Substrate influence on the ferroelectric properties of PTCa thin films
[EN] The ferroelectric properties of calcium modified lead titanate (Pb0.76Ca0.24)TiO3 (PTCa) thin films prepared by a sol - gel method
with successive crystallisations on three different substrates (A) Pt / Ti / SiO2 / Si (100), (B) Ti / Pt / Ti / SiO2 / Si(100)
y (C) Pt / TiO2 / SiO2 /Si (100), have been studied. The results of the ferroelectric characterisation show values of the spontaneous
pyroelectric coefficient close to » 5 .10-9 C cm-2 K-1. The low switching properties favour the stabilisation in time of the
pyroelectric coefficient value. Alatter annealing thermal treatment (650ºC 1h) produces changes in the ferro - piezoelectric properties
that can be related with changes in the texture of the films.

Non-volatility of ferroelectric SBT thin fims, at 75ºC
[EN] The study of the non-volatility of Strontium bismuth tantalate SrBi2Ta2O9 (SBT) FeRAM memory, at real operating conditions,
requires the ferroelectric characterisation of the material, as a thin film, above the room temperature. As a result, it has been
deposited SBT films by the sol-gel method, onto Pt/TiO2/SiO2/Si (100) substrates, using capacitors of 5 x 10–4 cm-2 .In this
work, we analysed the viability of this material as a FeRAM memory in real operating conditions, as a result of the variation
of the polarisation measurements with time (retention), performed at room temperature and 75ºC.Este trabajo ha sido realizado con el apoyo del proyecto de

Feasibility of (Pb, Ca)TiO3 thin films deposited on Pt/TiO2/SiO2/Si(100) for switching applications
[EN] (Pb,Ca)TiO3 ferroelectric thin films have been spin-coated on Pt/TiO2/SiO2/Si(100) substrates from sol-gel synthesized solutions.
Selecting the solution concentrations and the excess of PbO content, stoichiometric composicion with reduced strains are
obtained. Crystallization process by rapid thermal treatment (RTP) promote preferred orientations [001]/[100] resulting a thiner
ferroelectric-platinum interface layer, which causes the improvement of fatigue and retain behaviour, despite the use of
platinum electrodes. These experimental finds let to cosider the described methode of processing very convenient to prepare
thin films of this composition to use on switching applications such as non volatil RAM memories.Peer reviewe
Modelling Pricing Policy Based on Shelf-Life of Non Homogeneous Available-To-Promise in Fruit Supply Chains
[EN] Fruit Supply Chains (SCs) are influenced by uncontrollable natural
factors causing heterogeneity in their products, as regards certain attributes that
are relevant to customers and vary over time because of the shelf-life. As a
consequence customers should be served not only with the required quantity and
due date as usual, but also with the quality, freshness and homogeneity specified
in their orders. The order promising process (OPP) is based on the uncommitted
availability of homogeneous product quantities in planned lots (ATP) that are
uncertain. Therefore, there is a risk of not being reliable in the commitments
because of discrepancies between the real and planned homogeneous quantities.
Furthermore, due to the shelf-life (SL), serving customers with the freshest
product introduce the risk of increasing waste because of the aging process. To
efficiently manage these risks, this work proposes a mathematical model for
handling the heterogeneous ATP in fruit SCs and a pricing policy based on the
product SL in the moment of delivery. In order to illustrate the application of the
modelling approach, a short numerical example is introduced. The example
evidences a conflictive situation when optimizing the assignation of homogeneous
ATP between serving orders with fresh and more valuable product, what
could lead to increase the risk of having waste because of expiration, and
consequently, more costs and less profit. This research has been supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Telecommunications, government of Costa Rica (MICITT), through the program of innovation and human capital for competitiveness (PINN) (PED-019-2015-1).Grillo-Espinoza, H.; Alemany Díaz, MDM.; Ortiz Bas, Á.
manera genérica, y luego, particularizada a empresas cerámicas MTS.
Peer reviewe

Taxonomic assignment in metagenomics with TANGO
One of the main computational challenges facing metagenomic analysis is the taxonomic identification of short DNA fragments. The combination of sequence alignment methods with taxonomic assignment based on consensus can provide an accurate estimate of the microbial diversity in a sample. In this note, we show how recent improvements to these consensus methods, as implemented in the latest release of the TANGO tool, can provide an improved estimate of diversity in simulated datasets.Peer ReviewedPostprint (published version
