Interview conducted at The Ohio State University Archives, Columbus, Ohio.Jill Bystydzienski describes her experiences as chair of the Department of Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies at The Ohio State University. Bystydzienski came to Ohio State and assumed the chair position in 2006. During her time at the University, she also held the position of chair of the President’s Council on Women, and was a Co-Principal Investigator for a prestigious National Science Foundation Advance Institutional Transformation grant. Bystydzienski discusses the changes she implemented in her department to address equity issues. She also discusses the work she did in the community to make STEM career paths more accessible and viable to young women
