    The Analytical Metaphysics of Time and the Recent Theory of History: Overtones of the Debate about Presentism

    The longstanding line of research that the analytic tradition calls metaphysics of time remains quite ignored by the theory of history.  To bring them closer, this study proposes to introduce to historians and theorists of history the metaphysics of time theses about the presentism/eternalism and the linear/closed time. For such purpose, we drew correspondences between the theory of history and the analytical metaphysics of time concerning some characteristics of the emerging concepts of historical time. These characteristics are related to the recent debate about presentism regarding the regimes of the historical time (multiple temporalities and pluritemporality); plural time in the analytical metaphysics and synchronous/asynchronous historical time; linear/closed time in the analytic tradition and being affected by historical time. As a result, this article presents how the analytical metaphysics of time theses disclose unnoticed contours related to the history theorists’ understanding about the relation with the past

    O presente artigo parte da proposição de uma pedagogia do conceito, segundo Deleuze e Guattari. Com base na mesma, isola-se e explora-se a idéia de que todo pensamento exige, como sua condição interna, "traços relacionais". Dos traços relacionais definidos pela pedagogia do conceito, enfatiza-se o "amigo" como personagem que caracteriza um dado pensamento. Nota-se que o conceito de amizade, em Deleuze e Guattari, está calcado numa teoria das relações de caráter empirista e pragmatista. O amigo é um personagem do pensamento de Deleuze e Guattari que permite pensar na relação entre um devir-mestre e um aluno-bumerangue como traços relacionais de uma pedagogia singular, calcada na diferença conceitual entre "saber" e "aprender"

    ABSTRACT This essay begins with the proposal of the "pedagogy of the concept" according to Deleuze and Guattari. On this basis, I emphasize and explore the assertion that every Philosophy demands, as its internal condition, "relationary traces". Among the relationary traces defined by this pedagogy of the concept, I choose the "friend" as a feature who characterizes a given philosophical thought. I attempt, after that, to define, in a general way, the friend and the landscape of friendship in the Plato's, Nietzsche's, Heidegger's and Foucault's philosophies

    Schizoaffective disorder and Parkinsons disease: a possible comorbidity?

    The development of Parkinsons disease (PD) is rarely reported in psychotic patients. The diagnostic complexity, especially the possibility that motor symptoms could be secondary to antipsychotics, makes difficult the recognition of the comorbidity. We report on a case of 62-year-old woman with schizoaffective disorder who developed PD. This case report emphasizes the possibility of the diagnosis of both conditions on the same patient.O desenvolvimento de doença de Parkinson (DP) em pacientes psicóticos é raramente relatado na literatura. A complexidade diagnóstica, especialmente a possibilidade de os sintomas motores serem decorrentes do uso de antipsicóticos, dificulta a identificação da comorbidade.
