Solitary and compact-like shear waves in the bulk of solids
We show that a model proposed by Rubin, Rosenau, and Gottlieb [J. Appl. Phys.
77 (1995) 4054], for dispersion caused by an inherent material characteristic
length, belongs to the class of simple materials. Therefore, it is possible to
generalize the idea of Rubin, Rosenau, and Gottlieb to include a wide range of
material models, from nonlinear elasticity to turbulence. Using this insight,
we are able to fine-tune nonlinear and dispersive effects in the theory of
nonlinear elasticity in order to generate pulse solitary waves and also bulk
travelling waves with compact support

RESEARCHES CONCERNING THE CAPACITY OF SOME MACROMYCETES SPECIES FOR ACCUMULATING HEAVY AND RARE METALS
It is necessary today to increase in Romania also the efforts to research in direction of identifying those biosystems which are hyperaccumulators for heavy and rare metals in order to be used as instruments in environmental clean biotechnologies as well as bioindicators or metal sources. In USA and Australia the researches in this way are extended over all common species of mushrooms (macromycetes).
That is the reason we determinated the chemical content in metals of some macromycetes (mushrooms) species
which are autochthonous in forestry ecosystems of Dambovita county. We begun a large study in this aria, but in
this paper we present a study about two species very common in our forestry ecosystems - Armillariella mellea
and Macrolepiota procera. In the same time we made the analyses of soil elemental content under macromycetes
studied. The determinations were made by spectrometry advanced method in our own laboratories by ElvaX spectrometer. The resultes show a large elemental content in soil, but the content over 1ppm in bioelements, heavy and rare metals as number in two macromycetes species is a limited one. Everyone of two macromycetes species contains heavy metals (Fe, Cu, Zn) and rare metals (Re, Os)
Global generalized solutions for Maxwell-alpha and Euler-alpha equations
We study initial-boundary value problems for the Lagrangian averaged alpha
models for the equations of motion for the corotational Maxwell and inviscid
fluids in 2D and 3D. We show existence of (global in time) dissipative

Reputation and Accountability Relationships: Managing Accountability Expectations through Reputation
ArticleAccountability is said to be about the management of expectations. Empirical studies reveal considerable variation in organizational interest, intensity and investment in accountability relationships. Less is known, however, as to what explains these observed variations. Drawing on accountability and reputation-concerned literatures, this paper argues that a reputation-based perspective to accountability offers an underlying logic that explains how account-giving actors and account-holding forums actually manage these expectations, how organisations make sense of and prioritise among accountability responsibilities. Reputational considerations act as a filtering mechanism of external demands and help account for variations in degrees of interest in, and intensity of, accountability. The resulting accountability outcomes are co-produced by the reputational investment of both account-giver and account-holder, resulting in distinct accountability constellations and outcome
The Inviscid Limit and Boundary Layers for Navier-Stokes Flows
The validity of the vanishing viscosity limit, that is, whether solutions of
the Navier-Stokes equations modeling viscous incompressible flows converge to
solutions of the Euler equations modeling inviscid incompressible flows as
viscosity approaches zero, is one of the most fundamental issues in
mathematical fluid mechanics. The problem is classified into two categories:
the case when the physical boundary is absent, and the case when the physical
boundary is present and the effect of the boundary layer becomes significant.
The aim of this article is to review recent progress on the mathematical
