles produced in different rapidity
regions may provide understanding of the mechanisms of particle production.
Correlations that extend over a longer range are observed in hadron-hadron
interactions only at higher energies. Results for short and long-range
multiplicity correlations (Forward-Backward) are presented for Au+Au collisions
at = 200 GeV. The growth of long range correlations are
observed as a function of the pseudorapidity gap in central Au+Au collisions.
The Dual Parton model and Color Glass Condensate phenomenology have been

DTUJET--93 Sampling inelastic proton--proton and antiproton--proton collisions according to the two--component Dual Parton Model
A new version of a Monte Carlo Program for hadronic multi-particle production
is presented. It is based on the two-component Dual Parton Model which includes
the dual topological unitarization of soft and hard cross sections. The model
treats both soft (low ) and hard (minijet, large )
processes in a unified and consistent way. The unified description is important
at TeV-energies of hadron colliders, where the hard perturbative cross sections

Energy Dependence of Short and Long-Range Multiplicity Correlations in Au+Au Collisions from STAR
A general overview of the measurement of long-range multiplicity correlations
measured by the STAR experiment in Au+Au collisions at RHIC is presented. The
presence of long-range correlations can provide insight into the early stages,
and the type of matter produced in, these collisions. These measurements have
been made in Au+Au collisions at = 200 and 62.4 GeV. These
results indicate a relatively large long-range correlation is produced in Au+Au
collisions compared to a {\it pp} baseline at = 200 GeV. A
weaker long-range correlation is seen as a function of incident energy.
Further, comparison of the onset of the long-range correlation to the
calculated percolation density parameter at = 200 GeV is

Separable Measurement Estimation of Density Matrices and its Fidelity Gap with Collective Protocols
We show that there exists a gap between the performance of separable and
collective measurements in qubit mixed-state estimation that persists in the
large sample limit. We characterize such gap in terms of the corresponding
bounds on the mean fidelity. We present an adaptive protocol that attains the
separable-measurement bound. This (optimal separable) protocol uses von Neumann
measurements and can be easily implemented with current technology.Comment: version published in PR
On asimuthal anisotropy in fragmentation of classical relativistic string
A fragmenting relativistic string is widely used for modelling particle
production via quark-gluon strings formed in hadron inelastic interactions of
high energies. In this note we focus on motion and fragmentation of
relativistic string with non-zero transverse separation of its ends and study
this scenario as a possible mechanism bringing anisotropy into the asimuthal
angle disribution of produced particles in inelastic interactions of hadrons.Comment: 12 pages, 6 figure
The Monte Carlo Event Generator DPMJET-III
A new version of the Monte Carlo event generator DPMJET is presented. It is a
code system based on the Dual Parton Model and unifies all features of the
DTUNUC-2, DPMJET-II and PHOJET 1.12 event generators. DPMJET-III allows the
simulation of hadron-hadron, hadron-nucleus, nucleus-nucleus, photon-hadron,
photon-photon and photon-nucleus interactions from a few GeV up to the highest

Hard diffraction in hadron--hadron interactions and in photoproduction
Hard single diffractive processes are studied within the framework of the
triple--Pomeron approximation. Using a Pomeron structure function motivated by
Regge--theory we obtain parton distribution functions which do not obey
momentum sum rule. Based on Regge-- factorization cross sections for hard
diffraction are calculated. Furthermore, the model is applied to hard
diffractive particle production in photoproduction and in

Leakage Effect on J/psi Pt Distributions in Different Centrality Bins for Pb-Pb Collisions at E/A=160 GeV
A transport approach including a leakage effect for J/psi's in the transverse
phase space is used to calculate the ratios between the J/psi transverse
momentum distributions in several centrality bins for Pb-Pb collisions at E/A =
160 GeV. From the comparison with the CERN-SPS data, where the centrality is
characterized by the transverse energy Et, the leakage effect is extremely
important in the region of high transverse momentum and high transverse energy,
and both the threshold and the comover models can describe the ratio well for
all centrality bins except the most central one (Et < 100 GeV), for which the

Nonlinear Stability of Static N\'eel Walls in Ferromagnetic Thin Films
In this paper, the nonlinear (orbital) stability of static 180^\circ N\'eel
walls in ferromagnetic films, under the reduced wave-type dynamics for the
in-plane magnetization proposed by Capella, Melcher and Otto [CMO07], is
established. It is proved that the spectrum of the linearized operator around
the static N\'eel wall lies in the stable complex half plane with non-positive
real part. This information is used to show that small perturbations of the
static N\'eel wall converge to a translated orbit belonging to the manifold
generated by the static wall.Comment: 45 page
